    PRINTING METHOD-

    Newsstand Style:

Our definition of "Newsstand" Style magazines

are magazines that are run on coated paper onHeat Set Web Presses. We coined the word

"Newsstand Style" because the majority of

magazines found on newsstand use this printing

method with only small variations on paper

    quality and thickness.

    TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT

    (TQM)-

"TQM is a management approach for an

organization, centered on quality, based on

the participation of all its members and

    aiming at long-term success through

customer satisfaction, and benefits to all

members of the organization and to society."

  • 8/14/2019 The Rising(2)

    16/26

Our TQM comprises four process steps-

    1. Focuses on "Continuous Process

    Improvement", to make processes visible,

    repeatable and measurable.

    2. The idea that "things will work as they are

supposed to" (for example, a pen will write).

  • 8/14/2019 The Rising(2)

    17/26

    3. Examining the way the user applies the

product leads to improvement in theproduct itself.

    4. The idea that "things should have an

aesthetic quality" (for example, a pen will

write in a way that is pleasing to the writer)
