PRINCIPLES
in Adult General Education
Individuals:
• have a right to the formal recognition of learning and competencies corresponding to components of qualifying training insofar as they are able to provide evidence that they
thpossess them
• do not have to redo in a formal educational setting any learning they have already acquired in other contexts or other ways
• should not be obliged to seek recognition again for competencies or prior learning that have been properly evaluated and certified by an official system
