Counselor’s Corner

December 2016

It’s during this time of year I like to take time

with my family to reflect on the things and

people in our lives that we have to be thankful

for (i.e. our health, family and friends). I hope

you too will take time during this holiday sea-

son to reflect with your children on the people

and things in your lives that you are thankful

for. I would like to thank you for allowing me

to be a part of your children’s lives and helping

them on their educational journey. We look

forward to a continued partnership with you

throughout the year. I hope you enjoy your

time together during this holiday season!

Greetings Warren Township parents and guardians!

Over the next few weeks, students in Warren Township will be receiving Indianapolis Public Library eCards. These new cards are only for electronic material. If your student had a library card previously, they will not receive a new card, but will be reminded of their barcode number.

The eCards can be used at: www.ecollection.indypl.org for eMaterial such as eBooks and audio books. Additional resources such as magazines and databases for research can be accessed from the homepage at: www.indypl.org

Training videos on how to use the eCard can be found at: https://goo.gl/QtXfdh

Happy reading!

News from Mrs. Davenport-Orchestra The bands and orchestras will be participating in a fundraiser: "POWER HOUR" to raise money for supplies, music, Contest fees and general operating expenses. The product will be a "key chain tag” which will offer discounts to East side Indy restaurants, businesses etc. The card can be used over and over! Two tags for only $20.00! 7th grade band and orchestra students participating after school on December 12th and the 8th graders after school on December 8th. Please support our school music program by purchasing tags by contacting Mrs. Davenport, Mr. Brooks or any band or orchestra member. Tags will be delivered to students before Winter break!

Canned Food Drive through December 5th

Student Council and National Junior Honor Society members will be collecting canned goods until December 5

every morning in the bus commons.

Please encourage your students to bring in canned goods – these will all be donated to Sunny Day, which is an organization that helps Warren Township’s families in need. The AM1/ 1st period class with the most cans will win a donut breakfast. Thanks for your support!
