The Book of Genesis tells us that woman came from man’s flesh...
What the Bible doesn’t tell us are the emotions of the first man and woman. Instead, we were told of their struggles, repentance, and children. And that’s where the storyline ended for them.
This is the untold story of Eve’s separation from Adam right after they were banished from the Garden of Eden. After the treachery of the snake. After the betrayal of mankind to God. When knowledge was acquired by eating the forbidden fruit. She might be looking for Adam, but she is in fact looking for herself when everything seems lost.
Yes, a woman must always be beside her man, but what if we saw Eve in a different light? Her desires. Her agony. Her happiness. She is the first mother, after all.
We see Eve an independent woman. A woman of her prime. Alone, yes, but strong. In the wilderness she prospers, because in the wilderness she’s free showing us that a woman doesn’t need a man to survive the elements.
This is reimagining of Eve’s isolation, solitude, and freedom.
