ST. JUDES PLAYERS. - Graham Gurry – for Bookings - 82967646

In 2020, there will be three plays performed by the Saint Jude's Players. The first play, which we will attend on Thursday May 7, is The Ghost Train by Arnold Ridley. It is a classic comedy thriller about passengers stranded at a remote railway station. On August 13 we will see, The Pig People, an Australian play written by John Doyle, of Roy and HG fame and is a satire set in a suburban street with not enough parking for the residents! The final play on November 19 is Game Plan by England's great modern living playwright Alan Ayckbourne. It is a dark comedy about a woman whose business and husband disappeared after the dot.com crash early this century. She and her tech savvy daughter start up a new business with unexpected results! Book early and often!

Don’t forget - We will meet at the Marion /Warradale Uniting Church Hall in Township Rd., Marion. Please note this alteration for February and March.

YOUR CLUB REPORTS COMPUTER GROUP

Our next meeting will be Friday 6th March 2020 starting at 10am, in the Shearing Shed room on the 1st floor with the topic of Saving Photos and Editing. At our Probus club Computer Group meeting on February 7th we had 16 members and partners attend with 2 apologies. Our special

guest was David Gerschwitz from Cherry Computers (497 Brighton Road, Brighton phone

82981211 who did a question and answer session with us on both Apple and Windows problems. We even had questions on NBN which were answered! Everyone in attendance asked a question, which David answered in pure and simple terms to the group. It was a great session and all who attended were extremely happy with the meeting. We thank David for participating at the meeting with us, also we encourage all members to support Cherry Computers who are great supporters to our club. We hope to see all Probus Club of Marion members and partners attend our March meeting. Thank You and Regards Bob Brammy - coordinator. WALKING GROUP: Hello to all our exercise lovers! We are told that we should spend 30 minutes daily on exercise. So, it is great to see so many Members come out on a Monday morning to get their 30 minutes’ worth! We have a new organiser to start from the AGM. Chris Yeates is going to do the organising. Welcome Chris! 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th March - 9.00am Club Marion

MUSIC GROUP:

Don’t forget, we meet again on Friday 13th March at 10.05 am in the Shearing Shed

room on the 1st floor. The last Music group meeting was on Friday 14 February and the “Hobson’s Choice” format proved to be great fun and very popular with attendees. So much so that we may repeat the idea for the last meeting of the year in

November. The next meeting will be Friday 13 March at 10.05 am at the Sports Club and being March, the theme will be 'Marching and Brass Band Music’. Bring along any tracks you have for an entertaining morning. All welcome including wives and partners.” Max Bowden SPECIAL LADIES REPORT – Ray Brand There have been no other reports of Special ladies being in ill health. All well & Okay.

WELFARE REPORT – Graham Brown: Caring for David Lloyd, Don Heath, Brian Walsh, John Lienert, Barry Lange, Michael Willemer, Ted Coote, John Minns, Bill Markey, Bruce Stock. All receiving Care and Attention. WEBSITE REPORT (assisted by Graham Mitchell, David

10 PIN BOWLING REPORT. This was a split round, as our Xmas suspension came in to the program. I have sorted the bowlers that had 2 or more games & selected the best 2 game to obtain a result. Off course it is not a competition! Bob Brammy had 257 & 256 total 513, Tony Hepperlin 234, 233, 467, Kevin Denton 208, 24,1 449,

[don't forget I had a crook shoulder!] Chris Yeates 186, 214, 400, Maurie Dickeson 178, 211. 389, Peter Lewis 190, 197 387, Betty Brown 177, 199, 376, Neville De Young 170, 195, 365, Neville has a crook ankle as his excuse, maybe he kicks the ball down? Not much in it, surprising how close the individual scores of each person are week by week, with myself & Maurie with 33 the largest difference, Chris 28, Neville 25, Betty 22, the rest only a pin or so difference. The main result is that we all had a good fun morning of sledging, fun & laughter. It will be on again in March on

Tuesday 10th & 24th. of the month, come along & join in. Every one welcome, injuries & all. Bowler of the month this Month is Gerald Brown as he comes along in support of his wife Betty, but sledges all the other players to put them off their game. It’s easy on the side lines, so he can

bring the cake. No further discussion entered into. Thanks Kevin D. *******
