CMS 2013-2014 Wrestling Team By LeVoide Simpson and April Triplett
Wrestling season is here!!!! This year’s team is coached by Coach Vaughn, Coach Jobe, and Coach Beck. This year a lot of people wanted to wrestle. “It challenges me” said Cole Clifton. He is one of the top wrestlers. One of his best score records was 5-0 (5 wins 0 losses). A lot of the guys like to build strength to feel powerful against their opponent. Trai Warburton said, “It lets me be me.” Something new for the wrestling team this year is hav-ing a girl on the team, Veronica Smith. “All I want to do is prove to the guys that I can do the same thing plus I could win!!” said Veronica Smith. Although wrestling could be dangerous, “It’s thrilling” said Cole Clifton. Wrestling could be for anyone. I mean, anyone could win or lose. Obviously you would want to win. But some of the worst things is getting single legged. Kainen Allenbrand said, “Once I dou-ble legged the kid. Then he just stopped moving.” Don’t forget to cheer on CMS.
Breast Cancer Walk By: Haley Carmack and Mackenzie Singleton
The Breast Cancer Walk here at Clark Middle School was hosted by Mrs. Stephan’s 8th grade crew. The walk took place during seventh hour on October 25, 2013 for only $3.00 per student. “I feel like I contributed to the walk, but I also feel like 3 dollars was-n’t quite enough until it came together,” said Chasity McKeehan. After the students proceeded to the auditorium, they were giv-en a little pink ribbon for showing their sup-port. Then during 7th hour, they walked the track and talked and hung-out with their friends. When breast cancer spreads to your lymph-nodes or your arm-pit, it is still able to be cured, but if it spreads to your liver,
lungs, or your bones it is not curable. 98% of the women who get early stage breast can-cer will live up to five years after diagnosis. An estimated 20-30% of women will get breast cancer again, and may go on to die. Scientist’s however have not found a way to keep breast cancer from coming back. All the money our school has made will go to a breast cancer research center to help find a way to cure breast cancer.
We chose this comic because it goes with Ohms and resisters
which are both part of what we are learning and building in
science. Resisters are little bumps in the road of a circuit and
in this comic the Ohm (which is the unit of measurement for
resisters) is telling the resister that he doesn’t have to resist an-
ything. In the back you can see more Ohms meditating and
saying their name at the same time.
World Series BY: Josiah Crowley &
Nick Passinese Boston won the World Se-ries at the end of six games, and they won at home. It was the first time since 1918 that Boston had won the World Series at home. Ticket buyers were willing to spend $1,100 for bleacher seats. Someone
who wanted great seats for Mon-days game spent $24,000. All the games so far have been pitching duels and have been decided by two runs or fewer. Also both teams have had sloppy field play. The Car-dinals have won 11 championships and the Red Sox have won 7 cham-pionships. The Cardinals last cham-pionship was in 2011, and Red Sox last won in 2007.
Red Sox 1B and DH David Ortiz lead the American League
post-season in homeruns and RBI’s. Cardinals Carlos Beltran leads the National League post-season in RBI’s. Michael Wacha and Jon Lester lead the NL and AL in wins with 4. Michael Wacha is a rookie. Both of St. Louis’s wins in the series have been by errors by Boston. Koji Uehara Boston’s closer leads the MLB with 7 saves in the post-season.
This comic goes with the Sedition and
Alien Acts that we have learned in so-
cial studys. The Sedition and Alien
Acts made it were the president could
deport immigrants or imprison them.

GTA V is an M rated game which in
hind sight is a violent game but it’s not your
average shooter. GTA V is a game where you
live life to the fullest there are many things you
can do in GTA V that are non-violent like buy
stocks, golf, tennis, skydiving, racing, and have
a dog. You can see GTA V is not just a violent
game. It can be a peaceful game to if you set
aside all of the bad stuff. Besides these activi-
ties you can do some fun things like stunts like
driving off a ramp at full speed.
GTA V also has a thing called Easter
eggs. Basically an Easter egg is something the
creators put in the game for fun so the players
could have some laughs. Some of the Easter
eggs consist of Bigfoot sightings, UFO sight-
ings and a deer man. Even though these Easter
eggs are hidden people still seem to find them.
Another thing is that there is skyfall which tel-
eports you in the middle of the air and you
simply fall.

Recent footage has been released of star wars bloopers.
Published on Oct 27, 2013
If you are a Star Wars fan then you will love these
bloopers. They are funny and just are rare because the Star
Wars series was very popular. You don’t find these that
easy. They are mostly just speech accidents but some Storm
troopers fall. These bloopers were also released at comic-
con. There are more bloopers than just the ones in the video
above. If you want more Star Wars bloopers check them
out on YouTube.
