Question: What is the right thing to do in order to earn our salvation?

Question: Does God choose some people for salvations and forsake others?

Question: What is your message?

The new Messiah: My message is to warn people of the wrong religion teachings

The bad scribes distorted the true word of God like Psalms 1, 11, 33, 37, which teach that God

watches everyone, examines both the righteous and the wicked into Psalm 14 and 53 which teach

that all people are sinners

They ignored the true verses which teach that there are also righteous people who obey

They built the wrong doctrines of Original Sin and Total Depravity on the distorted verses of Psalm

14 and 53 which are prophecies about a fool who wanted to excuse himself by claiming that all

people are also bad. The scribes added verse 14:2 in order to claim that verses Psalm 14:1-3 are the

words of God not the words of the fool

The original true verse is Psalms 1,11,33,37 like Psalm 11:4-5 teach that God watches everyone,

examines both the righteous and the wicked

The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord is on his heavenly throne.

He observes everyone on earth; his eyes examine them.

The Lord examines the righteous, but the wicked, those who love violence,

he hates with a passion

The added verse of Psalm 14:2 is a copy of Psalm 11:4-5 to show that the verses in Psalm 14:1-3 are

the words of God and not the words of the fool.

The true words of God are the same as in the other bible verses which teach that there are righteous

and wicked; Psalm 14-1-3 are not the words of God but are the words of the fool who wanted to

excuse himself by claiming that all people are also bad

When Jacob’s descendants wanted to glorify him, they claimed that he wrestled with God and was

saved. The verses in Genesis 32:24-30 teach that Jacob was able to wrestle with God; he said to God

"I will not let you go unless you bless me”

Page 4: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Although the true teachings of Deuteronomy 10:17 teach that God does not favour ‘who shows no

partiality’, the descendants of Jacob wanted to glorify him in the name of God; they added the

distorted teaching of Genesis 25:23 and Malachi 1:2-3 “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated”

They wanted to say that it is the will of God to choose them regardless of any condition like good

work and true faith. That distorted teaching is against the true teachings of Moses that God chooses

the righteous who obey and curse the wicked as the core and the most reiterated teachings of

Deuteronomy 28, Leviticus 18:4-5, Deuteronomy 11:18-20, 11:26-28 , Deuteronomy 32:46-47,

Deuteronomy 30:15-16 , and Deuteronomy 30:19

The same mistake is also committed by the Christian scholars who teach the wrong doctrine of

unconditional election and by the Muslim scholars who teach that some Muslims are predestined to

heaven before they are born and before they have any chance to do good or bad deeds

Instead of the true teaching ‘You shall not murder’ In Exodus 20:13 and Deuteronomy 5:17

The scribes who glorify defeating their enemies ignored the true teaching and added some verses to

justify the killing like Exodus 23:23, Deuteronomy 13:15, Numbers 31:16-18, Joshua 6:20-21, Judges

15:14-16 and Judges 16:30

Deuteronomy 30:11-14 teach that obedience is possible; the verses have been copied into Romans

10:5-9 in order to change the salvation by obedience into the salvation by faith alone

Some teachers do not teach that obedience is possible; they do not teach Deuteronomy 30:11-14

anymore; they teach the distorted teachings which teach that obedience is not possible like Romans

7:14-25, Romans 10:5-9 and Galatians 3:10

The true verses of Deuteronomy 30:11-14 are:

Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your

reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to

get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you

have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey

it?” No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey

it

The distorted verses of Romans 10:5-9 are:

Page 5: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on the law

shall live by it. But the righteousness based on faith says, "Do not say in your heart,

Who will ascend into heaven?" (that is, to bring Christ down) or "Who will descend in

the abyss?" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? The

word is near you, on your lips and in your heart (that is, the word of faith which we

preach); because if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your

heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved

Romans 7:19 teaches

For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing

Galatians 3:10 teaches All who rely on observing the law are under a curse

Instead of the true and most reiterated teachings of ‘blessings for obedience and curses for

disobedience’ in Deuteronomy 28, Leviticus 18:4-5, Deuteronomy 11:18-20, 11:26-28 , Deuteronomy

32:46-47, Deuteronomy 30:15-16 , and Deuteronomy 30:19, some teachers teach that God chooses

people regardless of their obedience as in the distorted teachings of Deuteronomy 9:5-6 and

Deuteronomy 7:6, Malachi 1:2, Romans 9:13

Do not believe that Hebrews 9:22 is the true word of God; that verse “without the shedding of

blood there is no forgiveness” is a misunderstanding of verse Leviticus 17:11 which is not about

atonement, but is about dietary laws. God has clarified that blood in meat is not good for health;

that clarification was necessary to the people who do not have advanced medical tools to know that

eating the meat with the blood still in it is bad for health

The true word of God is not what is written by the unknown writer of Hebrews; it is what has been

taught by Moses, Jesus and the Prophets who taught the forgiveness is possible via obedience,

repentance, and prayers

Deuteronomy 4:30-31 teach ‘if you come back to God, He will accept you’ is also taught by Jesus in

the parable of the rebellious son (Luke 15) when he repented, he had been accepted

Page 6: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Ezekiel 18:23 teaches that God forgives the wicked when they repent and obey

Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather

that he should turn from his way and live?

Hosea 6:6 teaches that forgiveness is possible by repentance and obedience; no sacrifice is

necessary

“I desire mercy and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.”

Psalm 69:30-31 teach that praise worship is better than sacrifice

“I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. This also shall

please the LORD better than an ox or bull”

Proverbs 16:6 teaches that “In mercy and truth atonement is provided for iniquity.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 teaches that forgiveness is obtainable without blood sacrifice

If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and

turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal

their land

In I Kings 8:46-50, Solomon indicated that prayer can be used to obtain forgiveness

Jonah 3 teach that people are forgiven when they repented and fasted, without offering any sacrifice

and without shedding any blood

Page 7: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Isaiah 30:15 teaches in repentance and obedience is your salvation

In Luke 13:3, 13:5, Jesus taught ‘unless you repent, you will perish’

Do not think that the Children inherit the sins of the parents

In Exodus 32:33, When Moses tried to take the sins of the people onto himself, God denied him:

The Lord replied to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book

Deuteronomy 24:16 and 2 Kings 14:6 refute the teachings of the original sin; the verses teach that

the children are not responsible for the mistakes of the fathers

The fathers shall not be put to death for the children; neither shall the children be put to

death for the fathers. Every man shall be put to death for his own sin

According to the consistent Prophet’s teachings, not all people are sinners; there are also those who

obey and who are righteous

Psalm 1 Clarifies that there are Righteous and there are Wicked; it does not teach that all people are

born sinners

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,

nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;

but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He

is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season,

and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers

Psalm 11:4-6 teach that God observes the righteous and the wicked (not all people are sinners)

The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord is on his heavenly throne.

He observes everyone on earth; his eyes examine them.

The Lord examines the righteous, but the wicked, those who love violence,

he hates with a passion

Page 8: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Psalm 128 teach that there are righteous who will be blessed for their obedience

Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him.

You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours

Proverbs 9:12 teaches that every person has the choice to be good or bad; people are not born

sinners

If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer

Proverbs 11:5-6 teach that there are righteous who obey and there are wicked who choose to follow

evil desires

The righteousness of the blameless makes their paths straight,

but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.

The righteousness of the upright delivers them,

but the unfaithful are trapped by evil desires

Isaiah 3:10-11 confirms the consistent teachings of the Prophets, It teaches that there are righteous

who will be rewarded the fruit of their deeds and there are wicked who will be punished for what

their hands have done

Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds.

Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them!

They will be paid back for what their hands have done

Jeremiah 31:30 teach that each person will be punished for the sins he has done; sins are not

inherited

Instead, everyone will die for their own sin; whoever eats sour grapes—their own teeth

will be set on edge

The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall

the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him,

and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him - Ezekiel 18:20

Page 9: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Ezekiel 33:8 and 33:20 teach that the wicked person will die for his own sin

That is also the common sense according to the gifts of minds and conscience; that is what wise

judges do everywhere and every day. Fair judges do not punish the sons for the mistakes of the

fathers

Ezekiel 18:23 teaches that God does not create people as sinners or wicked, but God forgives them

when they repent and obey

Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather

that he should turn from his way and live?

People should not believe that the children are born sinners; the distorted teachings of Psalm 14

must be wrong. The distorted teaching of Romans 3:10-12 must be wrong because it is based on the

wrong teachings of Psalm 14

The doctrine of original sin is wrong because it excuses the sinner; it shows God as unjust and as

responsible for sin. The doctrine is wrong because it contradicts the most reiterated and consistent

scripture teachings

In Mark 10:13-16 and Luke 18:16-17 Jesus taught that the children are not born sinners

Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God

belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of

God like a little child will never enter it

Acts 3:19 refutes the doctrine of Original Sin; it teaches that when people turn to God, their sins will

be wiped out

James. 4:17 clarifies that it is up to people to be sinners or righteous

If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn't do it, it is sin for them

Since that rule is not applicable to the new born babies, then they cannot be born sinners

Page 10: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

James 1:14-15 teach that no one is born a sinner, but the person becomes a sinner because he

chooses to disobey and to do wrong

but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and

enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-

grown, gives birth to death

James 2:8 teaches that it is up to people to obey

If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, Love your neighbour as

yourself, you are doing right

James 1:25 teaches that those who choose to obey will be blessed

But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not

forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do

1 John 3:4 teaches that sin is transgression, not transmission.

Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness

When the priests wanted to give themselves more authority, they have added to the end of Mark

verses 16:9-20; the bible footnotes explain that end of Mark which is copied to the end of Matthew

was not in the old scripture

Bad teachers do not teach the true teachings which urges us to obey God’s law like Deuteronomy

6:4-9, Deuteronomy 11:18-20, 11:26-28 , Deuteronomy 32:46-47, Deuteronomy 30:15-16 ,

Deuteronomy 30:19, and Leviticus 18:4-5 which are confirmed by Jesus in Matthew 22:35-40, Luke

10:25-28, Mark 12:28-34, but they teach the distorted teachings like

We are saved by grace through faith apart from works - Ephesians 2:8-9

Even when we were dead in sins, we are saved by grace - Ephesians 2:5

A man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law - Romans 3:28

A man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith - Galatians 2:16

For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse - Galatians 3:10

Page 11: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

The bad teachers do not teach the true harsh teachings like If your eye causes you to stumble,

pluck it out and throw it away which is taught by Jesus in Matthew 18:9, Matthew 5:29 and Mark

9:47, but they teach the attractive teachings which were never taught by Jesus like

God has chosen us before the foundations of the world - Ephesians 1:4

God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation - 2 Thessalonians 2:13

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation - 1 Thessalonians 5:9

But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed!

1 Corinthians 15:51

God has saved us and called us - 2 Timothy 1:9

we have been justified through faith - Romans 5:1, Romans 5:9

Bad teachers do not teach the true teachings like Matthew 10:8

Freely you have received; freely give; they teach that it is o.k. to reap the financial gifts in

exchange of the spiritual gifts in 1 Corinthians 9:11

Instead of the true and harsh teachings of Jesus in Matthew 7:21-27, Luke 13:25-27, Matthew 22:35-

40, Luke 10:25-28, Matthew 25:35-45, Mark 12:28-34, Mark 10:17-19, Matthew 19:16-19, Luke

18:18-20, Luke 6:46-48, John 14:15 and John 14:21 most Christian scholars teach the distorted and

attractive teachings like Romans 8:30, 1 Thessalonians 5:9, Ephesians 2:5, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans

3:28, Galatians 2:16, Colossians 2:14 and Ephesians 1:4

When the scribes wanted to support the doctrine of Trinity; they have added verses like 1 John 5:7

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy

Ghost: and these three are one

The bible footnotes explains that verse 1 John 5:7 was not in the original old scriptures

Page 12: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Jesus referred to himself as “son of man”. Jesus was not all-knowledgeable and he prayed to GOD,

so this is enough to say that he wasn’t God nor did God come down to earth to be Jesus.

Jesus said, “And this is life eternal, that they might know You the only true God, and Jesus

Christ, whom You have sent.” John 17:3

Jesus said that he does not know everything; he said that only God knows

But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only

the Father Mark 13:32

Jesus said that he is not equal to God

“I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek

not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.” John 5:30

Jesus said, “The Father is greater than I.” John 14:28

“Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.” John 7:16

Jesus prayed to God as written in Mark 1:35, Luke 5:16, John 17:11, Matthew 26:39, Luke 10:21,

Luke 22:44

“my Father and your Father; my God and your God” John 20:17

The disciples did not pray to Jesus, they prayed to the God and Father of Jesus

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ…” 1 Peter 1:3

Jesus introduced himself as a Prophet and people accepted him as a prophet, not as a God in

Matthew 13:57, John 9:17, Matthew 21:11, Luke 7:16, Luke 24:19, John 6:14, Matthew 14:5,

Matthew 21:46, John 7:40-41, and in Matthew 24:36

Page 13: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Jesus never said I am God; In the Old Testimony God says he is God several times, but Jesus did not

say so in the New Testimony

Isaiah 45:5 and 46:9 ‘no God beside me’, ‘none like me’

In John 17:6-8 and John 13:3 Jesus explained that God has given power and authority, he did not

own it

“I have manifested Your name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world; they

were Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. “Now they have

come to know that everything You have given Me is from You; for the words which You

gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I

came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me

John 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a

commandment, what I should say

John 14:24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are

not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me

In Matthew 19:16-17 and Luke 18:19 Jesus denied being good in the sense that God is good.

‘Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.’

Jesus is called a man many times in the Bible John 8:40, Acts 2:22, Acts 17:31

‘a man who has told you the truth’

Question: Before you teach us the religion teachings, we need to know the objectives of our life, why

are we here? Why did God create us?

Question: Does religion help us to know the objectives of our life on earth?

Page 14: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Question: Before you urge us to obey, you should first explain to us why are we here?

Question: The wise manager sets the objectives of each person and evaluates each person according

to the achievements of the defined objectives; we expect that God would guide us to our life

objectives

Question: We have been advised to set some objectives and to work hard to achieve our objectives;

we are concerned because we might not identify the right objectives of life

Question: Is it a good objective to try to be a wealthy person or a powerful politician?

Question: In the absence of clear objectives, we cannot ignite our inert energy; that is because the

objectives are disputed, if we ask many people about life’s objectives, we get different answers

Question: If we are not doing the right job, it does not really matter how perfect we do it; our work

might be rejected because it might not be the required work as per the right objectives

The New Messiah: Yes, the wise manager sets clear objectives to each person and does the

evaluations according to the achievements of those objectives; when we analyse the religion

teachings, we find many verses which set the objectives and which define the rewards according to

the achievements of the objectives.

The New Messiah: According to the teachings of different religions, our life on earth is only a primary

testing period. We are not supposed to relax and enjoy ourselves during the test, we should not

expect that the test questions are clearly known in advance, we should expect difficulties during the

test, and we will be rewarded according to our faith, our obedience, our compassion, and our good

deeds

If we review the teachings of Judaism like Exodus 20:20, Deuteronomy 8:2, Deuteronomy 13:3, we

find that God tests people to know who obeys and who does not obey

Question: Why does God allow suffering?

Page 15: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Answer: Testing periods are not supposed to be convenient and easy

Question: What is the objective of testing?

Answer: Before the wealthy father distributes his wealth, he wants to record which son is obedient,

the records are not for the father who knows, but as a testimony for people who might question the

justice of their father

Question: Why does God test us; he already knows our deeds?

Although the wise teacher knows the hard working students and the careless students, he prepares

regular exams as testimonies so that the students would not say that the teacher had favoured some

students over the others. Exams also urge students to get prepared in order to succeed

Students should not wander about the intention of the teacher; they should focus on what the

teacher told them to know and on what the teacher told them to do

The father has the right to test his sons before he distributes his wealth; the sons should not wander

about the intentions of the father, they are supposed to focus on what the father asked them to

know and on what the father asked them to do

Although God knows what’s in our hearts and what each of us might do, he tests us and wanted us

to witness our own test results in order to admit that we have been fairly rewarded according to our

achievements as recorded in the test results

God has told us that we are here for testing and that he has better rewards for the obedient who

does good deeds to help others. We should not waste time in any assumptions about God’s

intentions, about who will be chosen, but we should obey and do good deeds in order to pass the

test

We have ignored that fact, we could have obeyed God and helped others in order to transform earth

into a paradise, but we have wasted our efforts in useless debates, thousands of books, millions of

Page 16: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

articles and web pages on the intentions of God, on his foreknowledge, and on everything that he

did not ask us to do

We should not blame the teacher who provides the books and the guidelines, the blame should go

to the student who disobeys and who ignores the guidelines

Do not blame the parents who motivate and urge the son to succeed; the one to be blamed is the

son who ignores the guidelines provided by the parents and who expected that someone could pass

the exams on his behalf

Those who ignore life’s objectives will regret it when they see the records of their deeds; they would

wish to come back to this life in order to obey, to feed the hungry and to help the poor

Question: We have been asked to believe but we did not see God or Heaven?

Answer: The students in the first grade are told that all what they need to know is to read, to write

and to count; that is all the required knowledge in that stage

The teacher does not tell them all what he knows; he provides them with the necessary information

for that stage in order to enable them to read, to write and to count

The wealthy father who sends his sons in a testing mission before distributing his wealth does not

tell them everything; he only provide them with some money and some guidelines for the test. The

father might know the good son who helps others and the bad son who persecutes others, but the

test would be a testimony that the father is not biased when he rewards the good son better

rewards

The father does not tell his sons all what he knows; he provides them with the necessary information

to pass a certain stage

The testing questions and answers are not supposed to be disclosed before the exam; testing

environment necessitates some doubts and enables different choices and different decisions

Page 17: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Question: How can the same test apply to all people; some people are more educated, people have

different levels of experience; some people had the chance to know about the teachings of the

prophets

Answer: The test does not depend on the level of education, a child may say ‘I do not see the plane

any more, it is getting far away, it is still there but my sight does not reach it; God must be there but

my sight does not reach him’

And we might find a scientist who might conclude that, ‘I do not see God, then there is no God’

The test does not depend on the level of religion education, maybe someone who never heard of

the religion teachings say, ‘Since I cannot accept that bad thing to myself, I wouldn’t accept it to

others’

The test wouldn’t depend on the knowledge of religion teachings, although it is confirmed by all

religions

We may find some scholars who know the religion teachings but they accept to persecute and

torture others, those are the bad trees which the prophet have warned us of them and of their bad

fruits

The wise teacher sets different evaluation criteria for different grades; the students in the first grade

are not evaluated as the students in the advanced degrees. We expect the fair and wise God would

evaluate people according to what they have been given. The person who never heard of Prophets

would have an easier test based on the gift of intelligence and conscience; he might not be punished

at all

Question: Does God choose some people to be his own children and forsake others?

Answer: God is not biased, Deuteronomy 10:17 teaches that God does not favour as it is written

Who shows no partiality

Page 18: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

God favours the obedient son; the measure set by God is: if you obey and do good deeds to help

others then you will be blessed, if you do not obey and do not do good deeds to help others then

you will be cursed

If you are a Jew; you will find out that the most frequent teachings of the Old Testimony are:

blessings for obedience and Curses for disobedience

Deuteronomy 11:26-28 teaches See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse - the

blessing if you obey the commands of God that I am giving you today; the curse if you disobey

the commands of God and turn from the way that I command you today

In Deuteronomy 32:46-47 he said to them Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to

you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law

- They are not just idle words for you—they are your life

Deuteronomy 28:2-6 teaches All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey

God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be

blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds

and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be

blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out

In Deuteronomy 30:15-16 Moses reiterated See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death

and destruction. - For I command you today to love God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep

his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase

Deuteronomy 30:19 teaches This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you

that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and

your children may live

In Deuteronomy 10:12-13, Moses said: what does God ask of you but to fear God, to walk in all his

ways, to love him, to serve God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the

LORD's commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?

Page 19: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

The same consistent teachings are also confirmed in Deuteronomy 7:12-16, Deuteronomy 11:13-15,

Deuteronomy 15:5-6 and Leviticus 26

Deuteronomy 29:9 also urges people to follow the law in order to succeed

Therefore keep the words of this covenant and do them, that you may prosper in all

that you do

Deuteronomy 11:1 Therefore you shall love the LORD your God, and keep his charge, and his

statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, always

Psalms 119:10 With my whole heart have I sought you: O let me not wander from your

commandments

Psalm 119:30

I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I set your rules before me

Psalm 119:60

I hasten and do not delay to keep your commandments

Psalm 119:44

I will keep your law continually, forever and ever

Psalm 112:1

Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments!

Proverbs 10:8

The wise of heart will receive commandments, but a babbling fool will come to ruin

Psalm 119:47

Page 20: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

For I find my delight in your commandments, which I love

Psalm 119:48

I will lift up my hands toward your commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on

your statutes

Similar teachings are also mentioned in Deuteronomy 28:15-20, 28:47-48, 28:58-59, 30:8-10, and in

many other verses

If you are a Christian, you will find such teachings in the parables taught by Jesus like the parable of

the Sower and the Seeds in Luke 8:4-15 , Mark 4:3-9 and Matthew 13:3-9

He also explained that the seed is the word of God. The ones along the path are those who have

heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, that they may not believe

and be saved

Jesus taught the parable of The Net in Matthew 13:47-50 and explained that the angels will come

out and separate the evil from the righteous

Similar teachings are also demonstrated in the parable of the Faithful and Unfaithful Servants in

Luke 12:32-48 and Matthew 24: 42-51

In Luke 16:19-31, Jesus taught the parable of The Rich Man and Lazarus and explained that If they

do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from

the dead.

Jesus taught the parable of The Prodigal Son in Luke 15:11-32 to highlight the importance of

obedience and repentance as the main pre-requisites for salvation

Jesus was confirming the teachings of the Old Testimony in repentance and obedience is your

salvation as taught in Isaiah 30:15

Page 21: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

That is the core Christianity teaching as taught in Matthew 7:21 Not every one that said to me,

Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which

is in heaven

In Luke 6:46, Jesus blames those who do not do what he asked them to do

Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?

In Luke 10:30-37, Jesus taught the parable of The Good Samaritan to demonstrate that God

evaluates people based on their good works, not based on the family, the tribe, the nationality or

the religion they belong to

According to that wisdom, the stranger who does good deeds is better than the wicked brother

According to that wisdom, the honest servant who protects the wealth of the young children is

better than the son or the brother who scatter the wealth of the young children

According to that wisdom, the stranger who risks his life to distribute food to the old people during

military conflicts is better than the citizen who flees

According to that wisdom, the poor stranger worker who devotes himself to serve people is better

than the citizen who wastes his time and who makes excuses to avoid doing any hard work

According to that wisdom, the stranger worker who develop the country resources is better than the

citizens who exploit the country resources to their own benefits

According to that wisdom, the stranger who wisely control the country budget is better than the

leaders who scatter the budgets on un-necessary arms races and on un-necessary public relations

advertisings

Question: Who will identify what is true and what has been added? We are not scholars, we do not

know the religion teachings, and we rely on the scholars because we assume that the scholars are

the specialists who are supposed to tell the truth

Page 22: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Answer: People investigate everything about the products they purchase, the stock markets, the

political news, the sports news, and about everything they are interested in. Since they are not

interested in religion, they just assume that the religion teachers are always right; they do not do

any analysis although they have the skills to analyse everything else other than the religion

teachings. They do not even question the teachers about the obvious contradictions

If people had followed the teachings of Pharaoh’s religion advisors, they wouldn’t have accepted

Moses. If people had followed the advice of the chief priests, they wouldn’t have accepted Jesus

Religion authorities like to tailor the religion to suit their benefits, each religion authority claims that

it is the only true authority and that other religions are false religions and other teachers are false

teachers

The New Messiah: you do not assume that the specialist sales person would always sell us the best

product; they urge us to buy the product with the highest profit margin even if it is not the best

product for us. The same good intended people who assume that the scholars teach the truth, those

same people do not trust the recommendations of the sales person, they analyse and ask others in

order to make sure that they get the good products which suits them

Teaching the simple true teachings as taught by the prophets does not leave much room of profits to

the religion teachers because people would simply obey to get saved; no mediators are required to

teach the attractive teachings

Most scholars ignore the harsh teachings like pluck out your eye which do not encourage people to

donate and teach the distorted teachings because the attractive teachings make people feel happy

and urge them to donate

When we search the internet for a certain good product; we find that the fake products are listed

more frequently than the original product. Those who sell the fake product must exert more efforts

and must pay the search sites to list their fake product whenever there is a search for a certain good

product. They exert more efforts and spend more money to pay the search sites and the result is

showing many fake products before the good product people are looking for

Page 23: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

The same is also happening by the bad scholars who exert more efforts to spread the attractive

teachings in their sites and advertise in the search sites, whenever our children want to know

something about the religion teachings, they will find many distorted teachings and they will not find

the true teachings like obey, feed the hungry, do not accept money for teaching, etc.

Question: Why Doesn’t God Answer our Prayers?

Proverbs 21:13 teaches that whoever does not answer the poor, God will not answer him

Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor will also cry out and not be answered

Psalm 91 teaches that God protects the obedient and answers his prayers

Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place

the Most High, who is my refuge

no evil shall be allowed to befall you,

no plague come near your tent.

Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him;

I will protect him, because he knows my name.

When he calls to me, I will answer him;

I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him

James 4:3 teaches us to pray the right prayers

And even when you ask, you don't get it because your motives are all wrong--you want

only what will give you pleasure.

Psalms 55:22 teaches that God does not allow the righteous to be shaken

Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the

righteous to be shaken.

2 Chronicles 7:14 teaches that God answers the prayers of the repented sinners

Page 24: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my

face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive

their sin and will heal their land.

Isaiah 24:5 warns those who disobey God’s law and break the everlasting covenant

The earth is defiled by its people; they have disobeyed the laws, violated the statutes

and broken the everlasting covenant.

Isaiah 59:2 and 48:18 teach that God does not answer the prayers of the disobedient person but he

answers the prayers of the righteous

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his

face from you, that he will not hear

Micah 3:4 also explains the reasons for not answering our prayers

Then they will cry to the Lord, but he will not answer them; he will hide his face from

them at that time, because they have made their deeds evil

James 5:16 teaches that God answers the prayers of the righteous person

The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working

In Matthew 7:7-11, Jesus urged the believers to ask God and to knock the door; he taught us to do

good deeds and wanted us to trust that God answers our prayers

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to

you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it

will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will

give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you

then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your

Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!

Isaiah 48:18 If only you had paid attention to my commands,

your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea

Page 25: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Isaiah 42:21 teaches that God could have consider them righteous if they had glorified the law

Question: Does God need our obedience?

Answer: If God wants to set up the testing environment to test people, then we are not supposed to

advise God on how to set up the terms and conditions of the testing. The students are not supposed

to advise the teacher on how to prepare the exams. God has created us and he knows how to test us

Question: We do not believe that the scriptures include some distorted verses; we understand that

all the book is inspired by God

Answer: The teaching ‘all the book is inspired by God’ is not the true teachings of the Prophets; the

Prophets waned that there will be false teachers who mislead the majority – that statement ‘all the

book is inspired by God’ was written before the bibles were written and cannot be used as an

authentication to the accuracy of everything written in the scriptures

Jesus did not teach that ‘all the book is inspired by God’, he warned that the false teachers would

mislead the majority

Question: According to Judaism teachings, we understand that the Jews are the chosen children of

God; they are the chosen regardless of any condition like good work and true faith.

Question: God has favoured the descendants of Abraham regardless of their work; that is the

promise of God as written in Deuteronomy 9:5-6 and Deuteronomy 7:6

Answer: If we complete the verses of Deuteronomy 9 and Deuteronomy 7, we will know that Moses

was urging people to obey; Moses have never taught that God rewards people while they are

disobedient

Amos 8:11-12 teach that people will be thirsty for the true word of God but they will not find it

anywhere

Page 26: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord God,

when I will send a famine on the land—

not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord.

They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east;

they shall run to and fro, to seek the word of the Lord, but they shall not find it

Jeremiah warned of the scribes who change the word of God

Jeremiah 8:8-13  How can you say, “We are wise, for we have the law of the LORD,”

when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?

The wise will be put to shame; they will be dismayed and trapped.

Since they have rejected the word of the LORD, what kind of wisdom do they have?

Jeremiah 6:13 From the least to the greatest, all are greedy for gain; prophets and priests alike,

all practice deceit

Jeremiah 5:30-31 A horrible and shocking thing has happened in the land: The prophets

prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority, and my people love it this way

Jeremiah 23:16 This is what the LORD Almighty says:

Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false

hopes.

They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD

Jeremiah 23:21 I did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message;

I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied

Ezekiel 13:6 also warns of the religion distortion

They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent

them

Page 27: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Psalms 62:4 - warns those who take delight in lies

Psalms 78:36-37 - Nevertheless they flattered Him with their mouth, and they lied to Him with

their tongue. Here the people flattered God by professing that they would serve Him but did

not really mean it in their hearts

Jude 16 - False teachers often walk according to their lusts, speaking smooth words, flattering

people to gain advantage

Isaiah 30:9-11 warns those who require interesting or attractive teachings instead of the harsh

Prophet's teachings

That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of

God: Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right

things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Get you out of the way, turn

aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us

Jeremiah 23:32 warns of the false teachers who lead people astray

Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams, declares the LORD. “They tell

them and lead my people astray with their reckless lies, yet I did not send or appoint

them. They do not benefit these people in the least,”

Jeremiah 23:36 confirms that some scribes distort the words of God

But you must not mention ‘a message from the LORD’ again, because each one’s word

becomes their own message. So you distort the words of the living God

Jeremiah 29:9 teaches that there are false teachers who claim that they receive God’s revelations

For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD

Jeremiah 14:14 also warns of the false prophets who teach attractive teachings

Page 28: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them

or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatriesa

and the delusions of their own minds

Moses warned of the expected corruption and turning from the way he has commanded them, in

Deuteronomy 31:27-29 he used strong words like

For I know how rebellious and stiff-necked you are. ‘If you have been rebellious against the

LORD while I am still alive and with you, how much more will you rebel after I die!

And

For I know that after my death you are sure to become utterly corrupt and to turn from the

way I have commanded you. In days to come, disaster will fall on you because you will do evil in

the sight of the LORD and arouse his anger by what your hands have made

The prophets taught that the believers should obey; it is not enough to hear the word or to claim

that we believe or to claim that we follow a certain prophet

Moses taught and reiterated many times that people should keep God’s commandments; examples

are verses Deuteronomy 4:40 and Deuteronomy 27:26

Cursed is anyone who does not uphold the words of this law by carrying them out

The Jews who ignore what Moses taught and who justify the killings are not true followers of Moses

In Exodus 20:13 Moses taught You shall not murder

The bad scribes who glorify defeating their enemies ignored the true teaching and added some

verses like Exodus 23:23, Joshua 6:20-21, Judges 15:14-15

The true teachings are ‘Do not have two differing measures’,

‘The same law applies both to the native-born and to the foreigner’,

‘The foreigner must be treated as your native-born’,

Page 29: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

‘You are to have the same law for the foreigner and the native-born’

Examples of the true teachings are in Deuteronomy 25:13-16, Exodus 12:49, Leviticus 19:33-37,

Leviticus 24:22, Numbers 15:15-16, Deuteronomy 24:14-15

Deuteronomy 25:13-16 Do not have two differing weights in your bag one heavy, one light. -Do

not have two differing measures in your house—one large, one small. -You must have accurate

and honest weights and measures, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is

giving you.- For the LORD your God detests anyone who does these things, anyone who deals

dishonestly.

Exodus 12:49 The same law applies both to the native-born and to the foreigner residing among

you.

Leviticus 19:33-37 When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. -The

foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself

Leviticus 24:22 You are to have the same law for the foreigner and the native-born

Numbers 15:15-16 The community is to have the same rules for you and for the foreigner

residing among you; this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. You and the

foreigner shall be the same before the LORD: The same laws and regulations will apply both to

you and to the foreigner residing among you

Deuteronomy 27:19

Cursed is anyone who withholds justice from the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow

The biased scribes ignored the true teachings and inserted some additions to restrict justice to the

‘fellow Israelite’, ‘my people among you’, or ‘Hebrew men or women’

Examples of the additions of ‘fellow Israelite’, ‘my people among you’, ‘Hebrew men or women are

in Deuteronomy 23:19-20, Exodus 22:25, Leviticus 25:35-46, Deuteronomy 15:1-2 , 15:7, 15:12

Page 30: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Deuteronomy 23:19-20 Do not charge a fellow Israelite interest, whether on money or food or

any-thing else that may earn interest. You may charge a foreigner interest, but not a fellow

Israelite

Exodus 22:25 If you lend money to one of my people among you who is needy, do not treat it like

a business deal; charge no interest

In verse Exodus 22:25, the words "my people" are added to limit the justice to the Israelites only

Other examples of the religion distortion is to add what they like and teach it as the word of God;

Jewish scribes liked to be served by widows, so they made it through the word of God as in 1 Kings

17:8-24, 2 KINGS 4:8-37, 1 Samuel 25

1 Kings 17:8-24 explain religion to the benefits of the priests. It teaches that the widow should serve

‘the man of God’ before feeding her child; if she does, she will be blessed and her child will be saved

2 KINGS 4:8-37 is also another explanation of religion to the benefits of the priests; it teaches that

the wealthy women should serve the priests; if they do, their families will be blessed and their

children will be restored to life

Chapter 1 Samuel 25 explains religion to the benefits of the priests? It teaches that wives of the

wealthy men should generously donate to the ‘holy people of God’, and the wealthy husband should

be cursed to death if he rejects to share his wealth? It also teaches that the wise wife should accept

to be a wife to the ‘holey person of God’ after her husband is cursed to death

Jesus has warned the priests who spend more time in the houses of widows. In Matthew 23:14 he

said Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you devour widows' houses, and for

a pretense you make long prayers; therefore you will receive greater condemnation

In Mark 12:40 and Luke 20:47 he said They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy

prayers. These men will be punished most severely

Page 31: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

In Luke 11:52 he said Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You

shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will

you let those enter who are trying to

Judges 19 is not the inspired word of God, but cursing other tribes in the name of God

Descendants of levities wanted the bible to be an eternal witness on the corruption of Benjamin

tribe. They wanted to curse the tribe of Benjamin so that the curse will be verses of the Holy

Scripture forever. Anyone who reads Judges 19 should recognize that the story is made up to suit the

purpose of the bad levities scribes

2 Kings 2:23-24 are additions to the benefits of the religion teachers; the message is that anyone

who makes fun of the ‘holy people of God’ will be punished to death by God

2 Kings 13:21 is an addition to glorify Elisha

Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so

they threw the man's body into Elisha's tomb. When the body touched Elisha's bones,

the man came to life and stood up on his feet

Genesis 32:24-30 is also an addition by Jacob’s descendants to glorify Jacob and claim that he

wrestled with God and was saved

The verses teach that Jacob was able to wrestle with God; he said to God "I will not let you go

unless you bless me”

Although the true teachings of Deuteronomy 10:17 teach that God does not favour ‘who shows no

partiality’

The descendants of Jacob wanted to glorify him in the name of God; they added the distorted

teaching of Genesis 25:23

Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated;

Page 32: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

one people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger.

Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated is also added in Malachi 1:2-3

They wanted to say that it is the will of God to choose them regardless of any condition like good

work and true faith. That distorted teaching is against the true teachings of Moses that God chooses

the righteous who obey and curse the wicked as the core and the most reiterated teachings of the

old testimony

Another example of the religion distortion is Genesis 9:25-27 he said,

Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers. He also said, Praise be to

the LORD, the God of Shem!

May Canaan be the slave of Shem. May God extend Japheth’s territory;

may Japheth live in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be the slave of Japheth

That is not the word of the God but added by the descendants of Japheth and Shem to curse the

tribes of Canaan in the name of God. They practiced their evil habits in the name of God

This cannot be the inspired word of God because God does not curse the son Canaan for a mistake

of the father Ham. Whenever the competing tribes try to curse each other; they add verses to show

that the curse is the inspired word of God. The true word of God teaches that the sons are not to be

punished for the mistakes of fathers as written in Deuteronomy 24:16 and Ezekiel 18:20

Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for

their parents; each will die for their own sin

The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent,

nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will

be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them

Another example of the distorted religion teachings is written in Genesis 19:30-38 to curse the tribes

of Moabites and Ammonites in the name of God

Page 33: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Question: It is not possible to add to the scripture or to subtract from it; God prohibits people to do

so

Answer: Deuteronomy 4:2 warns people to add to the scripture or to subtract from it and urge them

to keep the commands of God. We do not warn our children from what they cannot do; we do not warn them to watch out the airplanes when they fly

because they cannot fly, but we warn them to watch out the cars while

crossing the streets because they can do so

Deuteronomy 6:4-9 “Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! “You shall love

the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. “These

words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. “You shall teach them diligently

to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and

when you lie down and when you rise up. “You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they

shall be as frontals on your forehead. “You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and

on your gates

Deuteronomy 11:18-20 Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on

your hands and bind them on your foreheads. -Teach them to your children, talking about them

when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. -

Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates

Deuteronomy 30:11-14 Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or

beyond your reach. -It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven

to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” -Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to

ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” -No, the word is

very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it

Question: Why should God allow distortion to his word?

Answer: The parable of The Weeds in the Grain (or The Tares) in Matthew 13:24-30 teaches that

both the good and the bad plants should stay till the end. There will always be good grains, the

wheat or the true teachings which nourish the spirit and there will also be the weeds or the added

teachings which distort the true message of God. That is part of the testing

The obedient son should accept the good grains which are planted by the father and should reject

the bad grains which wouldn’t have been planted by the wise father

Page 34: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Question: We understand that there are some people who are predestined, called, and justified as

written in Romans 8:30

And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified,

he also glorified.

Question: We understand that God appoints some people to obtain salvation and appoints some

people to wrath as written in 1 Thessalonians 5:9

1 Thessalonians 5:9 - For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation

Question: Ephesians 2:5 teaches Even when we were dead in sins, we are saved by grace

Question: We understand that it is by grace we have been saved, through faith - and this is not from

ourselves, it is the gift of God not by works as written in Ephesians 2:8-9

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the

gift of God not by works

Question: Yes, we are justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law as

written in Romans 3:28

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law

Question: We are not justified by works of the law; for it is written in

Galatians 2:16 that by works of the law no one will be justified

Galatians 2:16 yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through

faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith

in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified

Question: As per the teachings of the new testimony, we understand that the Law is nailed to the

Cross as written in Colossians 2:14

He cancelled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross

Page 35: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Ephesians 1:4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and

blameless in his sight

Ephesians 1:11

In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who

works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will

Answer: Those attractive promises are not consistent with the main teachings taught by Moses,

Jesus, the Prophets, and the Disciples

The promises of the received salvation by faith cannot be validated because the test is not over and

the results are not yet published. Those are only promises for salvation which cannot be proved; like

the promises of 1 Corinthians 15:51 ‘you will not die but will be transformed during the rapture, the

people who received those promises two thousand years ago are now dead; the promises which

were accepted as facts before are proved to be wrong. Since some promises have been proved to be

wrong, the similar attractive promises like ‘you have been saved’, ‘you received salvation’ are not

expected to be true because similar promises have not been fulfilled

People should not believe in salvation by faith alone when the only occurrence of ‘faith alone’ in the

Bible (James 2:24) says that salvation is not by faith alone. That verse by James confirms the core

Prophet's teachings

Jesus did not teach that salvation is granted to those who merely accept him without actually doing

the good works of the law as taught in Matthew 7:21-27 and in Luke 13:25-27

Salvation is not based solely on belief and nothing else; but by the good works which prove the good

faith as taught by Jesus in Matthew 25:35-45

Jesus did not change the teachings of the Old Testimony; the same message

of ‘in repentance and obedience is your salvation’ is confirmed by the

teachings of Jesus

Page 36: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Jesus clarified the purpose of his message; he said that he came to call sinners to repentance; that is

what he taught in Luke 5:32, Matthew 9:13 and in Mark 2:17

Luke 5:32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance

Matthew 9:13 I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but

sinners

He also taught unless you repent, you will perish

Jesus taught that when we obey God and do good works; we will pass the test of this world and will

become qualified to receive God’s rewards in heaven

In Matthew 5:13-16, Jesus taught that the believers should act as the salt to protect against

corruption and as a light to guide others to the truth

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be

made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and

trampled under foot by men

In Matthew 22:35-40, Jesus confirmed the teachings of the Old Testimony like Deuteronomy 6:5 and

Leviticus 18:4-5

'You must love God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' This is the

first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as

yourself.' All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based

on these two commandments

In Luke 10:25-28 Jesus was asked “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” He said to

him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?” And he answered, “You shall love the

Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all

your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” And he said to him, “You have answered correctly; do

this, and you will live.”

The same teaching is written in Mark 12:28-34

Page 37: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

In Mark 10:17-19 Jesus did not accept the title of ‘Good Teacher’ and said

Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone;

he confirmed the law, he did not mention the atonement or the mistake of Adam or that he came to

die for the sinners. Like other Prophets, he has simply confirmed the law

Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" Jesus said to him, "Why do you call me

good? No one is good but God alone. You know the commandments: 'You shall not murder; You

shall not commit adultery; You shall not steal; You shall not bear false witness; You shall not

defraud; Honor your father and mother

The same teachings are written in Matthew 19:16-19 and in Luke 18:18-20

Luke 6:46-48 teaches that solid faith foundations are based on obedience to the teachings

Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I tell you? I will show you what someone is

like who comes to me, hears my words, and acts on them. That one is like a man building a house,

who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock; when a flood arose, the river burst against that

house but could not shake it, because it had been well built

The same teaching is also taught in John 14:15 and John 14:21

If you love me, you will keep my commandments

Jesus did not teach different commandments other than the God’s commandments; in John 5:30

Jesus taught that he is only delivering the message of God

I can do nothing on my own. I judge as God tells me

I carry out the will of the one who sent me, not my own will

In Matthew 25:31-45 Jesus described the final judgment as being based on good works; he clarified

that those who obey the law will be saved

Salvation is not based solely on belief and nothing else; salvation is not granted to those who merely

profess acceptance of Jesus without actually performing good deeds.

Page 38: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Jesus did not teach that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law; In Matthew 16:27

and John 5:29, Jesus has confirmed that God will reward each person according to his works; those

are the basic teachings of the old testimony like the verses taught in Psalm 62:12, Ecclesiastes 12:14,

and many other old testimony verses

John 15:10-11 reminds us of the rewards for obedience

If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my

Father's commandments and abide in his love. I have said these things to you so that

my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete

Matthew 12:50 teaches that the real family of the prophet are the obedient believers

For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother

James has urged us to be doers of the law, and not hearers only; in James 1:22-26 he said

But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only

fooling yourselves’, he also said ‘But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets

you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless

you for doing it

James 2:14, 17 teach that faith without works is dead

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have

works? Can faith save him?

Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead

Jesus did not teach the distorted teachings like Romans 8:30, 1 Thessalonians 5:9, Ephesians 2:8-9,

Romans 3:28, Galatians 2:16, Colossians 2:14, Ephesians 2:5, Ephesians 2:8-9, he urged people to

accept the words of God and produce fruits of good works; he described those as the good soil. He

warned those who have no roots to endure the trouble or persecution; that is what he taught in

The Parable of the Sower in Matthew 13:18-23

Page 39: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

In Matthew 15:6-9 Jesus faced those who nullify the word of God for the sake of their traditions

The same teaching that they ignore God’s law and prefer father’s traditions

is also mentioned in Mark 7:6-9

And He said to them,

He replied, Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:

‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship

me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.' You have let go of the commands of

God and are holding on to human traditions. And he continued, You have a fine way of

setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!

Those teachings are taught be all religions; the same message is taught in

the old testimony verses like Isaiah 29:13

More Questions and Answers

Question: Those attractive teachings have been taught for thousands of

years and have been accepted by billions of people; those cannot be wrong!

Answer: In Matthew 7:13-14, Jesus warned the majority

Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to

destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is

narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it

Most people ignore that teachings and say ‘As long as I am with the majority, I should be fine’, but

they are wrong according to the teachings of Jesus in Luke 13:24-27, Matthew 7:13-14

Isaiah 1:15-17 teach When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even

when you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood! Wash and make

yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong. Learn to do right; seek

justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow

Page 40: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Isaiah 30:9-13 and Isaiah 30:12-14 warn those who ignore the true scripture and are interested in

the interesting stories

For these are rebellious people, deceitful children,

children unwilling to listen to the LORD’s instruction.

They say to the seers, “See no more visions!” and to the prophets,

“Give us no more visions of what is right! Tell us pleasant things, prophesy illusions.

“Because you have rejected this message, relied on oppression and depended on deceit,

this sin will become for you like a high wall, cracked and bulging, that collapses

suddenly, in an instant. It will break in pieces like pottery

That is a prophecy that the attractive teachings which survived for long time cannot survive to the

end, but will collapse and break in pieces like pottery

Jesus also prophesied similar prophesy in Matthew 7:24-27, he warned of ‘the great crash’

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like

a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and

the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its

foundation on the rock

But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like

a foolish man who built his house on sand.

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house,

and it fell with a great crash

Question: We understand that we do not need repentance as we are saved by

grace

Answer: Repentance is a core teaching of all religions, in Luke 13:3 and 13:5, Jesus taught that

repentance is necessary for salvation; in those verses he specifically said ‘But unless you repent, you

too will all perish’

Page 41: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Matthew 3:8-10 clarifies that prophets preach of repentance

Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God. Don’t

just say to each other, ‘We’re safe, for we are descendants of Abraham.’ That means

nothing, for I tell you, God can create children of Abraham from these very stones.

Even now the ax of God’s judgment is poised, ready to sever the roots of the trees.

Yes, every tree that does not produce good fruit will be chopped down and thrown into

the fire

Matthew 3:2 and 4:17 shows that John and Jesus preached repentance

Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near

Matthew 9:13 teaches that Jesus came to call the sinner to repentance

I desire mercy, and not sacrifice, for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to

repentance

In Luke 15:7 and 15:10, Jesus taught that there is joy in heaven over repentant sinner

Luke 15: 32 clarifies that the Repentant Sinner was dead before his repentance

But it was appropriate to celebrate and be glad, for this, your brother, was dead, and is alive

again. He was lost, and is found

James 5:19-20 urge us to guide the lost person to the truth and to bring him back to God

My brothers, if one of you wanders from the truth, and someone causes him to return,

you should know that whoever turns a sinner from his wandering path will save him from

death and cover many sins

Question: We understand that all have sinned and fall short of glory of God; that is written in

Romans 3:23

Page 42: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Answer: That is not what Jesus taught; Jesus have confirmed the teachings of other prophets that

there are also righteous who obey and do good deeds; those shine like the Sun

In Matthew 5:16, he taught Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may

see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven

In Matthew 13:43 he taught Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of

their Father

Jesus did not teach that all people are born sinners; he taught that the children are pure and

innocent and urged us to become as pure as children

In Matthew 18:3 he said: Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you

will never enter the kingdom of heaven

Question: But there are also old testimony verses like Psalm 14:3 and Psalm 53:3 which teach that

there is no one who does good, not even one

Answer: We need to read the full verses of Psalm 14:1-3 and 53:1-3 to know that the verses talk

about what the fool says; most verses of the old testimony and new testimony teach that there are

also righteous who obey and who shine like the day light

Psalms 37:4-6 teaches Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your

heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your

righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun

The verses of Isaiah 58:6-11 do not teach that all people are bad; the verses explain that it is possible

for people to obey and include good descriptions of the obedient righteous like:

‘Then your light will break forth like the dawn,’

‘then your righteousness will go before you,’

‘then your light will rise in the darkness,

Page 43: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

and your night will become like the noonday’

‘You will be like a well-watered garden,

like a spring whose waters never fail’

Fair teachers should not ignore such wisdom and teach what the fool said in

Psalm 14:3 and 53:3

All the wrong doctrines like the original sin and like the total depravity

are based on such wrong teachings assuming that it is the word of God and

ignoring that it is what the fool said

People should not accept the claims that ‘all people are sinners’; people know that such teaching

must be wrong because they see the righteous who obey and do good deeds; people verify that fact

every day. Many scripture verses confirm the fact that there are righteous who obey and do good

deeds. Examples are Matthew 5:16, Matthew 13:43, Matthew 18:3, Psalms 37:6, Isaiah 58:8 and

many other verses

let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in

heaven

Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father

Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter

the kingdom of heaven

‘He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your judgment as the noonday’

‘Then your light will break out like the dawn,

And your recovery will speedily spring forth;

And your righteousness will go before you;

The glory of the LORD will be your rear guard’

Page 44: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Question: What are the reasons for the scripture distortion? are those by mistake or by intention?

Answer: Such basic religion distortions cannot just happen by mistake; it must have happened by

intention. The bad teachers want to falsify the true teachings like salvation by obedience and good

deeds into the attractive promises of free salvation by grace

Question: Why should they do that? What makes them distort the religion and replace the original

teachings by false teachings?

Answer: The original teachings do not require mediators between people and their creator. If they

obey and do good deeds they will be saved. Such teachings do not leave a room for the bad teachers

to introduce free salvation and to reap the financial gifts in exchange of the attractive teachings

Question: What makes people accept such false teachings?

Answer: The true teachings are harsh;

If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away, that is what Jesus taught in

Matthew 18:9, Matthew 5:29 and Mark 9:47

People are not willing to listen to such hard teachings, but they prefer the attractive teachings like

Ephesians 1:4

God has chosen us before the foundations of the world and

2 Thessalonians 2:13

God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation

Bad scholars do not teach the true teachings like Matthew 10:8

Freely you have received; freely give; they teach that it is o.k. to reap the financial gifts in

exchange of the spiritual gifts and teach the attractive ones like Romans 8:30

And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified,

he also glorified

Page 45: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

They try to make people feel happy by such teachings in order to receive more donations

The true shepherded teaches the harsh teachings, parents discipline their children and urge them to

study hard, teachers motivate the students to earn the success, but the bad person tells the students

that they cannot earn the success and promises to bring someone to pass the exams on their behalf

Who is right? Are the parents and teachers right? Or is it the person who tells the students that they

cannot earn their success and promises the student to bring someone to pass the exams for them?

Even those bad teachers who teach that people are sinners and cannot earn their salvation, they

urge their children to work hard and motivate them to earn their success

Which is the right teaching? Is it ‘Freely you received, freely give’ as taught by Jesus or is it reaping

the financial gifts in exchange of the spiritual gifts as written in 1 Corinthians 9:11

As Moses warned against the expected corruption and turning from the way he has commanded in

Deuteronomy 31:27- 29, Jesus also warned against those who claim to have prophesied and

performed miracles in his name in Matthew 7:21-23, and Luke 13:25-27

In Matthew 7:15-20, Jesus warned of the false teachers who mislead people; he advised us to

identify them from their bad deeds

“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are

ravenous wolves. “You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn

bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? “So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree

bears bad fruit. “A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.

“Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. “So then, you

will know them by their fruits.

The same teaching is also written in Luke 6:43-44

Many Muslim scholars teach that the Jews are cursed and that the Christians have been misguided

and that the Muslims are the truly guided people; that is not according to the true teachings of

Quran verses; it is not the correct explanation of verse 1:7 of Quran

Page 46: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

The correct explanation is asking God to guide us to the straightway; the way of those blessed

obedient not those who disobey the prophets

Many Muslim scholars want to say that God does not like the Jews and the Christians; but true and

fair explanation of verse 1:7 is that God does not like the Jews who disobey the teachings of Moses,

and does not like the Christians who disobey the teachings of Jesus and also does not like the

Muslims who disobey the teachings of Islam

Question: How can we prove that the last explanation is the true explanation?

Answer: Because the verse does not mention the Jews or the Christians, and the consistent verses of

all religions teach that God likes the obedient who does good works and does not like the

disobedient who does bad deeds

Question: According to my Islamic belief, I understand that the Islam is the only true religion

Answer: According to Islamic teachings, you have been asked to believe in what has been revealed

to other Prophets like Moses and Jesus and you are asked not to discriminate between the prophets.

The Quran verses which mention Moses and Jesus are more than the Quran verses which mention

the prophet of Islam

Question: I understand that Islam has replaced the previous religions and it has different teachings

Answer: The basic teachings of the old testimony like ‘blessings for obedience and curses for

disobedience’ and ‘In repentance and obedience is your salvation’ are confirmed by Jesus and are

also the most reiterated verses in Quran

Verse 7:96 confirms the ‘blessings for obedience and the curses for disobedience’– the same basic

teachings of all religions

Page 47: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

The same teaching is also confirmed in verses 45:30-31 the believers who obey and do good deeds

will be blessed

Verses like 35:37 explains the conditions of the disobedient who wish to go back to life to do good

deeds (although they are granted enough time to demonstrate their behaviour)

That is similar teaching to what Jesus taught about The Rich Man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31, Jesus

taught the parable of and explained that

Verse 30:41 teaches that Evil and the curses are the results of disobedience

Quran verses like 11:51, 34:47, 6:90, 12:104, 34:39, and 36:21 teach the same as taught by Jesus -

freely give, do not accept any reward for teaching

The same teaching is also taught by many Prophets in 26:145, 26:164, and 26:180

Verse 46:20 warns the arrogant people who did not obey but chose to enjoy a luxury life

That is similar to the wisdom taught by Jesus in Luke 16:25

Verses 27:83-85 confirm what Moses and Jesus taught about considering obedience as the most

important objective of life; those who ignore that fact and deny the prophets will be asked ‘what

else have you been doing?’

Page 48: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Verses 28:65-66 warns those who reject the Prophets

Question: We understand that it is up to God to guide only some groups of people; that is taught in

Quran verse 7:30

Answer: If we complete that verse, we find out that those who are not guided have chosen to follow

devils instead of God

That verse does not teach that God misleads some people, but it teaches that people are misled

when they follow the devils temptations

Such teachings are also written in the bible; an example is James 1:12

Verse 15:42 teaches that the devil does not have authority to force people to sin

Verse 16:99 teaches that obedient believers can resist devil’s temptations

17:65 teaches that the devil has no authority to mislead people (they can resist temptations)

Verse 6:119 teaches that many people are led astray by their own lusts through ignorance.

43:36-37 warns those who ignore God Guidance that they will be misled by devils

Page 49: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

7:146 teaches that God does not guide the arrogant who ignore the signs and deny God’s message

Such teachings are also written in the bible; an example is Isaiah 30:9-11

41:46 teaches that people have the choice to do either good deeds or bad deeds

30:44-45 teach that it is up to people to believe or to disbelieve; they are not predestined but they

are gifted with the free will

So it is up to them to obey or to disobey; they will be rewarded according to their choice and

according to their deeds

7:28 teaches that we should not automatically inherit the habits of the parents

37:69-70 warn those who blindly follow the father’s religion

They indeed found their fathers astray, and they are eagerly following their footsteps

The same teaching is confirmed in 43:23-25

16:35 warns those who say that it is all decided by God and we do not have decisions about faith

matters

Page 50: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

17:15 teaches that God enables people to choose their faith, they will be rewarded according to

their deeds, and there is no punishment for those who do not know about the Prophets

32:12 warns those who fail to do good deeds

34:25-26 teach that everyone will be judged for his deeds only (not for the mistakes of fathers or

others)

40:60 warns those who do not ask God for guidance

41:53 urges us to think of God’s signs

There are many verses to urge people to think of God’s signs in Psalms,

Proverbs, Isaiah and in the parables of Jesus

43:72 Teaches that people are rewarded according to their deeds (God does not create people as

holy or sinners. He does not determine their salvation, but he delegates that task to each person)

And that is Paradise which you are made to inherit for what you used to do

45:15 teaches that people determine their fate by their deeds

Whoever does a good deed - it is for himself; and whoever does evil - it is against the

self. Then to God you will be returned

45:21-22 teach that God distinguishes the righteous from the evil doers

Page 51: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

45:28-31 explains that people will be rewarded for their deeds, all deeds are recorded

46:13 teaches that the obedient believers can earn their salvation

As Moses and Jesus warned of those who explain religion to their benefits, the prophet of

Islam also warned of those who ignore the true teachings and teach different teachings

"I will say those people are from me. It will be said, 'You do not know what changes and new

things they did after you.' Then I will say, 'Far removed (from mercy), far removed (from

mercy), those who changed (the religion) after me!"

That is recorded in Bukhari 7051 Book 92, Hadith 4 and in Volume 9, Book 88, Hadith 174

In another Hadith, he described the bad Muslim scholars who justify killing as ‘worst people

under the sky’. That is recorded in Mishkat al-Masabih 1/91 Hadith 276

Many Muslim scholars refer to verses 23:52 and 21:92 as related to the nation of Islam and they

urge Muslims to be united as one nation, but the context before the verses is related to the nation

of all prophets as one nation; the verses 23:23-51 are related to prophets like Noah, Moses and

Jesus and verse 23:52 is addressed to those prophets ‘your religion, is one religion’

Also chapter 21 is related to the prophets and the title of that chapter is ‘the prophets’ as verses

21:48-91 are related to the prophets like Moses, Abraham, Lot, Isaac, Jacob, Noah, David, Solomon,

Job and also Jesus; verse 21:92 is the message to those prophets ‘your religion, is one religion’

The same message is confirmed in Quran 42:13 which is a call to establish the same one religion

which has been revealed to the prophets and not be divided. That call does not advise Muslims to

establish the religion of Islam and ignore what have been revealed to the prophets, the call teaches

that the religion to be established is what has been revealed to the prophets

Page 52: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

That is also confirmed in Verse 2:136; God knows that some Muslims claim to be the truly guided

nation and that the religion of Islam is the best religion and that the prophet of Islam is the best

prophet. God does not accept such exaggerations and prompts them about what they are supposed

to say

Say,” We believe in God and that which is revealed to us; and what was revealed to Abraham,

Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and their descendants, and that which was given to Moses, Jesus, and

other Prophets from God. We do not discriminate any of them, and to God we have surrendered

ourselves

That is also what the prophet of Islam taught in Hadith Bukhari 652 when he mentioned that the

Prophets are brothers, their religion is one religion

The true message to be explained is not to unite the Muslim as one distinguished nation, but the

verses teach that the followers of prophets have divided their one religion (verse 21:93) and to teach

that the followers of the prophets who truly believe and do good deeds will be rewarded (verse

21:94)

Such verses prove the mistakes of the Muslims who claim that they are the truly guided nation and

that Jews are cursed and Christians are misguided

Such verses prove the mistakes of the Christians who claim that they are the predestined, the

justified, the glorified, and the chosen before the foundations of the world

Such verses prove the mistakes of the Jews who claim that they are the only chosen people of God

The fair and wise God opens the doors for each person, advises all to obey the teachings of the

prophets and promises salvations and rewards to the obedient righteous

God does not order the followers of the prophets to divide into many religions or any sects

There are no reasons for Christians to be divided into Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox; all Christians

are supposed to follow Jesus

Page 53: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

If they really follow Jesus; there must be no divisions, conflicts or unnecessary wars

If they really follow Jesus, they must also obey him in confirming what have been revealed to other

prophets mentioned by Jesus like Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, and Isaiah

There are no reasons for the Muslims to be divided into Sunnis and Shia; all Muslims are supposed to

follow the teachings of Islam

If they really follow the teachings of Islam, they must also confirm what have been revealed to other

prophets

If they really follow the teachings of Islam; there must be no divisions, no sectarian conflicts or

unnecessary wars

Islam teaches that the Jews who obey the teachings of Moses are saved, The Christians who obey

the teachings of Jesus are saved, and that Muslims are also tested like others and will also be

rewarded according to their faith and good works as others.

Those teachings should prove that the distorted teachings of ‘Muslims are the truly guided people

while others are cursed or misled’ are wrong teachings

According to the true teachings of Moses, God does not consider the Jews as his own chosen people

and forsake others, the definition of the God’s chosen people is not what the Jewish scholars say,

the true definition is what God has revealed to Moses which is an open invitation to each human to

become a God’s chosen person via obedience and repentance.

The true definition of the God’s chosen people are those who obey and do good works as written in

many verses like Deuteronomy 28, Deuteronomy 30, Exodus 19, Leviticus 20, Leviticus 26 and many

other bible chapters

According to the true teachings of Jesus, people are saved by obedience, repentance and by good

deeds. Jesus has confirmed the same core religion teachings of all religions; the obedience to God’s

law and that people will be rewarded according to their good deeds. The teachings of the elected,

Page 54: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

the predestined, the glorified, the sanctified, and those chosen by God before the foundation of the

world are not taught by Jesus

According to the true teachings Islam, people are saved by obedience, repentance and by good

deeds; Islam does not replace the core religion teachings of other religions; Islamic teachings

confirm the true teachings of Moses and Jesus

There should be no problems if we follow the original prophet’s teachings and if we follow the God’s

gifts of intelligence and conscience; the causes of the problems are the distorted teachings which

have been changed and explained to suit the purposes of the scribes and the scholars

Question: Are the authorities ordained by God?

Answer: People know that power sometimes corrupts; they know that there are unjust authorities,

those who teach that the authorities are ordained by God must be bad people who try to appease

the corrupt authorities in order that the authorities might turn a blind eye to the corruption of those

bad people

Question: It is written in Romans 13:1

Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that

which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

Answer: At the time of writing those teachings, the roman authorities were persecuting the Jews

and the early Christians; such teachings cannot be the inspired word of God; People know that such

teachings are wrong because they see many examples of unjust authorities everywhere

Isaiah 1:23 warns of the unjust authorities

Isaiah 58:6-11 do not teach that the authorities are ordained by God; but

teach that there are unjust authorities who persecute the innocent people and urged us to

help the oppressed

Page 55: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and

untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?

Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with

shelter - when you see the naked, to clothe them,

and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?

Then your light will break forth like the dawn,

and your healing will quickly appear;

then your righteousness will go before you,

and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.

Then you will call, and the LORD will answer;

you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.

“If you do away with the yoke of oppression,

with the pointing finger and malicious talk,

and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry

and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,

then your light will rise in the darkness,

and your night will become like the noonday.

The LORD will guide you always;

he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land

and will strengthen your frame.

You will be like a well-watered garden,

like a spring whose waters never fail

We have been ordered to follow such wisdom; if we do, we can transform earth into a paradise

Quran verse 4:97 teaches that people should not submit to the unjust authorities which do not allow

justice or religion freedom

Page 56: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Question: Most people are busy with their worldly affairs, they are not scholars; is there a simple

message to summarize the key teachings as taught by the Prophets?

Answer: The basic prophet’s teachings are to obey God, to keep his commands, to repent, to forgive

and to do good deeds to help others

Deuteronomy 13:3-4

Moses taught that Justice should be granted to all – one measure for the citizens and the strangers

Leviticus 19:34 The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as

yourself

The same message of loving the foreigners was confirmed in Deuteronomy 10:19, and Leviticus

19:34

Deuteronomy 10:19 and you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were

foreigners in Egypt

Leviticus 19:34 the foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them

as yourself

In Deuteronomy 10:13-29, Moses has summarized what God wants from us.

These verses teach us that God is just and merciful; he likes us to be just and merciful to orphans,

strangers, and widows, to worship him as the only God and to obey his law

Deuteronomy 10:12-13 - And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you? He

requires only that you fear the LORD your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him

and serve him with all your heart and soul. And you must always obey the LORD’s commands and

decrees that I am giving you today for your own good

Page 57: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Deuteronomy 10:17-19 teach that God is great, mighty, awesome, does not show partiality; reminds

us of the justice for the orphan and the widow

For the LORD your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the

awesome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe. He ensures that orphans and widows

receive justice. He shows love to the foreigners living among you and gives them food and

clothing. So you, too, must show love to foreigners, for you yourselves were once foreigners in

the land of Egypt

Deuteronomy 27:19 Cursed is anyone who withholds justice from the foreigner, the orphan, or

the widow

Deuteronomy 24:17 Do not deprive the foreigner or the fatherless of justice, or take the cloak

of the widow as a pledge

Deuteronomy 24:14 -15 Do not take advantage of a hired worker who is poor and needy,

whether that worker is a fellow Israelite or a foreigner residing in one of your towns. Pay them

their wages each day before sunset, because they are poor and are counting on it. Otherwise

they may cry to the Lord against you, and you will be guilty of sin

Exodus 23:2 Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you give testimony in a lawsuit, do not

pervert justice by siding with the crowd

The basic teachings of Moses are also confirmed by the Prophets; they have also taught that God

revealed the laws that are just and right, but most people became arrogant and did not obey God’s

commands

In Psalms 1:1-2 David taught that there are wicked who choose the way of sinners and there are

righteous who choose to obey; he did not teach that people are born sinners

Page 58: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners

or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he

meditates day and night

Psalms 4:4 teaches that people are chosen because of their obedience

That teaching clarifies that the choice is not because of the righteousness of their fathers, but

because they have obeyed God

Psalms 5:11-12 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your

protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. For surely, O LORD, you

bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield

Psalms 5:8-12 God punishes the wicked and blesses and protects the righteous

Psalms 25:10 teaches that the mercy of God is near to those who keep his law

All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his

testimonies

Psalms 119:1-2 Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk ac-cording to the law of the

LORD. Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart

Psalms 41:1-2 Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the LORD delivers him in times of

trouble. The LORD will protect him and preserve his life; he will bless him in the land and not

surrender him to the desire of his foes

Psalms 112:1-8 confirms the conditional blessings (If you obey, you will be blessed); it is not an

unconditional election as taught by the bad scholars of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam

Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who finds great delight in his commands. His

children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.

Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. Even in

darkness light dawns for the up-right, for the gracious and compassionate and

righteous man. Good will come to him who is generous and lends freely, who conducts his

Page 59: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

affairs with justice. Surely he will never be shaken; a righteous man will be

remembered forever. He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting

in the LORD. His heart is secure, he will have no fear

Proverbs 22:9 A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor

Proverbs 19:17 He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he

has done

Similar verses are in the bible and are in Quran; God accepts the donations before the donations

reach the hand of the poor

Proverbs 28:27 He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them

receives many curses

Similar verses in Quran; whatever you spend; God will recompense you

Proverbs 19:16-17 Whoever keeps commandments keeps their life, but whoever shows

contempt for their ways will die. Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will

reward them for what they have done

Proverbs 20:10 Confirms the teachings of Moses to be fair to all and to use the same measure when

dealing with all people

Differing weights and differing measures - the LORD detests them both

Proverbs 22-23 teaches forgiveness and justice

Do not say, “I’ll pay you back for this wrong!” Wait for the LORD, and he will avenge you. The

LORD detests differing weights, and dishonest scales do not please him

Proverbs 21:3 means Justice better than sacrifice

To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice

Page 60: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter:

Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.

For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is

good or evil

Isaiah 3:5 People will oppress each other - man against man, neighbor against neighbor. The young

will rise up against the old, the nobody against the honored

He explained the reason on 3:8-9 because they did not obey God but they chose to repel and have

rewarded evil unto themselves

Isaiah 3:10-12 teach that it is good to eat the fruit of our labour and warn the unjust guides who

mislead people

Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds.

Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them! They will be paid back for what their hands have

done. My people, your guides lead you astray; they turn you from the path

Isaiah 9:14-16 teach that there are false teachers who teach lies and lead the people to err and be destroyed

Micah 3:11 warns the bad religion teachers

The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets

thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us?

none evil can come upon us

Isaiah 9:15-16 warn the religion teachers who teach lies to mislead people

the elders and dignitaries are the head, the prophets who teach lies are the tail. Those

who guide this people mislead them, and those who are guided are led astray

Page 61: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

If you are a Christian, you will find the same core teachings

Luke 12:16-21 is a parable to warn those who treasure for tomorrow while turning a blind eye to

the hungry people they see everyday

Luke 6:27-36 and Matthew 5:38-42 set the high standard for wise dealing with others; such

teachings would replace hatred by compassion and transform earth into a paradise

Matthew 7:12 reminds us of the “Golden Rule”, the common ground wisdom taught by all wise

teachers

So whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; for this is the law and

the prophets

Question: We do not have to believe in God or to follow the prophets as we have the Golden Rule as

our guide to morality

That Golden Rule is also a gift by God; it is the internal prophet to each human who is gifted by

intelligence and conscience and which provides the morality guidelines to all people even those who

never heard of any prophet

No one but God says that he has gifted people with sight, hearing, intelligence, conscience, and

many other gifts which empower people to think and to reach wise conclusions like the Golden Rule

The prophets are additional gifts; the test to those who are also gifted by the prophets would not be

as easy as the test for those who have never heard of prophets

Matthew 6:24 urges us to shift from the material life into a spiritual life

Page 62: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Matthew 25:41-46 teach that when we feed the hungry and help the poor, we actually give to God.

Those who fail to do so are warned and might be cursed

Matthew 6:19-20 is an advice to have Treasures in heaven, not on earth

In John 5:30-31 and 12:49-50 Jesus taught that he is only delivering the message of God

I can do nothing on my own. I judge as God tells me. Therefore, my judgment is just,

because I carry out the will of the one who sent me, not my own will.

If I were to testify on my own behalf, my testimony would not be valid.

I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to

say and how to say it. And I know his commands lead to eternal life; so I say whatever

the Father tells me to say

In John 17:3, Jesus taught that the father is the only true God

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom

you have sent

James 1:5 urges us to ask God for wisdom

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without

finding fault, and it will be given to you

Question: God could have shown us clear miracles in order to make it easier for us to believe

In Matthew 12:38-39, Jesus blamed those who asked him to perform miracles

Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign

from You.” But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation

craves for a sign; and yet no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet

The same teaching is also written in Mark 8:11-12, Luke 11:29-32

Page 63: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

In Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus warned of the false teachers who claim to perform miracles; he advised

that only the believers who obey will enter the kingdom of heaven

The same teaching is also written in Luke 13:25-27

Jesus said: Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he

who does the will of My Father in heaven (Matthew 7:21).

Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man

who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew

and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who

hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house

on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that

house; and it fell. And great was its fall (Matthew 7:24-27)

Thus, to enter God’s kingdom we must do the will of the Father. We must do what Jesus says. The

same teachings warn those who do not obey that they are unwise because they are building their

faith on sands

Question: Does Islam teach different teachings? Does it replace the teachings of Judaism and

Christianity?

Answer: The basic Islamic teachings are similar to the basic teachings of Judaism and Christianity; the

main guidelines are to obey and to do good deeds

The best people on earth as per the Islamic teachings are those who help others; the worst

people are the bad Muslim scholars who ignore the true teachings and who justify the killings

Quran verse 98:7 teaches:

Indeed, they who have believed and done righteous deeds - those are the best of

creatures

The best of people are those that bring most benefit to the rest of mankind Hadith

Page 64: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

The Muslim scholars who justify the killing of the hostages are mistaken; verse 8:70 proves that the

hostage are not to be killed, because Muslims are supposed to comfort the hostages and they

cannot comfort them after killing them

say to whoever is in your hands of the captives, "If God knows [any] good in your hearts, He will

give you [something] better than what was taken from you, and He will forgive you; and God is

Forgiving and Merciful’

The Muslim scholars who teach to kill the unbelievers are mistaken; verse 9:6 is enough proof that

the unbelievers are not to be killed, because Muslims are supposed to protect the unbelievers and

they cannot protect them after killing them

And if any one of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection so

that he may hear the words of God. Then deliver him to his place of safety. That is

because they are a people who do not know

Quran verse 3:92 teaches that the evidence to the true belief is to spend money to support the poor

You can never attain righteousness unless you spend on others out of what you cherish

your-selves; and whatever you spend - verily, God has full knowledge thereof

103:1-3 teach that mankind is in loss Except for those who have believed and done

righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience

71:10 urges us to repent and pray to request God’s forgiveness

saying: "Seek forgiveness of God, He is ever ready to forgive you. He will shower upon

you heavenly blessings abundant, And will help you with wealth and children, and will

provide Gardens and Rivers”

41:30-31 teaches that the believers who obey God will be supported by angels in this life and in the

hereafter

10:62-64 teach that the righteous have nothing to fear, and neither shall they grieve

Page 65: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

16:90 reminds us about justice, spending to support the poor, and warns of immorality and

oppression

Indeed, God orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids

immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be

reminded.

33:67-68 teach that those who follow the arrogant leaders will be misled

34:32 teaches that those who followed the arrogant leaders are also guilty

28:8 teaches that the soldiers who execute the commands of the wicked authorities are also sinners

6:120 teaches us to be transparent; we should not have any hidden bad thoughts

16:105 teaches that the disbelievers are liars (because they conceal the proofs of existence of God

which they see everywhere)

27:14 teaches that some people reject God’s signs and revelations although they know that the signs

and revelations are true

Page 66: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

16:22 teaches that non-believers are arrogant (those are arrogant because they conclude that there

is no God and there is no hereafter without enough knowledge – they acted like the child who has

limited knowledge but makes conclusions about the advanced science theories)

23:64-66 warn those who prefer to live a luxury life ignoring God’s message

Time and again were My messages conveyed unto you, but [every time] you would turn

about on your heels

16:53 reminds us about God’s gifts and the fact that he is the only refuge we seek in real disasters

Whatever gifts you enjoy are from God, and when touched by distress, He is the One

to Whom you cry for help

16:83 warns those who enjoy the gifts of God but are ungrateful

They recognize the gifts of God, yet they deny them; most of them are ungrateful

disbelievers

17:14 teaches that each person will validate the records of his deeds

Here is your book of deeds: read it. Today you yourself are sufficient to take your own

account

17:72 warns those who turn a blind eye to the signs of God in this world that they will be blind in the

hereafter

But those who have turn a blind eye to the signs of God in this world will be blind in the

hereafter, rather worse than blind in finding the Way to Salvation

20:124-127 warn those who turn a blind eye to the signs of God in this world that they will be blind

in the hereafter; that is the punishment for not using the gift of sight to believe that there is a great

creator

Page 67: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

21:24 teaches that most unbelievers do not know the truth

But most of them have no knowledge of the truth, and that is why they have turned away.

43:7 teaches that people used to persecute the Prophets

But there would not come to them a prophet except that they used to ridicule him

23:44 teaches that people hate the true teachings of the prophets

- and sent forth Our messengers one after another: every time a messenger came to

his people, they disbelieved him, so We punished them one by one and made them a

history; so away with a people who do not believe

21:35 teaches that we will be tested by bad and good things before we return to God

Every human being is bound to taste death; and We test you [all] through the bad and

the good [things of life] by way of trial: and unto Us you all must return

27:14 warns those who reject the signs of God although they know that they are true signs and

revelations

28:50 warns those who follow their desires without guidance from God

32:22 warns those who ignore God’s signs

33:39 teaches that God will reward those who deliver his messages and fear none save God. The

verse does not mention the rewards; but says that those are very special people to God; God knows

how to reward his very special people who dare to teach the truth that hurts and who accept any

kind of persecutions from the majority which hate the truth

Page 68: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Those Who deliver the messages of God and fear Him, and fear none but God. God

knows how to settle their account

God has gifted us with intelligence; we like those who help us to get better jobs or who help us with

some good investment opportunities, but most people hate the prophets who guide them to the

unlimited treasures of blessings and to unlimited rewards in heaven. Quran verse 40:5 explains the

fact that most people hate the true teachings, and argue to replace the true teachings by the

distorted teachings

The people of Noah denied before them and the [disbelieving] factions after them, and

every nation intended [a plot] for their messenger to seize him, and they disputed by

[using] falsehood to [attempt to] invalidate thereby the truth. So I seized them, and

how [terrible] was My penalty

Similar guidelines are taught by Jesus when he warned the disciples that people would hate them

and would persecute them for preaching the truth

Matthew 10:22 you will be hated by everyone

34:34 warns the wealthy people who are usually the first people to reject the prophets

Whenever We have sent a Warner to a town, its wealthy residents have said: "We surely

disbelieve in what you are sent with"

35:32 teach that some of those who inherit the scripture are bad and some are good. The son who

volunteers to do the good job is better than the son who has been chosen to do the job and who

ignored to do it

42:40 teaches that it is better to forgive than to return evil for evil

And the retribution for an evil act is an evil one like it, but whoever pardons and makes

reconciliation - his reward is [due] from God . Indeed, He does not like wrongdoers

42:43 urges us to be patient and to forgive

Page 69: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

51:50 teaches that God is the only refuge to flee to. The verse does not mention the sources of the

risks to flee from; the only safe haven from all disasters is God because he taught that he is a shield

for those who obey

So flee to God . Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear Warner

63:10 urges spending money to support the poor

76:27 warns those who just enjoy life and forget to think about their salvation

24:22 urges forgiveness

83:2-3 urges justice

4:8-9 urge people to take care of the orphans and the needy

Question: If God reveals the same message and if the prophets taught similar teachings, why there

are disagreements between the religion teachings?

Answer: Some scholars debate to prove that what they have inherited must be the truth and that

other religions must be wrong; those have little credibility because most of them would have taught

other teachings if they had inherited other religions

Page 70: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Question: What about you, what have you inherited? what is your religion?

Answer: The person should not automatically defend fathers’ religions, I did not accept most of

fathers teachings, I accepted the teachings of Moses which are confirmed by Jesus and by the

prophets

My religion is the common ground of the clear and consistent teachings as taught by the prophets.

That is the true one religion by the prophets; same message revealed to the prophets by the same

God must be consistent, clear and easy for all people regardless of their level of education or

experience

The common ground of religion teachings include:

If you obey and do good deeds to help others then you will be saved and blessed; if you disobey, you

will be lost and cursed; that is the clear message. That message is the most reiterated message by

Moses, confirmed by Jesus and by Islamic teachings

Question: We understand that God hardens the hearts of some people; that is mentioned in some

Quran verses like 5:13 and 5:41

Answer: Verse 5:13 is about those who break the covenant, manipulate the scripture to distort it,

forget God’s commands and who practice deceit

Verse 5:41 is about those who claim to be believers but they are not; they also distort the scripture,

God does not purifies they hearts because they distort the scripture. They could have obeyed and

done good deeds to gain the blessings and the good rewards

Question: We understand that God has predestined some people; they wouldn’t believe even if

they are warned; that is written in Quran verses 36:7-10

Answer: If we complete the verses, we find that the next verse 36:11 explains the reason; they do

not accept the scriptures and they do not fear God.

Page 71: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

God knows that some people would have some doubts and has addressed their concerns in 36:54

which teaches ‘no soul will be wronged at all, and you will not be recompensed except for what you

used to do’

Whether we follow the God’s gift of conscience and intelligence or to follow the true religion

teachings, we should like for others what we like for ourselves; we will consider the children of other

people as our own children, we wouldn’t accept that any person would be hurt because we do not

accept that for ourselves

We would not accept that any child would be abused; we would not accept that any innocent person

would be punished

That is the real obedience to God; that is the best worshipping and the accepted fasting as

highlighted in Isaiah 58:6-11

That accepted fasting is to loosen the chains of injustice and to set the oppressed free, to share our

food with the hungry and to help those who need help

Question: We understand that the good deeds are not enough for those who do not accept Islam

Answer: Verse 2:62 of Quran has addressed that point

The truth is not what the biased Muslim Scholars say; the truth is what God has revealed about

those (those will have their rewards, no fear will be there, nor will they grieve)

4:90 urges Muslims to accept the peace with non-Muslims

So if they remove themselves from you and do not fight you and offer you peace,

then God has not made for you a cause [for fighting] against them

The Muslims who justify attacking others are not true Muslims because they do not obey the Islamic

teachings like 2:190 which teaches that the only justification of war is the defensive war to stop the

aggressions. Only if attacked, it is permitted to fight back

Page 72: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

The Muslims who are not righteous and fair toward others are not true Muslims because they do not

obey the Islamic teachings like 60:8 which teaches God does not forbid you from those who do

not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous

toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, God loves those who act justly

The Muslims who oppose peace with others are not true Muslims because they do not obey the

Islamic teachings like 8:61 and 4:90 which teach

If they resort to peace, so shall you’ and ‘if they leave you alone, refrain from fighting you, and

offer you peace, then GOD gives you no excuse to fight them

The Muslims who justify killing of innocent people are not true Muslims because they do not obey

the Islamic teachings like 17:33, 25:68 and 6:151 which teach ‘You shall not kill - God has made life

sacred’

The Muslims who justify killing of disbelievers are not true Muslims because they do not obey the

Islamic teaching 2:256 which teach that

There shall be no compulsion in religion

The Muslims who justify killing of those who decide to leave the religion are not true Muslims

because they do not obey the Islamic teaching 18:29 which teaches Freedom of Religion

then whoever wills let him believe, and whoever wills let him disbelieve

People are free to choose their faith and only God can question them about their choice

The Muslims who try to spread God's Message by unwise means are not true Muslims because they

do not obey the Islamic teaching 16:125 which teach

You shall invite to the path of your Lord with wisdom and kind enlightenment, and debate with

them in the best possible manner

The Muslim scholars who teach that the prophet of Islam is better than other prophets and that he

knows the unknown are mistaken; they have been asked not to make any distinction between the

Page 73: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

prophets. They should follow Quran verse 46:9 which teaches teach that prophet of Islam was not

superior to other messengers

Say, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with

me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner." 46:9

Question: But we have verses which teach that some prophets are favoured over others?

Answer: Those verses like 2:253 and 17:55 teach that it is up to God to favour some of

them; it is not up to people. God knows that people like to favour their prophets over other

prophets and the verse 3:84 is a clear instruction to people to say ‘we do not make any distinction

between the prophets’

3:84 Say, "We have believed in God and in what was revealed to us and what was revealed to

Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants, and in what was given to Moses and

Jesus and to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and

we are Muslims [submitting] to Him

The Muslim scholars who teach that Islam is the only true religion are mistaken; they have been

asked to believe in what has been revealed to Moses, Jesus and other Prophets as taught in 3:84

The Muslim scholars who teach that the good deeds of the Jews and Christians are not accepted are

mistaken. Verses 3:113-115 teach that there are Jews and Christians who follow Moses and Jesus;

those will be rewarded for their obedience and for their good deeds

The Muslim scholars who teach that God predestines some for punishment and some for good

rewards are mistaken; verse 4:147 teach that there is no punishment for those who choose to obey

and to thank God

Quran verse 7:42 teaches that those who believe and do righteous deeds will be rewarded an

eternal life in paradise

Page 74: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

But those who believed and did righteous deeds - We charge no soul except [within] its

capacity. Those are the companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally

Question: Is that promise to Muslims only?

Answer: No, the context of chapter 7 verses is a message to all people. Verse 7:35 before that verse

comforts those who accepted and obeyed the prophets; no fears; no grieves. The verse is to all

people, not to Muslims only

O children of Adam, if there come to you messengers from among you relating to you

My verses, then whoever fears Allah and reforms - there will be no fear concerning

them, nor will they grieve

Question: Most people follow the faith of their parents, why should they be judged for that?

Answer: Most of those do not follow their parents in the choices of marriage, jobs, investments,

immigrations, or any important mission. Faith is not an important issue for them; Verse 7:173

clarifies that it is not a valid excuse to say that we happened to follow the wrong faith of our parents

God has enabled every person to choose and will judge us according to our choices

Verse 7:173 clarifies that God does not accept the excuses of those who automatically follow the

religions of their fathers

Or [lest] you say, "It was only that our fathers associated [others in worship] with God

before, and we were but descendants after them. Then would You destroy us for what

the falsifiers have done?"

Question: But there are verses which teach that it is up to God to guide people and he created some

people for hell as verses 7:178,179 also verse 7:186 teaches that God let some people go astray

Answer: The verses are related to those who denied the scripture and were used to wrong

themselves as mentioned in the previous verse of 7:177

Page 75: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Those are threatened by hell because they do not make use of the gifts of minds, sight and hearing

Verse 7:186 is related to those who reject the scripture and the true guidance as mentioned in

7:182. Since there is no other guidance than obedience; they will be wandering blindly

It is not predestination; they could have obeyed and become righteous to enjoy the blessings and

protection of God as mentioned in 7:196

Indeed, my protector is God, who has sent down the Book; and He is an ally to the

righteous

He takes care of those righteous; he does not forsake them

Question: There are verses like 13:27 which teach that God guides some people and misguides

others

Answer: The verse teach that God guides to Himself whoever turns back to God

Question: But there are verses which teach that God has created people as wretched and the

prosperous

Answer: No, that verse of 11:105 teaches that among people there are the wretched and the

prosperous; that is not predestined by God; the other verses teach that it is according to the fair

rewards of what they have done as God recompenses every soul for what it earns; that is what is

taught by verses like 14:51. Verses 15:92-93 also confirm that God will question all people about

what they used to do

That is what the verses teach; people will not be told that they are predestined; they will be

questioned about what they have done and will be rewarded accordingly

When the rewards are mentioned, we do not find expressions like ‘that is what God has predestined

for you’, but we find expressions like those used in 16:31 and 16:32

‘That is how God rewards the righteous

Peace be upon you. Enter Paradise for what you used to do

Page 76: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Question: There are verses like 16:93 which teach that God guides some people and let some people

to go astray

Answer: Let us complete the verses; that will enable us to know the answer; they are rewarded or

punished for what they used to do

And if God had willed, He could have made you [of] one religion, but He causes to stray

whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And you will surely be questioned about what

you used to do

Verse 16:97 after that verse (16:93) clarifies that point

Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will

surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the

Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do

Those teachings and many other verses in Quran are not restricted to Muslims; they are to confirm

that any righteous believer will be rewarded for their righteousness

Question: Quran verse 16:104 states that God does not guide some people

Answer: the verse is for those who do not believe and who do not accept the message of God

Indeed, those who do not believe in the verses of God - God will not guide them, and

for them is a painful punishment

They cannot be guided without the guidelines which they have rejected

17:15 clarifies that it is up to people to accept the guidance or to reject it

Whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] his soul. And whoever errs only

errs against it. And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And never

would We punish until We sent a messenger

19:76 teaches that those who accept God’s message and are guided to the truth, will be provided

with more guidance

Page 77: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

And God increases those who were guided, in guidance, and the enduring good deeds are

better to your Lord for reward and better for recourse

That is what the wise teacher does when he offers more resources to the most obedient and most

hard working students who complete their studies and who are willing to learn more

33:43 teaches that God wants to bring people from the darkness into the light

It is He who confers blessing upon you, and His angels that He may bring you out from

darknesses into the light. And ever is He, to the believers, Merciful

God does not mislead people; God and His angels confer blessing upon people

in order to bring people out from darkness into the light

Question: It is all up to God; he does not guide some people and sets a seals upon their hearing and

hearts as written in Quran 45:23

Answer: That verse refers to those who do not obey God but who follow their desires as their God

The basic and consistent teachings teach that is it is up to people to choose either to obey or to

disobey as mentioned in Quran verses 7:96, 17:15, 30:44-45, 34:25-26, 41:46, 43:72, 45:15, 45:20-31

and 46:13

Question: Are we supposed to hate our life?

Answer: Some Muslim scholars blame Jesus for teachings that people should not love this life and

ignore the eternal life in heaven

Those who love their life in this world will lose it - John 12:25 and Matthew 10:39

Those Muslim scholars are mistaken because they have similar teachings in Quran verses like 16:107

That is because they preferred the worldly life over the Hereafter and that God does

not guide the disbelieving people

Question: We should not worry much about the religions; we should live our life and we have our

own priorities

Page 78: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Answer: Good student should not waste the exam time; he is not supposed to look out of the

window to enjoy himself by the flowers in the garden and ignores his exam. If a person finds himself

in a train, he is not supposed to enjoy the trip; he should ask why I am here? Where is the

destination? What am I supposed to do?

Question: Life is short; People should rejoice and enjoy themselves

Answer: How can we ask a person to rejoice and to enjoy himself while his children are abused,

while his brothers and sisters are hungry and while his friends are oppressed? Every abused child is

our own child, every hungry person is our brother or our sister, every oppressed person is our friend.

The right way to be happy and content is by feeding the hungry, by defending the oppressed and by

helping others

Question: We have been asked to believe but we have not seen God, we have not seen the heaven

or the hell. We have doubts

Answer: God has gifted people with sight, intelligence, and many other gifts. Those who can see the

miracles in everything around them and in their own creation and who deny the existence of God,

those must be arrogant

The wife and husband who enjoy happy family life and do not thank God for the marriage happiness

and for the gifts of healthy children must be arrogant for denying God’s gifts

They have not created the happiness; they have not created the children; the beautiful wife does not

create her beauty, she could have been created ugly; the healthy husband does not create his

health; he could have been created sick or blind

When the father brings many gifts to his children, he likes the child who thanks and does not like the

child who is too busy with the gifts and who never thanks the father for those gifts

Question: Which is the true religion? Is it Judaism? Is it the Christianity? Is it Islam?

Page 79: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Answer: Obedience to God's law and doing good deeds are prescribed as the true religion teachings

by the Prophets. Whoever follows those teachings is following the true religion

Question: If the basic teachings of all religions are similar, why are there differences?

Answer: If the religion scholars teach the simple truth, then people would not need all the scholars

who teach the attractive teachings because people will have direct relations with God

If the Jewish scholars teach that Jews are stubborn and hard-necked and do not obey the teachings

of Moses, they will not have enough audience and will not get much donations. But they teach the

attractive teachings like you are the only chosen people of God

If the Christian scholars teach the harsh teachings of Jesus; then people will not attend the sermons

and the scholars will not receive donations

The same mistake is also committed by the Muslim scholars who ignore the core teachings and

teach what etches the ears of many Muslims

Most of those scholars are preaching for money; they hate to tell the truth because if they teach the

true teachings like ‘freely you received, freely give’, it means that they should not accept money and

that they should find other jobs to earn their living

All the religions prohibit accepting money or rewards for preaching; but the scholars accept money,

not only once or twice, but they accept money in everyday of their life

It is hard for them to listen to anyone who reminds them of that truth because they like to claim that

they are devoting themselves to religion, while they devote religion to their own benefits

There are no disagreements between the teachings of Moses, Jesus about salvation via obedience,

repentance; those are also the basic teachings of Islam

Page 80: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

There are no disagreements between religion teachings for not accepting money; the clear message

of Jesus is ‘freely you have received, freely give’, do not accept money or a dress or anything

Question: How can we distinguish between the true teachings and the distorted ones? That is not an

easy job!

Answer: If there is a difficult issue which cannot be easily resolved; that does not mean to leave it

unresolved forever

Professional business managers do not allow people to create issues based on some wrong

assumptions; they analyse the issues to clarify the wrong assumptions, then they do not waste their

time discussing the wrong assumptions and the related issues anymore

Professional people do not allow someone to appoint himself to guide them on how to manage their

business or how to educate their children, but many people accept the scholars who claim that they

receive God’s revelations and who teach religion based on the false claims

It is a wrong assumption to assume that religions are different; we should analyse the contradicting

teachings in order to clarify the added verses

There are no valid reasons for any conflicts between religions or civilizations

Question: Who has the right to settle the religion disputes?

Answer: Every person should be responsible; God has gifted people with intelligence to enable them

to resolve their issues; he will question us for that gift. We use our intelligence to analyse the stock

markets, the political issues, the sport news and everything we are interested in

Question: But it is not likely that people will accept and agree upon the clarifications and resolutions

Page 81: The New Messiah - Book Summary by Sabry Shaheen

Answer: The bad people do not like the truth which expose their wickedness; that is not a reason to

abandon the struggle for the truth. What is the value of living a life without the knowledge of the

truth?

People search for the truth, the average intelligent person can recognize the truth if he tries to do

fair analysis like analysing the alternative investments and the political issues

Some of those who recognize the truth will know it as they know their own children; they will not

accept any more distortions

Some will not accept the truth and might conclude that it is hard to change; it is their own choice

and they are responsible for such conclusions

We should not trust the son who likes to boast and who tells us that the father has favoured him; we

should refer to the father’s guidelines

The fair son wouldn't boast and wouldn’t claim that the father has favoured him, if told that he has

been favoured over others, he would ask why does not the father favour my brothers too? Why

would not the father favour the most obedient among us as he told us?

Many scholars teach that God cannot forgive, but they teach that they can forgive. Both teachings

are wrong; both teachings are added

Many scholars teach that they are the unconditionally chosen people; they ignore all the core

teachings about the conditional blessings to the obedient righteous

The distorted teachings cannot survive forever; the foundations of those teachings are based on

sands; those foundations will collapse as prophesised by Isaiah 30:13 and by Jesus in Matthew 7:27

and in Quran 9:109
