INFORMATION FOR EXHIBITORS Choose the section and class you would like to enter, complete the entry form enclosed - additional forms are available from the Show Office. Tear
out and put in an envelope with the entry fee. Write ‘Creative Hobbies’
on the front of the envelope and either post it or hand it to The Show Office, 220 Park Lane, Poynton, Cheshire SK13 1RQ.
Alternatively your envelope can be handed in at the Show Caravan,
parked on the Co-op car park, two weeks before Show Day.
Entries close at 5.00pm on Thursday before Show Day. Exhibits can to be brought to the Creative Hobbies Marquee on the Show
Ground between 5.00 – 8.00 pm on Friday evening or between 7.00 and
8.00am on Show Day. Displaying Exhibits
On arrival at the marquee, go to the information desk and collect an
envelope containing prepared labels for your exhibits. Check that the details are correct and if 16 or under, your age is clearly marked. Fold the label to
conceal your name and firmly attach to your exhibit using the materials
provided. You can then display your exhibit in the designated area.
Art and Photography must be suitably mounted for display on the peg board screens. Mounts can be card or frames, maximum size
60cmx50cm (24”x20”).Hooks or pins are provided. Please do not bring
staple guns because staples can cause injury during removal. Handicrafts, Cookery and Wine are displayed on the tables.
If necessary, help will be available. Sometimes committee members have
to move exhibits to maximise space. All exhibits are the responsibility of the exhibitor. The committee will take every reasonable precaution to
safeguard exhibits but they cannot be held responsible for any loss or
damage.
Judging Judging takes approximately 2 hours, between 8.30 – 10.30am. No
exhibitor or member of the public is allowed in the marquee during this
time. The judges’ decision is final. If the judge does not consider the standard high enough within a class, an award will not be given.
The Section Leader must be notified of any complaint or objection before
2.00pm on Show Day. The Committee will adjudicate and their decision is
final. Complaints received after 2.00pm will not be valid unless it is alleged fraud.
Presentations
Rosettes can be collected from the information desk in the Creative Hobbies Marquee after judging. Trophy presentation will begin at 2.30pm.
Collection of Exhibits
Please collect between 4.30 – 6.00pm on Show Day. Remaining exhibits after 6.00pm may be given to a local charity.
To be fair to others please do not submit award winning entries from
previous years. Thank you.

Health & Safety
All exhibitors should comply with the requirements set out in the Health & Safety Policy, organisation and arrangements of the Poynton Horticultural & Agricultural Society. Copies of this policy may be obtained from the Society Secretary and will be displayed in The Show Office prior to and during The Show. Specifically, all exhibitors, trade stand occupiers, entertainment and catering providers are required to maintain their exhibits/areas in such a manner so as to comply with current Health & Safety regulations and guidance and to ensure that their activities do not endanger themselves, other exhibitors or members of the general public. Further specific advice and guidance is available via The Show’s Honorary Health & Safety Officer, who may be contacted via The Show Office on 01625 872065.
