DESCRIPTION
The Nature of Clothing explores the interaction between fashionable clothing, and the environment of nature around us. I believe that a lot of fashion is inspired by the world around us, be it in color, texture, or patterns we find. I want to take this idea of inspiration through nature and apply it to an abstract representation of how clothing makes people feel. The young women portrayed in these advertisements are not literal representations; instead, by using hand-drawn illustrations of models who never look at the viewer, the focus is turned to the implied emotion or texture a garment might have, or even the inspiration behind the clothing that would be otherwise unseen.TRANSCRIPT
