Services offered by the RDS including:

Patient and Public Involvement in Research Design

The Research Design Service

Funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR)

Provides a free consultancy service to support clinicians, academics and service users develop strong proposals to attract funding for applied health and social care research. 

RDS remit

We offer free advice on developing research proposals

for NIHR funding programmes, or other national peer reviewed competitions

We do not support proposals where there is no

intention of submitting an application for peer review to a recognised funding stream

Regional support NIHR two-day workshops for novice bidders (£50)

Provides an outline of the particular characteristics and remits of NIHR bids and an overview of what is involved in applying
