There is a male narrator as 'the voice of god' as he is not on screen through the documentary.

The documentary is non linear as it did not follow a specific chronological order.

There were no unanswered questions during the documentary which gives it a closed narrative structure.

It is single stranded as there is only one narrative thread as it

evolves around music/ meatloaf.

Sound Effects/ other music tracks such as YMCA, Village People, Mr Blobby and Jingle Bells which are all relevant to the year.

The narrator is male and spoke in standard English, there is no slang or colloquialism. He also has a calm tone of voice which shows sophistication and a more informal tone.

The use of cuts/cutaways are used to move the documentary along quickly.

There is a dissolve of the interviewee into the shot.

The cutaways are used to crop the interviewers question out of

the footage and to cover the jump cuts.

attract and keep the audiences attention, so it is kept visually

interesting.
