• In what way does your media product use , develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? (i.e. of real music magazines)

The Masthead is at the top left hand corner of the page and takes up about ¼ of the page because it promotes the magazine and it influences sales from the public.

The genre Of R&B because the common theme for R&B rappers is to be represented as quite serious and urban. • black and white

suggests seriousness

• the model is looking away from the camera to suggest distance and remoteness

• The baseball cap and earphones are emblematic of urban youth

Fonts are used to create a graffity-style look. • Drake is the

featured article in the magazine, so his image and name dominate the front cover.

• Other artists are listed. These are big names in the industry. The purpose of doing this is to use their success to create more sales for the magazine – almost like an endorsement

Barcode is a common feature used on the front cover on all magazine which contains the date and price of the magazine.

In my Contents page I used words like Exclusive and used # as it is a common feature which teenagers use , this makes it more influential to my target audience.

The main colours for my Contents are black and red , I used them in a order black then red. Again I used black and white colour scheme to relate it with the front cover and also the genre of the magazine

I have also used a subheading on my contents page which is linked to my double-paged-spread. The subheading are useful because they give a brief explanation on what the page will be about.

Picture for my contents page is of an artist who is part of the YMCMB group, I used the layout of another rnb front cover

The pictures I used in this double-page-spread are both in the same place but at different angles, I used this because it is common feature in which many magazines use.

I also used a Dropped Capital in my double page spread as it is a common feature used in many Double Page spreads.

The people in the picture are also artists which are on the front cover

The use of page numbers and even numbers are always on the left , I have also made sure the name of my Magazine is on every page. This has been used in magazines like KERRANG and nme.

Background image is also the artists in the magazine

I ensured that the Dps will be in the style of newspaper article and will have columns.
