It is with great pleasure that we are now able to send you the information for the 9th Mallorca football tournament.

The Mallorca tournament is being organised by the experienced Mallorca Football Events organization with the full support of the Calvia Council & the Mallorca Tourist Board. It is a great honour to invite your football team to participate in the 2020 Mallorca tournament.

The Mallorca tournament will take place from Thursday 7th of May up to and including Monday the 11th of May 2020 in the popular and friendly resort of Santa Ponsa.

It is possible to book extra days before and after the tournament so please just advise us as soon as you have your travel dates if you wish to extend your stay.

Playing football in Mallorca can be a lot of fun, this cosmopolitan island has so much to o�er and this is your opportunity to combine a holiday with a fun and competitive 5 a side football event. With a fantastic selection of hotels & apartments, nearby sporting facilities you and your team will spend 4 nights/5 days having the time of your lives.

Families, friends & colleagues are more than welcome to come and spectate and cheer on their team or just come for a holiday! Anyone wishing to bring along their immediate family, partners or friends can bene�t from the same rates as the rest of the team, this also includes the airport transfers and any special discounts for the excursions that are planned.Please just let us know who you would like to bring and we will sort out the rest for you.

You want to come without a football team? No problem at all!!!

Tournament

You will play all of your matches in a carefully programmed timed period. Every team will have one or two days o� enabling them to enjoy some free time to explore this fantastic island, there are some specially selected excursions available on request. The tournament will take place on 5 outdoor pitches at the Santa Ponsa Sports complex located in Santa Ponsa. Teams will play �ve against �ve.

There will be:

• Men’s tournament. • Women’s tournament. • Men’s 35+ tournament. • Men’s 45+ tournament.

• The pitches are arti�cial grass. (new surface in August 2016)• So we request that only futsal boots or special astro turf football boots are used at all times.• Ball Nº 4 will be used during the matches. • The goals have the format of futsal/handball goals. • Shin guards are obligatory to avoid any serious injuries. • The Tournament will be played over a three-day period. Your team will have to play the groups phase on Friday or Saturday. On Sunday are the knock out rounds & �nals.

Tournament entry fee

€ 175 per team

Police O�cers, Fire �ghters, Custom O�cers, Military personnel, Tax O�cers, personnel of the Ministry of Interior, state, provincial or municipal employees, sta� from the various ministries, and special invitations by the organization.

For the tournaments there is a variety of accommodation to suit every budget. The chosen hotels & apartments have been carefully selected. The hotels are 3*** or 4 **** with modern facilities, comfortab-le rooms, air conditioning, an extensive choice of bu�et meals to suit everyone’s tastes, day and evening entertainment, and very friendly sta�. The hotels in Santa Ponca are near to the sports complex and 150 metres from the beach. Some o�er football �elds beside the hotel where you can train for free.

There is a special selection of apartments (self-catering, star rating 2/3 keys) and they are all situated close to the sports complex and the clean and safe beaches of Santa Ponsa.

The prices for the tournament period for 4 nights/ 5 days;

From € 174 for a 3-star hotel.From € 225for a 4-star hotel.From € 246 for a 4-star superior hotelThese prices are per person and based on 2 people sharing a room.

From € 106 for an apartment.This price is per person and based on 5 people sharing an apartment.

Extra day’s accommodation can also be booked before or after the event. Please ask for details.

In order for your team to participate, the whole of the package must be booked including the hotel accommodation and the airport transfers.

Please �ll in on the application form your 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice. We will try to allocate your team to the hotel or apartment of your choice. If the hotel/apartment of your choice is not available then Viajes Adramar will advise you of the hotel/apartment that is available. We recommend that you make your reservation as quickly as possible to ensure that you are not disappointed. Places are limited.

Tourist tax is not included and can be found in the price appendix on our website. Participants will have to pay this tax on arrival in the hotel or apartment.

Transport

Reservations

The return Airport transfer to and from your accommodation is included in the price. This includes any teams or families booking extra days.

The costs for the �ights may be cheaper if you book some days prior to or after the selected tournament dates.

If your team wishes to take part in the Mallorca Tournament, your application form + all payments must be in by the 31th of March 2020. Those who enter �rst will receive priority. You may e-mail your entry to [email protected] Places are limited, so please ensure a prompt payment to guarantee your place!

Visa

If you need a visa to enter Spain, make sure that the organisation of the Mallorca tournament has a list with all your delegation members by the 1st of March 2020. The list should contain all the delegation members, family names, surnames, date of birth, passport numbers, date of issue and expiry date of the passports!! The visa procedures at the Spanish embassies are very strict!! Be on time with your visa application!We will not be held responsible for any team application if they are not processed in time due to late entry.

Important: The organization can’t be held responsible for damage or injuries caused during, or resulting from the participation in this tournament. Participants take part at their own risk. We advise that all teams should ensure that they have a good Travel Insurance that includes medical cover for their stay in Mallorca.
