The Love Walk

The Love Walk

Mark 6:34-44 (NKJV) And Jesus, when He came out, saw a

great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things. 35When the day was now far spent, His disciples came to Him and said, "This is a deserted place, and already the hour is late. 36Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat."

The Love Walk

He saw a great multitude. Saw – Horaho =To see, perceive

and attend to. To Discern. Hebrews 5:14 (NKJV) …those who by reason of use have

their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

The Love Walk

3 John 1:11 (Amp) Beloved, do not imitate evil, but imitate

good. He who does good is of God; he who does evil has not seen (discerned or experienced) God [has enjoyed no vision of Him and does not know Him at all].

Imitate Christ.

The Love Walk

To discriminate and distinguish between what is morally good and noble and what is evil and contrary either to divine or human law.

A great multitude. John 3:16 (NKJV) For God so loved the world that He

gave His only begotten Son.

The Love Walk

Was moved with compassion for them.

Compassion – Splagchnizomai = to be moved in the inward parts. That which motivates and drive us.

Jesus is motivated by Love. God is Love Jesus is God in the flesh.

Because they were like sheep not having a shepherd.

John 14:18 (Amp) I will not leave you as orphans

[comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you.

The Love Walk

John 10:11 (Amp) I am the Good Shepherd. The Good

Shepherd risks and lays down His [own] life for the sheep.

John 10:14 (Amp) I am the Good Shepherd; and I know

and recognize My own, and My own know and recognize Me—

The Love Walk

The duty of shepherds was to keep their flock intact and protect it from wolves and other predators.

The shepherd was also to supervise the migration of the flock and ensured they made it.

From level to level.

The Love Walk

The sheep must be able to move from pasture to pasture.

Psalm 23:1-6 (Amp) THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed,

guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.

2He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.

From revelation to revelation.

The Love Walk

Psalm 23:1-6 (Amp) 3He refreshes and restores my life

(my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name's sake.

4Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.

The Love Walk

Psalm 23:1-6 (Amp) 5You prepare a table before me in

the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.

6Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.

The Love Walk

Many Biblical heroes were shepherds, among them the Old Testament prophet Amos who was a shepherd, as well as King David, and Moses.

Mark 6:34 (NKJV) So He began to teach them many

things.

The Love Walk

Hosea 4:6 (NKJV) My people are destroyed for lack of

knowledge.

Proverbs 29:18 (Amp) Where there is no vision [no

redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man]—blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he.

The Love Walk

“Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat.“

The Shepherd cares for the sheep.

We are called to be caretakers of the Kingdom.

The Love Walk

Mark 6:34-44 (NKJV) 37But He answered and said to them,

"You give them something to eat." And they said to Him, "Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?" 38But He said to them, "How many loaves do you have? Go and see." And when they found out they said, "Five, and two fish."

The Love Walk

"You give them something to eat.“ You become shepherds.

Meet their needs. Deliverance, healings, miracles and

breakthroughs. Use what you have.

Use your gifts, talents and resources. Go and see!

Saw – Horaho =To see, perceive and attend to.

The Love Walk

Luke 9:11-24 (Amp) But when the crowds learned of it,

[they] followed Him; and He welcomed them and talked to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed restoration to health.

The Love Walk

Mark 6:34-44 (NKJV) 39Then He commanded them to make

them all sit down in groups on the green grass. 40So they sat down in ranks, in hundreds and in fifties. 41And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all.

The Love Walk

Discover the best ways to minister to their needs.

Organizes them into groups. Make them sit down. Groups = Sumposion

Treat them like guest at a party. He looked up to heaven.

Look to God as source.

The Love Walk

Mark 6:34-44 (NKJV) 42So they all ate and were filled. 43And

they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish. 44Now those who had eaten the loaves were about five thousand men.

Sheep are to eat and be filled.

The Love Walk

Ephes. 5:18 (Amp)

…but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit.

The Love Walk

Col. 1:9 (Amp) For this reason we also, from the day

we heard of it, have not ceased to pray and make [special] request for you, [asking] that you may be filled with the full (deep and clear) knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom [in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God] and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things—

The Love Walk

Col. 1:10 (Amp) That you may walk (live and conduct

yourselves) in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him and desiring to please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of God [with fuller, deeper, and clearer insight, acquaintance, and recognition].

The Love Walk

Mark 12:29-31 (NASB) Jesus answered, "The foremost is,

'Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord; 30and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.' 31"The second is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these

The Love Walk

We must be in the pursuit of an unfeigned love that transcend our accustomed lifestyle.

The Love Walk

Galatians 5:5-6 (Amp) For we, [not relying on the Law

but] through the [Holy] Spirit's [help], by faith anticipate and wait for the blessing and good for which our righteousness and right standing with God [our conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action, causes us] to hope.

The Love Walk

6For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love.
