The Celebration of Worship and Communion
May 27, 2018, 10:30 AM
The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Prayer of Confession Rev. Walker O holy and merciful God, we confess that we have not always taken upon ourselves the yoke of obedience, nor been willing to seek and to do your perfect will. We have not loved you with all our heart and mind and soul and strength, neither have we loved our neighbors as ourselves. You have called to us in the need of our sisters and brothers, and we have passed unheeding on our way.
In the pride of our hearts, and our unwillingness to repent, we have turned away from the cross of Christ, and have grieved your Holy Spirit.
All offer prayers of confession in silence.

Memorial Day
Tomorrow the Chapel office will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.
There will be a Memorial Day Service in the sanctuary at 11:00 AM.
Today, we want to congratulate and recognize our gradu-ating high school seniors as they transition into their next phase of life. Each of our graduating students is unbelievable and uniquely gifted in various areas including technology, athletics, drama, literature, and animal philanthropy. We are privileged to honor five graduating seniors this year. They are Connor Moranos, Piedmont College; Megan Peschock, University of North Georgia; Chris Peterson, Auburn University; Bailee Southerland, University of North Georgia; and Carley Turner, University of North Georgia.
Each graduating senior is receiving a copy of the book, The Principle of the Path, by Andy Stanley. In this book, Stanley discuss the power of each decision in determining our path in all aspects of life including spirituality, relationally, fi-nancially, etc. He explains, “What we experience as unrelated isolated events are really steps in a specific direction. And like every physical path you’ve ever ventured down, this path has a specific destination” (page 13).
Our students will face a multitude of decisions that will define the paths they will take in life. While this is an exciting time, it is also a difficult one. I hope that we as a congregation will come together in prayer for these students during this tran-sition time and that our students will walk each of their unique paths wisely and according to God’s plan for their life.
Congratulations Class of 2018!
Sincerely, Lindsey Wesseling Youth Leadership Team
