TITLE: THE LORD IS GOODNAHUM 1:1-7
Nahum is a book of judgment; a sequel to the book of Jonah.
Nahum’s message is a heavy burden; a message of doom and gloom.
(Most prophecies were not of good fortune but of judgment out of disobedience to God.)

still good. -Even in the midst of judgment God is still
good. (ref. Rom. 8:28)1. He gives you a lesson

-We have a place where we can flee in a time of trouble.
-God is jealous (ref. vs.2); human jealousy is sin.-God views us as a precious possession.
-He places Himself between places, people, and events that may cause us harm.

Point 3 We have an heavenly acquaintance:
-He knows those who trust in Him. (ref. vs. 7)-He knows His sheep; He knows us intimately.
-His sheep knows His voice and a stranger they will not follow.Question:
1. Who are you following?2. Do you know His voice?
-We are known as His friends (ref. Jhn. 15:13-15)-We are brethren and joint heirs (ref. Heb. 2:11-12); we are of
the same womb. -By His grace we are brought into the royal family and are a
part of Him. (Never take your relationship with God for granted!)
