The Learnings Styles of Students ESOL 162

Human being learn in different ways or styles. It’s depend on the short-term,

and long-term memory. Students of ESOL 162 catch on the information by

sensitive organs. Learning may be formal as found academic studies. It may also

on the job though acquired experience, or special training. It can be also in the

continuing of an interest or hobby. Regardless of what, where, when students

choose to reach the knowledge, they have to use a style of learning. The approach

of learning is unique to each one based on individual styles of learning for that the

students of ESOL 162 can classified in three groups of learners: visual, auditory

and kinesthetic.

First group is visual learners. These students or learners use what they see,

or view to memorize or summarize the acquired knowledge. Some of them use

pictures and make a lot of beautiful new collections to associate with new ideas,

theories and training. Other learners use shapes and color to classify their thinking.

They use visual objects such as graphs, charts, pictures, and seeing information.

They can read body language well and has a good perception of esthetic. They

are.able to memorize and recall various information. They tend to remember things

that are written down. They learn better in lectures by watching them. They also

group use spacial understanding to remember what they learn very fast. For the

visual learners, they use color, pictures, images and shape.. When they talk, learn

and teach.

The second group is the auditory learners. These kinds of learners use

sound to remember what learn with facility. For example, when they talk about

cellphone, and they hear the ring to remember the cellphone. Auditory learners

may have a knack for ascertaining the true meaning of someone's words by

listening to audible signals like changes in tone. When memorizing a phone

number, an auditory learner will say it out loud and then remember how it sounded

to recall it. Some of them use music to learn, or put their lessons in music. Others

use voice to repeat for catching information in their long-term memories. An

auditory learner retains information through hearing and speaking. He often prefers

to be told how to do things and then summarizes the main points out loud to help

with memorization. They notice different aspects of speaking. They auditory learner

often has talents in music and may concentrate better with soft music playing in the

background.

The kinesthetic is third group. According to the theory of learning styles,

students who have a predominantly kinesthetic style are thought to be discovery

learners: they have realization through doing, rather than thinking before initiating

action. They may struggle to learn by reading or listening. They use their body, and

the dance, shake and move. Most of them use their hands and order sense of touch.

These students draw almost the most important things they learn in class or in life. A

kinesthetic learner likes to use the hands-on approach to learn new material. They are

generally good in math and science. He would rather demonstrate how to do something

rather than verbally explain it. They usually prefers group work more than others. They

possess good eye–hand coordination. In kinesthetic learning, learning occurs by

the learner using their body to express a thought, an idea or a concept in any field.

Finally, everyone in the ESOL 162 processes new knowledge and learns new

information in different ways. There are three main cognitive learning styles: visual

learners, auditory learners, and kinesthetic learners. The common characteristics of each

learning style listed below can help you understand how they learn and what methods of

learning best fits you. Understanding how you learn can help maximize time they spend

studying by incorporating different techniques to custom fit various subjects, concepts, and

learning objectives. Each preferred learning style has methods that fit the different ways an

individual may learn best.
