The efficient conversion of a chemical process into a process for manufacture on tonnage scale has always been of importance in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. However, in the current economic and regulatory climate, it has become increasingly vital and challenging to do so efficiently. Indeed, it has never been so important to keep up to date with the latest developments in this dynamic field.
At our Organic Process Research & Development Conference, you will hear detailed presentations and case studies from top international chemists. Our hand-picked programme of speakers has been put together specifically for an industrial audience. They will discuss the latest issues relating to synthetic route design, development and optimisation in the pharmaceutical, fine chemical and allied fields. Unlike other conferences, practically all our speakers are experts from industry, which means the ideas and information you take home will be directly applicable to your own work.
The smaller numbers at our conferences create a more intimate atmosphere. You will enjoy plenty of opportunities to meet and network with speakers and fellow attendees during the reception, sit-down lunches and extended coffee breaks in a relaxed and informal environment. Together, you can explore the different strategies and tactics evolving to meet today’s challenges.
Book your place today at the leading process R&D conference.
Do you want to improve efficiency and innovation in your synthetic route design, development and optimisation?

PLATINUM SPONSORRISE Process and Pharmaceutical Development (RISE PPD) is a research institute focusing on chemical process- and pharmaceutical development. As a partner to industrial organizations and academic research groups we lead projects from idea to proof of concept for commercial application. Our activities range from research, development and concept testing e.g. small scale manufacture. The majority of the current personnel have a
background from industrial pharmaceutical R&D with profound experience of drug substance and drug product development throughout the preclinical and clinical program to launch. Our current main business areas are within Life Science, Specialty & Fine Chemistry, BioEconomy and Material Science. The innovation infrastructure at RISE PPD includes expertise and state of the art research laboratories as well as very flexible facilities for process demonstration and
testing of new concepts, scale up of technical new materials, as well as small scale GMP-manufacture of drug substance (APIs) and drug product (IMPs) for clinical trials. We are a fully owned subsidiary of RISE, Research Institutes of Sweden.Come and meet us at the site visit provided on Thursday 28 September as part of the OPRD conference program!
SHORT COURSE: Work Up and Product Isolation
This short course will discuss the importance of designing simple, practical reaction quenches, work-ups and product isolations for a range of reaction and product types eg highly exothermic quenches, products with poor stability, removal of reagent by-products, consideration of impurities and meeting the needs of process intermediates
as well as final products. The focus of this short course will be to design processes suitable for large scale operation and the importance of laboratory experimental design and execution to adequately model the large–scale process.
Short Course Fee: €360
