In addition, the web site provides visitors with a list of locations where they can obtain the print publication or sign up for a mail subscription.

Rates are effective May 2013.  All rates are net and non‐commissionable.  Frequency rates cover a 12 month period and 

require a signed agreement.  All ads include process color ‐ there is no discount 

for black and white.   Add 20% for guaranteed position on back, inside 

front and inside back.  All rates are for single advertisers only and may not 

be assigned or transferred to any other party.  All ads include extended coverage through the 

digital eEdition of the magazine on RVLakeMagazine.com.

DIGITAL AD REQUIREMENTS Electronic submission of material is preferred and encouraged through transmission of standard PDF files to ensure accuracy and print quality. Call for alternative electronic formats. Files accepted on disk or by email.   

Keep the text and graphics boxes within the ad boundaries. 

Use a line screen of 100 lpi. Set the resolution at 300 dpi for line art and 200 dpi for halftones. 

All color (including the color art files) should be CMYK. Do not use RGB color. If you use a Pantone color, it must be converted to CMYK process separations. Please avoid 'Rich' Black (100% each of CMYK). 

Use type sizes of 8 points and larger. Do not scale text; use real point sizes instead. Use type sizes of 12 points or larger when reversing type, using multicolored type or text reversed out of a four‐color image area. 

Use only EPS or TIFF images in your ads. Check that you have embedded all the typefaces.

DISCOVER THE LAKE COUNTRY   The Area 

Neither Lake Gaston or Roanoke Rapids Lake is a city or township, but together form a rather large "community" of the privately owned property surrounding them.  This lake country has a recreational and relaxed pace and the population of residents is drawn primarily from a very large and diverse mix of full time residents, vacationers and retirees.   Lake Gaston and Roanoke Rapids Lake are located near the border of North Carolina and Virginia between Interstates 95 and 85. The lake country encompasses portions of Halifax, Northampton and Warren Counties in North Carolina and Brunswick and Mecklenburg Counties in Virginia.

The area surrounding the lakes is home to more than 150,000 residents. The nearest towns are Littleton and 

Roanoke Rapids in North Carolina, and Clarksville and South Hill in Virginia. 

More than 84% of residents in the lake country are 55 years and older. 

More than 45% of home owners in the lake country live there full time. 

More than 64% of residents in the lake country own their home.
