Hi, Great news! We’ve been nominated to participate in the Grill’d Local Matters donation program at Grill'd Manuka this month. Every month, Grill’d donates $500 to local groups and asks their customers to decide who the money goes to. When customers buy a burger, they will receive a token to put into one of 3 jars representing different groups. Whoever has the most tokens at the end of the month receives $300. The other two groups receive $100 each. To do your bit to help our cause, spread the word and head on down to Grill'd Manuka located at 40-42 Franklin Street Manuka ACT 2603

We've created this team because we want to raise money and make a difference by participating in Dare to Care - Red Nose Day. Please help us by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Dare to Care - Red Nose Day, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing our page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!

The end of the Rotary year is coming very fast.

This year’s District Changeover is in the final stages of planning, so make sure you

have it in your diary.

It will be held at the Coachhouse Marina Resort, Batemans Bay on Sunday 29 June 2014; 12.30pm for 1pm.

Accommodation is available on site, so make it a short break; come to beautiful

Batemans Bay for great weekend away.

Bookings will be on the District website from the beginning of May.

MUNA 2014 MUNA 2014 dates have been announced. The event will take place from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th August 2014, again at the Museum of Australian Democracy in Canberra. The event will again be sponsored by the Australian National University. Broad details are provided below. Additional information and registration forms will be available soon. Applications close on 31 May 2014 MUNA, the Model United Nations Assembly, is based on a continuing successful project, originally organised by the Rotary Club of Forbes, NSW, which has now been adopted by Rotary Districts and is enthusiastically supported by the United Nations. Many Rotary Districts run their own MUNA event each year. National MUNA brings together winners of District MUNA events and some other teams to debate United Nations related issues in the National Capital.

World Ovarian Cancer Day

Thursday 8th May is World Ovarian Cancer Day!

In the lead up to the day we’re asking people to take a

very quick and simple step to sign a pledge to share the

word on World Ovarian Cancer Day. Simply add your

email address to the World Ovarian Cancer Day website at it.ly/WOCDpledge and you will

receive an e-card on 8 May that you can forward to friends and family. Our aim is for everyone

who has signed the pledge to send it on to at least five people asking them to send it on to at

least five people and so on.

Through these simple actions on a global scale on this day, we anticipate this will go viral and

reach thousands and thousands of women worldwide with important messages about ovarian

cancer risks and symptoms.
