JSerra Ice Hockey Mission Statement

To offer our student athletes a program that will encourage a well rounded “experience”,

develop their skills to the fullest potential and promote disciplined championship

caliber hockey teams.

Team Component


Team component of the experience JV, Varsity and Prep

• Multiple levels of play creates a unique opportunity for player development

• Team-specific goals, objectives and roles for each level within a common framework

• Practices, league games, exhibition games, tournaments and playoffs

Program Component


Program component of the experience So much more than just hockey

• Structure of interaction between school and teams– Full-time, committed coaching staff (on ice and on campus)– Coordination and scheduling of hockey-related activities to

minimize impact on academics

• Developed and run by experienced career hockey professionals– Knowledge of advanced coaching methods and development

plans– An extensive network of hockey-specific contacts at all levels– Ability to provide expert guidance on player-specific hockey

career paths and choices - while in the program and for the next level(s)

• Benefits of a travel level program without the COSTS:– Financial– Time– Trade-offs (e.g. academics/GPA versus sports)
