1. 과정개요(Introduction)- 바이오융합협동과정의 기본 구도는 바이오 분야 (의약, 바이오 소재, 바이오나노, 의학)

를 컨텐츠로 하고 이 분야의 연구 및 개발의 도구가 되는 (인공지능, 빅데이터, AI 기반 첨단 분석장비, 오믹스 기반의 첨단 실험 기법) 첨단 기술을 융합하여 바이오산업 발전에 크게 기여 할 인력 양성과 더불어 바이오 기업들과 공동으로 첨단 기술 개발을 수행하는 것임

- 위의 기본 구도를 구축하기 위한 교육과정으로 바이오 기초 및 응용, 신약개발, 의료 정보/장비, 생명정보 및 인공지능 연구 및 개발 분야의 우수한 교원들을 확보하여 4차 산업시대를 리드할 전문 인력을 양성 할 수 있는 다양한 수업을 제공할 것임

- 바이오융합과정은 바이오 연구에 기본이 되는 지식을 위한 필수과목과 다양한 분야의 전공을 개설할 선택과목 그리고 논문 연구를 위한 논문연구 과목으로 구성 되어 있음

- The Integrative Biotechnology & Translational Medicine (IBTM) offers graduate academic program as well as faculty research that focuses on the integration of cutting-edge research platforms (omics, nanobiotechnology, biomaterials, structural biology, artificial intelligence, big-data) to accelerate the advance of new therapeutics and preventive medicines into clinical development.

- Armed with selected faculties with expertise in each research areas, and in collaboration with biotech and global pharmaceutical companies in the vicinity, the program is geared to harness the students (Master and PhD degrees) with integrative knowledge on next generation biotechnology.

- For this purpose, IBTM will provide basic core courses, optional courses for various areas, and graduate thesis.

10. 학과 내규(Regulations/Guidelines) ※ To be confirmed

1. 교과 과정

§ 석사학위과정, 박사학위과정 및 석박사통합과정의 수료를 위한 최저 이수학점은 각 30학점, 30학점, 54학점으로 한다.

§ 석사학위과정, 박사학위과정 및 석박사통합과정의 교과과정은 다음과 같다. ① 석사학위과정은 바이오융합협동과정에서 개설하는 공통과목 중 12학점, 선택과목 9 학

점, 논문연구 6학점, 세미나 3학점을 이수해야 한다. ② 박사학위과정은 바이오융합협동과정에서 개설하는 공통과목 중 12학점, 선택과목 9학점,

논문연구 6학점, 세미나 3학점을 이수해야 한다. ③ 석박사통합과정은 바이오융합협동과정에서 개설하는 공통과목 중 18학점, 선택과목 18학

점, 논문연구 12학점, 세미나 6학점을 이수해야 한다. ④ 선택과목은 과정 내 혹은 대학원 타 학과의 개설과목 중 학과에서 인정한 과목으로 수강

할 수 있다.

2. 박사논문제출자격시험

§ 박사과정생 및 석박사 통합과정생 중 자격시험 응시자는 소정의 과정과 학점을 이수해야 한다.

① 30학점 이상 이수 후 응시가 가능하다 ② 4학기 이수 후에 응시가 가능하다.§ 자격시험은 구술시험으로 하여 아래와 같이 종합적으로 평가한다. ① 학업성취도는 수강한 학점으로 평가한다. ② 기진행 연구내용과 연구계획서를 포함하여 평가한다. 연구계획서에 대한 내용은 심사위원

회에서 수강과목, 성적 및 본인의 연구분야 등의 수행을 종합적으로 검토하여 승인한다.§ 석.박사논문 제출자격 시험의 응시절차 및 일시는 다음과 같다. ① 자격시험에 응시하고자 하는 대학원생은 지도교수의 승인을 받아 응시원서를 제출하여

주임교수의 승인을 받는다. ② 자격시험은 매학기 말에 실시하며 과목선정은 지도교수의 승인을 받는다.

3. 대학원 학위논문

§ 대학원 석사 및 박사 학위논문의 제출자격은 아래와 같다. ① 자격시험 합격자 ② 총 평량 평균이 3.0 이상인 자 ③ 각 학위 별 졸업에 가능한 이수학점을 모두 이수하고 재학 중인 자

§ 대학원 학위논문 제출을 위한 발표실적 자격은 아래와 같다. ① 석사과정생은 국내외 학술대회 1회 이상 발표, 박사과정 및 석박사통합과정생은 SCI

논문 2편 이상 발표해야 한다. ② 박사과정 및 석박사통합과정생은 SCI급 논문 2편 중 1편은 반드시 본인이 first

author이어야 한다. 단, first author로써 발표된 SCI급 논문 (JCR 랭킹 상위 25%) 으로 발표되었다고 인정되는 경우는 1편의 논문으로도 충분한 졸업요건이 되고 본심 전에 논문의 게재증명(acceptance letter)을 받은 경우는 발표한 것으로 인정한다.

③ 자격요건으로 인정받을 학술논문의 연구내용은 박사학위 졸업논문이 주 내용으로 되어야 한다. 단, 논문심사위원회의 논의를 거쳐 동의를 얻을 시에는 예외를 인정한다.

④ 세부 사항 - 제 1저자 논문 인정 항목의 경우 공동 제1저자의 경우 0.5편으로 인정 함. (동일지도교

수 공동 제 1저자에 한함) - 논문에 지도교수가 교신저자 또는 공동교신 저자이여야 하며, 학생 본인의 소속으로 바

이오융합협동과정를 표기하여야 한다. § 학위 논문 제출 시기는 다음과 같다 (학교 내규에 준한 내용임). ① 석사과정 : 학위논문 연구계획서를 승인 받은 학생은 1학기 이상의 연구 지도를 받은 후

학위 논문 제출이 가능하다. ② 박사과정 및 석박사통합과정: 학위논문 연구계획서를 승인 받은 학생은 2학기 이상의 연

구 지도를 받은 후 학위 논문 제출이 가능하다.

§ 학위논문 심사 세부 방법은 다음과 같다. ① 박사학위 논문제출은 졸업을 희망하는 학기의 직전 학기말까지 학위논문 심사위원회에

서 심사를 받고 논문제출여부를 결정한다. ② 졸업대상자는 학위논문 심사절차에 따라 연구계획서, 심사위원명부를 제출한 후 개별적

으로 지도교수 및 심사위원과 상의하여 예비심사, 본심사를 진행한다. ③ 예비심사, 본심사 5일전에 가제본 논문을 학과사무실로 접수하여야 한다. ④ 석사, 박사 모두 학위논문을 영문으로 작성하여야 한다.

the research proposal; ① Academic performance is evaluated mainly by the credits and courses taken. ② Research proposal is evaluated considering preliminary research progress and

taken, and the intended research topic of the examinee. § A prospective examinee should; ① get an approval from the research supervisor, submit the necessary

documents and have them approved by the dean of IBTM ② The course requirements should be approved by the research advisor and

3. Requirements for Degrees

§ Requirements for the submission of thesis; ① Successful completion of the thesis examination ② Overall academic performance: > 3.0/4.3 ③ Completion of minimal course requirements & current enrollment in IBTM

§ Requirements for research performance are as follows; ① Master Degrees: at least one presentation in scientific meetings or

conferences; PhD/Joint Degree : mimimun two papers published in peer reviewed SCI journals

② PhD/Joint Degree students must publish at least one paper as the first author. However, if the first author paper is ranked within 25% in JCR, one paper could be considered as minimal requirement of publication. The acceptance letter is regarded as equivalent to publication.

③ The theme and the contents of published papers should be based on the thesis for degrees. Exceptions to this rule should be approved by the thesis committee.

④ Related issues - Co-first authored paper is credited as 0.5. (applied exclusively to the papers

co-authored by the same research supervisor) - The research supervisor should be credited as corresponding/

co-corresponding authors. The student should be affiliated with IBTM. § When to submit the thesis? (internal guideline). ① Master degree : At least one semester of research supervision after thesis

examination ② PhD/Joint Degree : At least two semesters of research supervision after thesis

examination

§ Thesis committee ① PhD/Joint Degree thesis should be submitted and evaluated to the thesis

committee immediately by the semester that an examinee wants to graduate. ② A prospective examinee should discuss with the research supervisor and

committee members with respect to the scope of thesis proposal and the time-line of the preliminary/evaluation of the thesis.

③ Draft copies of thesis should be submitted to the IBTM departmental office at least five days ahead of the committee. ④ The thesis should be written in English.

We identified a novel chaperone function of RNAs (Chaperna) for protein folding, distinct from protein-based chaperones. Proteome-wide analyses confirmed a hierarchical relationship between RNA and protein-based chaperone for the governance of protein folding and proteostasis. The chaperna function is harnessed for the folding and assembly of viral antigens into virus-like particles (VLPs) or nanoparticles for recombinant vaccines against emerging infectious diseases including influenza, MERS, Zika, dengue and FMDV.
