Arteries DefiniLon: one of the tubes that carry blood from your heart to the rest of the body. 

Example:  Arteries look red because the red blood cells in it are carrying oxygen to the rest of the body.

ProtecLve DefiniLon: Something that is used or intended to keep a person or parts of a person safe.

Container DefiniLon: Something such as a bowl, a bag, a bo\le, etc. that can be filled with something.

Circulatory System 

DefiniLon: One of the systems in the body that is responsible for moving blood around the enLre body. 

Example: These arteries are a part of a human’s circulatory system to help pump blood throughout the body.

Oxygen 

DefiniLon: A gas in the air that has no color, smell, taste, and that all  plants and animals need to live. 

Example: The oxygen tanks on these peoples back help them breathe underwater.

Complex DefiniLon: Something that is complex has a lot of different parts, and is difficult to understand or deal with. 

Example: Cars have a very complex engine.
