Dear Friends of the Old Stone School, Come celebrate the 4th on the 6th! Our annual Independence Day Celebration will be Saturday, July 6 at the Old Stone School. Join us, volunteer, and please donate for this fun, home town celebration! Speaking of donations, we have kicked off the 140x140 campaign with the Town of Hillsboro to raise $140,000 for the Old Stone School before it’s 140th birthday in 2014. So far, we’ve raised $5,591. We have a long way to go, but with your help, we can make it! This money will help with critical building repairs. Our first priorities are gutters and roof and foundation work. More recently, we have kicked off the Hillsboro Community Association & Friends of the Old Stone School annual membership and donation drive. Your tax-deductible dues and donations help the HCA manage and maintain this historic treasure. Use the form on page 3 to join, renew, and donate! I also want to thank to all who joined us for our annual Spring meeting this past May, and to our performers, Romana Hartmetz, Matthew Spears-Heinel and Melissa Allen. Thank you all for your continued support!

Sincerely,

Mark Ware, President

Hillsboro Community Association & Friends of the Old Stone School
