Football is back! In the next couple issues we’ll be previewing the top 10 NFL teams picked by Vegas.com to win Super Bowl XLV. Based on our research and our unbiased opinion we’ve come up what we believe are the only accurate football predictions out there! Here’s our picks for the top 4 teams; the Colts, Cowboys, Saints and Chargers: Colts: 2009 Record 14-2 (AFC Champion)Vegas.com odds to win the Super Bowl 13-2

With Peyton Manning and the rest of the Super Bowl losing team pretty much still intact, it’s hard not to view the Colts as one of the NFL’s best teams still. Peyton is motivated by the loss of last years’ big game. Peyton is still a top QB and can carry the Colts a long way. Former def. player of the year Bob Sanders returns from injury but the Colts have learned how to win without him so his impact is questionable. If you’re a pre-season believer the AFC South is anyone’s for the taking, the Colts were win less in exhibition games this summer. Fun fact: Each of Peyton’s 5 WR’s are 6’ 0” tall exactly. Our prediction: 11-5 and another AFC South title.

Cowboys: 2009 Record 11-5 (NFC East Title)Vegas.com odds to win the Super Bowl 8-1

It’s Romo’s time to elevate his game as an NFL top QB even in the pressure games or he’ll just be another “good” QB. No hangover this year from the Terrell Owens era. Roy Williams will need to prove he’s a number 1 or 2 WR next to Miles Austin who also has very high expectations this year. The

running tandem of Felix Jones and Marian Barber might just be the best in the league as long as they can both stay healthy. The Dallas offense is high powered and should take the team far but in order for the Cowboys to make a run at the Super Bowl their defense will have to prove they are the “big D” in Dallas. Washington has some growing pains to go through and Philly is in a rebuilding stage though they don’t know it yet. The Giants will be the Cow-boy’s biggest divisional competition but will also fall short. Our prediction: 13-3 and a trip to the NFC Championship game.

Saints: 2009 Record 13-3 (Super Bowl XLIV Cham-pion) Vegas.com odds to win the Super Bowl 8-1

The the majority of the team is still intact and the Saints are poised to make another Super Bowl run. With a healthy Drew Brees the Saints are a threat to score 30+ points per game. Their main area of concern will be turnovers but only because the Saints will be on offense more than 60% of the time. If there is a wrinkle in the their armor it’s the Saints defense. Lucky for them, NFL games are still decided by who scores the most points. The Cowboys fall short in the NFC title game this year and the Saints earn a chance to defend their Super Bowl title. Sorry fans, Drew Brees won’t be healthy going in to the Super Bowl this year and his performance will suf-fer because of it. The dreaded turnover will be the death of the Saints in Super Bowl XLV. Prediction: 12-4 and NFC Champion.

Chargers: 2009 Record 13-3 (AFC West Champion 4 straight years) Vegas.com odd to win the Super Bowl 17-2

take the Chargers deep in the playoffs. Off-season contract disputes from Vincent Jackson and Marcus McNeill will be a distraction for the team. The ad-dition of Mathews at RB and the loss of Tomlinson won’t affect the Charger’s running game either way this year. Sproles and Mathews will produce just fine. The big question is still Head Coach Norv Turn-er. He must prove he can take a team to the Super Bowl and this is his last year to do it. Slows starts to each of the last two years and disappointing playoff fizzes doesn’t give Charger fans a lot to be optimis-tic about. The Raiders, Broncos and Chiefs wont be a factor so San Diego should coast to a 5th consecu-tive AFC West Title. Our Prediction: Norv Turner’s last year as head coach as the Chargers disappoint in the playoffs yet again. Record 11-5 but this time they start strong going 4-1!

Super Bowl XLV Prediction: - Saints vs. Ravens. Baltimore will win the big game 38 – 28 and we’ll tell you how next issue. Also coming, our preview of the Patriots, Packers, Jets and Vikings who are teams 5 - 8 picked by Vegas.com to win Super Bowl XLV.

Soul eXistence is a four piece progressive metal band hailing from Lake Havasu. The boys have been in the studio since August 16th laying down new tracks for their upcoming third studio release. Good friend and studio engineer Lang-don Chieffo who is also co-producing the new CD has added an excitement level never before experi-ence by the band they report.

“It has definitely been the most amazing recording experience we’ve had to date” says guitarist Jeremy. “Langdon keeps us on track and brings out the best in each of us.”

Soul eXistence has seen many changes since forming way back in December of 2002; the most notable com-ing this past March when vocalist Aaron Peltier joined the effort.

Soul eXistence is looking forward to the release of their new CD which is set to drop this November. Immedi-ately following the CD release, Soul eXistence will hit the road touring California promoting their new music. Of course they will also be trying out some of the new tunes locally too!

“We can’t explain how much this EP means to us, es-pecially with the amount of support from fans, friends, and family” states Jeremy.

*A guy walks into a bar and asks for ten shots of the finest single malt scotch. The bartender sets him up and the guy takes the first shot in the row and pours it on the floor. He then takes the last shot and does the same. The bartender asks, Why did you do that? And the guy replies, Well the first shot always tastes like crap, and the last one always makes me sick!

* A doctor tells a man that the best thing to do is to give up drinking and smoking, get up early every morning and go to bed early every night. The patient paused and then asked, What’s the second best thing to do?

*A grasshopper walks into a bar. The bartender says, “We’ve got a drink named after you.” The grasshopper says, “You’ve got a drink named Kevin?”
