Day trip to the Galilee - Following the Path of Spiritual
Leaders and Spiritual Messages
Date: September 17th 2019
Nazareth
This is the place in which Mary received the angel’s annunciation of the
birth of Jesus. In the ruins of the old village of Nazareth there is a large
church in which many people experience the annunciation of new things
coming to fruition in their lives. The picturesque streets of Nazareth tell
the story of the Jewish and Christian Communities in its early days and will
lead us to the Church of the Annunciation.
The Tomb of Prophet Khavakuk
According to spiritual belief, souls keep incarnating from one life to
another.
When it comes to great prophets, it is believed that some elements of their
energy are present in their places of burial.
Khavakuk the Prophet was a wondrous figure, being one of the few to ever
argue with God and one of the few to ever come back from 'the other side'.
His life story is full of mystery and secrets and his tomb is a powerful
energetic place, which opens gateways to fertility and child bearing and
also to equanimity, the resting of the soul; which allows resting from
incarnation.

This area is located near Mount Khavakuk, which is believed to be one of
the gateways to the sky, attributing healing powers and prophetic virtues to
the area and its nearby spring, waters of which we will get to experience
and enjoy.
Safed - Kabbalist City (Israelis pronounce it Tzfat)
Safed is one of Israel’s four holy cities and is related to the Air element.
It is the birth place of the sacred Kabbala, the Jewish sacred secrets of
creation and is also the place from which most ancient Jewish melodies
originate.
It is a beautiful and picturesque city, filled with artisans, galleries and
Kabbalistic institutes. We will visit the beautiful alleys in the old town of
Safed, its synagogues and inspirational places, while introducing key figures
in the Kabbalist world.
There will be free time to visit the galleries.
The Healing Bench in Kursi
During Jesus’ years in the Galilee, he performed miracles and many
consciousness opening processes in the Sea of Galilee region.
In Kursi Jesus met a man possessed by demons and cured him by driving
these into a herd of pigs, which went on to drown at sea. As a virtuous
master, Jesus refused to take the cured man as his student and follower and
instead instructed him to return home and tell the masses that we can be
cured, healing is possible.

4
Kursi nowadays is an archeological site, which contains the ruins of a
Byzantine monastery and is visited by people devoted to spiritual practice
and pilgrims to the energetic bench.
Some attribute healing qualities to this bench and say it is a place that sits
on an old and powerful Vortex. We will sit on the bench and experience,
see and create healing energies.
Many people visit the site, asking to create a better reality in their lives; it is
a place to open and ask from the heart. The trip to Kursi will take us along
the Sea of Galilee and other sites related to Jesus’ activity in the Galilee.

Jerusalem - Heart of the World (Lev HaOlam)
Date: September 18th 2019
In the ancient Judaic writings, it is said that Israel is in the heart of the world,
Jerusalem is in the heart of Israel, the Old City is in the heart of Jerusalem, the
Temple Mount is in the heart of the Old City and Jerusalem is the heart of the
world. So why are there so many walls, twists, turns and prohibitions?
Maybe because Jerusalem is a metaphor for our reality - and our hearts contain
both conflict and holiness.
Heart of the World is an inspiring trip to Mount Zion and the Western Wall.
The encounter with the ancient walls deepens the sense of self for each
individual and creates sensitivity towards their companions.
The journey of this trip allows participants to feel a connection between the
gates of the city and the gates of the soul.
This unique experience allows us to consider the possibility of opening new
doors in our personal walls and thus create new paths of thought and a new
direction in our lifestyle.
Our journey will begin driving through Ein Karem, the birthplace of John the
Baptist and the Monastery of the Cross.
Mount Zion
Upon arrival we will move upwards, toward the hidden roofs and arrive to the
site of King David's grave. This walk touches on spiritual and mystical ancient
legends. The participants are introduced to the stories from the 'Midrash'
and the poetry of King David, which portray him as a leader and to readings
from ancient 'Midrashim' - teachings from the
Bible and Psalms.
Together we will experience
"The Seven Gates of Jerusalem"
meditation. This session connects
between the gates of the city and
the gates of the soul.

Cenacle
In the same compound, we will continue to visit the Cenacle, also known as
the “Upper Room”.
This is where the Last Supper was held and later on came to be the first
Christian church.
Entrance to the Old City of Jerusalem through
the Zion Gate
We will discuss the connection between the city’s walls and gates and the
walls that exist in our daily life. Continuing to the Hush area in the Jewish
Quarter for a special activity.
Church of the Resurrection (also known as the
Church of the Holy Sepulchre)
We will continue to the Christian Quarter of the Old City and visit the Church of
the Resurrection, which according to tradition, contains two of the holiest sites
in Christianity:
The site where Jesus was crucified
and Jesus’ empty tomb, where he is said to have been buried and resurrected.
This church was created as the traditional site of the resurrection of Christ and
attracts Christian pilgrims from all over the world.

About Derech HaLev Derech HaLev - ‘Pathway of the Heart’ - is a holistic concept developed by
Yizhar Hass. It holds an innovative approach to encountering life - and oneself
- through journeys in Israel that take its participants beyond the usual travel
experiences.
We customize special tours, workshops and events and aim to facilitate
meaningful experiences of personal growth for individuals, families and
groups.
Derech HaLev has also crafted an approach for organizational development
that many have found to be effective in increasing productivity and
teambuilding in a qualitative way. We receive letters and calls from people
who, sometimes years after they’ve participated, tell us about significant
change in their life, their work - and their perception of themselves.
Derech HaLev journeys and workshops benefit participants by creating a deep
emotional experience.
The participants’ exposure to Israel elevates the Derech HaLev experience to a
higher dimension.
Derech Halev also offers the possibility of interacting with unique people who
are living a way of life that goes beyond the ordinary.
