Mon, 20 July Staff Development Day
Principal’s Report
Welcome back to all students. We are so glad to see you all and we do hope that this is
going to be an ongoing situation with students remaining at school, considering our
current health situation. I would like to again thank our wonderful community for their
understanding in our return to school logistics and for helping to prepare their children for
their independent entry into school. Standing at the gate this morning was a delight and I
truly appreciate the cooperation and understanding that all parents and carers displayed.
A few of our littler people just walked into school without a second glance, surprising both
their parent and me.
Thank you also to our 2-6 parents who let their child/ren cross the road or walk to the
gate independently. This in itself will ensure that there are not large crowds causing us
concern at the gate.
We have the logistics in place for this afternoon also. Kindergarten and Year 1
parents, please do not come into the gate until just before the adjusted pick up
times, and follow the signage. After a couple of days you will become familiar with the
systems so the process will be easier. All years 2-6 will exit the school independently,
some with younger siblings, and meet parents away from the gate. I hope that the
Department will ease these restriction once the Covid-19 crisis eases, but please
understand that they will be with us for a while yet.
School Attendance
The Department of Education, in line with the Australian Health Protection Principal
Committee (AHPPC) and NSW Health guidelines is expecting that all students should
return to school, apart from exceptional circumstances (in this instance please contact
the school).
Principal’s Report
Many thanks for your support,
Mrs Wellings
Principal (Relieving)
Please revise the health guidelines for return to school by:
