It’s All About The Steal DVMA Christmas Brunch, Dec 11, 2016 –
DVMA members gathered for a wonderful Christmas brunch at El Tapatio in Pleasant Hill on
Dec 11. There were 40 members in attendance this year so the chairs were spacious enough
for everyone to be comfortable (and keep their prizes on top of the tables) in our private
room. The food and mimosas were great, some members enjoyed personal omelettes, and
everyone had a super time. Most members participated in the lively gift exchange which be-
came the steal-a-gift event. Harry explained most of the rules before beginning and then
pulled a raffle ticket to determine who would be first. Janet had her ticket pulled for the first
prize! This year there were gift cards, model Mustangs, tool and socket kits, a Snap-On pok-
er set, wax warmers (aromas), a duffle bag (that is available at Delta Bay Mustang), Ford
cups with hot cocoa packages, a gourmet food server, and a popcorn gift bag. Not everyone
played but those who did enjoyed a fun time trying to get the best item to take home. Raffle
tickets were used to give the table poinsettia plants to ticket winners. DVMA provided the
plants and part of the dinner cost for members. Many thanks to DVMA and all members at-
tending for a wonderful start to the Christmas and holiday season.
DVMA members must have quite
a sweet tooth because this year’s
battle was not over an RC car or
tools but a chocolate assortment!
Can’t remember who won; was it

DVMA Dispatch President Message
DVMA members had a wonderful dinner and fun time at El Tapatio, Pleasant
Hill, on Dec 11. There were 40 of us, and lots of gifts to exchange. Not sure
who did the most stealing but there were some awesome items. Let’s do it
again next year!
Our next general meeting will be January 11. We will have a vote about meet-
ing start times, so please be there to make your vote count. Should we begin
our meetings at 7:00 or at 7:30 pm? After this vote, our meetings will begin at
the elected time.
John has info about DVMA events and MCA National Shows. Ed presents the
monthly event calendar. Anne puts all the news in the monthly newsletter.
There are lots of avenues to get the news and also to advertise an event that you
would like to plan for DVMA members. We will need volunteers to help Jim
with our Annual Car Show on May 6, 2017. There are still some planning de-
tails to arrange, so join the Car Show Committee and be heard.
After the holidays, there will be lots of plans for spring and summer car shows.
Bring your calendars and your ideas to our meetings. Enjoy the cookies and
conversations, too!!!
I look forward to seeing you at meetings and/or at future events.
