IMPORTANT DATES & REMINDERS

The AVID spring college visits to Purdue University will take place on Friday, March 1st & Wednesday, March 6th.

The NVMS spring musical production of Annie Jr. will take place on Friday, March 1st & Saturday, March 2nd.

Yearbook Pictures for Performing Arts Groups & Clubs will be taken on Monday, March 11th.

The Scholastic Book Fair will take place in the NV Media Center from Monday, March 11th – Friday, March 15th.

Quarter 3 ends on Friday, March 15th.

Thursday, March 21st is an Early Release Day for staff and students.

Quarter 3 report cards will be distributed on Friday, March 22nd.

There will be no school Monday, March 25th – Friday, March 29th for Spring Break!

Changes are coming to MSDWT! Beginning in the 2019-2020 school year, the

school attendance boundaries within MSDWT

will change. Everyone is highly encouraged to

GREAT NORTH RUN 2019! Want to participate in something that is good

for you, your school, and your community?

Mark your calendars! The Great North Run and Fitness Fair will take place on Saturday,

March 9th at North Central High School. There

are three races to choose from – a family fun

run, a 5K, and a 10K – as well as a cool fitness fair in the North Central gym. This event

raises a lot of funds that benefit MSDWT

educational programs and help create

extracurricular opportunities for students.

The new Indiana state standardized assessment, ILEARN, is coming soon. The English/Language Arts

ILEARN test features listening and media literacy sections that require headphones. MSDWT is asking that all

parents prepare for this test by ensuring that students will have access to headphones or a pair of laptop-compatible earbuds by

early April.

videos to better help parents understand ILEARN. Click the links below to learn more.

2019-2020 Scheduling Updates

Tuesday, February 26th - Counselors from Eastwood will be at Northview to meet with current NV students who will be attending Eastwood next year to go over course options and take course requests.

Friday, March 1st - Counselors from Westlane will be at Northview to meet with current NV students who will be attending Westlane next year to go over course options and take course requests.

Tickets are $5 at the door.

Annie is a musical about an orphan

looking for a loving home. There are a lot of dogs in our community looking for the same thing. Northview Middle

School is partnering with the Indy Humane Society to bring their mobile unit to NVMS on the dates of Annie Jr.

performances. The PAWS van – along with Humane Society volunteers and some sweet adoptable pups – will be

parked outside of Door 5 an hour prior to each show. Learn about how to contribute or volunteer at the Humane

Society or consider pet adoption.

Northview Middle School Presents:

TSA SNACK DRIVE: The Builders Club is collecting snacks for TSA workers who have been affected by the partial

government shutdown. Please bring prepackaged snacks to room B108 by Friday, March 1st.

INTRAMURAL BASKETBALL!!!! Ballers of Northview - Are you the next LeBron? Or maybe Kyrie? Prove it on the court! Sign up for Northview's Intramural Basketball League ASAP. Rosters and Money are both due by Thursday Feb. 28th to B104. Cost is $5 a person. There will be a week and a half of play games and then a double elimination tournament. Winners of the league tournament get a pizza party OR their entry fee back. Questions? See Mr. Gaunt in B104
