TRANSCRIPT
In a controlled plant environment, Dutchland’s precast manufactur-ing facility is able to achieve consistency in temperature, moisture and lower water-to-cement ratios, as well as rebar and form control, that is not possible in cast-in-place concrete.
Precast pieces are poured horizontally, resulting in signicantly less air entrapment than vertically poured cast-in-place concrete.
Dutchland uses self-consolidating concrete (SCC) with y ash to produce dense & durable concrete.
Dutchland produces its own concrete with materials that come from nearby quarries and from suppliers we utilize year after year. This consistency assures predictable results.

QualityDutchland tanks are dynamically reinforced with post-tensioningtendons to maintain a higher residual compression in the walls, even when the tank is full.
Changes in precast concrete caused by shrinkage occur before the tank is erected. Therefore the total movement in a precast structure is signicantly less than in a cast-in-place structure resulting in lesscracking and greater durability.
Dutchland accommodates for small tank movements across closely-spaced wall joints. Cast-in-place must accommodate for thesemovements in widely-spaced expansion joints. Less movement occurs at the closely-spaced joints.
State-of-the-art Technology
Dutchland is a full design/build, manufacturing and construction rm specializing in the water/wastewater industry.
Dutchland has designed and built over 1,000 structures.
ExperiencePrecast manufacturing is completed o-site. Therefore, many schedule items can be overlapped.
Precast concrete is not impacted by weather conditions.
Speed
Dutchland tanks can be constructed for simple or complex structures, buried, partially buried, or above ground, as well as eithercircular, rectangular, or elliptical in conguration to accomodate project needs or site constraints
Suitable for many types of liquid containment including potable water, wastewater treatment, storm water retention, digesters, and more.
Dutchland precast post-tensioned structures can be expanded in the future (with or without prior planning), modied at any time, and added to existing structures.
Versatility Dutchland tanks are designed for 5,000-6,000 PSI at 28 days and the strength of precast concrete gradually continues to increases over time.
The Dutchland precast post-tensioned tank design provides active reinforcing which results in signicantly less cracking and greaterlongevity.
A low water-to-cement ratio in addition to curing in a controlled factory, ensures a dense, highly durable, watertight structure.
Cost Savings
Durability
Cost savings through material optimization
Reduced life cicle cost due to superior design and unprecedentedlongevity.
Ability to use thinner walls and thiner base slab compared to cast-in-place while still meeting ACI 350 and other applicable codes andstandards.
Reduced site work and reduced time on-site.
SustainabilityBecause precast concrete is factory-made, there is little waste created in the plant. On-site construction waste and debris is signicantly reduced, as well as the environmental impact of noise pollution and site disturbance. In addition, Dutchland precast concrete accomodates recycled content by incorporating y ash into the concrete mix design.
