Sitting here in the woods, watching two red squirrels eating the corn I put out for the deer, but they never seem to come by. Not too much to talk about . The gas tank was removed and I am working on getting more estimates on a new tank. There will be some work to do on the docks this winter, the new Fleet Captain will keep you posted. Once again I have to go pack for week of deer hunting, if you want to call it that. Fleet Captain out.

The First Friday of November we tried what I’m affectionately coining “Jukebox-okee”. We sang along to the jukebox and had a blast! We will do it again on December 4th starting at 7ish. What can I say about the Veteran’s Day Commemoration that you don’t already know?! WOW! Please continue to thank Roger, Patti & Jim, Renee & Gary, Paul and so many more for the long hours and commitment to this event. The 2015 Commodores Ball was a smashing success…wowzers-do we clean up good! Thank you Gary and Renee for a great evening; we appreciate you as much as you appreciate all of us. Coming Up: Sunday, November 29th,beginning at noon, we host a cookie walk!! Donate your holiday specialties and it doesn’t need to be cookies-candy, breads, and crafts or just come to shop! We need the donations in groupings of 6 and a small platter with samples please. Donations will go towards our dock fund. Saturday, December 12th, The Annual Children’s Christmas Party gathering starts at 11am and runs until 1:30pm. Please sign up by December 5th. Saturday, December 19th, The Annual Lipinksi White Elephant Extrava-ganza starts at 6:00pm and the re-gifting to start at 8:00pm at the GBYC. If you are interested in participating, please bring a “special” wrapped gift (1 per person) that needs a new home and a appetizer to share. Thursday, Decem-ber 31st, Ring-a-ling-a-ling! Please consider joining fellow club members for a New Year’s Eve Party at the club. From black ties to blue jeans, wear what you want beginning at 5:00pm. Tickets are $30 a person and are limited to the first 60 people. The ticket price will include a beef tenderloin dinner, party favor and a champaign toast at midnight. We ask that you bring an appetizer or dessert to pass. Tickets can be obtained from your friendly bartenders.

We may not be dashing through the snow but the holidays have arrived! This month we start by thanking Jay Zahn and Randy Slye for hosting the November Men’s Smoker. The December 16th, highly anticipated “Wild Game” smoker will be hosted by Jack Koehn; sign yourself up on the bulletin board. (Please remember that the 2014 Wild Game Smoker helped to completely fund the Children’s Christmas party this year! Bravo gents!) Jack assures us that he has been diligent in accumulating the protein for the dinner this year! I briefly mentioned that Halloween brought us a “Saturday Night Live” themed costume party on the 31st. Jackie & Jim Manlick really knocked it out of the park, thank you! We had a full house with some great costumes. Congratulations to Pat Foley (Women’s), Team Lipinski and team (Group) and Skeleton Man (Men’s). We also thank the Geezer Gang Band for providing us with great entertainment!!

Thank you Gary and Renee for a fantastic Commodore's Ball. It truly was a lot of fun! Hope everyone had a great Thanks-giving. A Packer's game and turkey is always good. By the time we read this we'll know which one was better. This is the last month I take care of the yard. On that note, please don't turn off the power at the fuel shack. That also turns off the aerator for the well. I would like to thank all of you for putting up with me and for all your help. I could never thank all of you enough. Gary Kuschel as Commodore as always is a class act. Heather Heil has made the club a very fun place to be! Kris Johnson's behind the scenes work is incredible and constant. Marlyn has worked tirelessly for all of us. Jim Manlick really stepped up and took care of some long over-due tasks. Thanks to Jim Beauleau for brightening up the club and the preventive work on the roof among other things. I don't know if anyone understands all the work Dan Emmel has done. Simply incredible and far to much to note here. Our former Commodore Jerry Treleven was always there for much needed advice and his knowledge of club history. I thank you all for your support and I know the next board will be even better. Thank you to all the club members for your respect and the amount of help everyone put in to making our club successful. It has been my pleasure. Mike Watkins

Hello GBYC family. Hopefully everyone had a nice Thanksgiving holiday & reflected on all that you should be thankful for. We all have a great club here to be thankful for! Thank you Gary & Renee! Wonderful time at the Ball, Awsome evening! Don't have much as far as the building is concerned except it's going to get a workout in the off boating season ! I'd like to say Have a Very Merry Christmas & remember what CHRISTmas is really all about. God Bless. Jim Beauleau Family

As we enter our down season with it being chilly outside. Get yourself up at the GBYC with Todd's chili or some booyah. Stop on down for Tuesday burger. As a reminder, happy hour is on all Thursdays now, along with our Mexican menu. Please remember to always clean up and tip our bartenders and "cookie".

Have a happy and safe holiday season!

Annual General Meeting

Gary Kuschel

December 10th

I am running again this year for Commodore. I want to thank the outgoing board members, it was a pleasure working with them. I look forward to working with the new board members and to keep the ball rolling in the right direction. See you at the meeting. Gary

THANK YOU to our outgoing board members as they did a great job! Dan Emmel, Mike Watkins, Jim Beauleau, Jim Manlick

Hi, I’m Steve Heney. I’ve been a member here for the past 8 years and I’ve been an active boater on the bay for 34 years and proud to be a member. I’ve worked on the Brown County police force for 31 years. I look forward to contributing my knowledge to promote the club in a positive way and keep the club going in a positive direction. Thank you in advance for your vote. Steve Heney

Candidates running for the GBYC Board of Directors

Robb Collins

My name is Robb Collins. My wife Carrie and I have been members of the club for the past 6 years. From day one we have felt like one of the family here at the club. I was nominated, recruited and I accepted. So I am very happy to be running for the board. I will do the best I can if elected. Thank you, Robb Collins

I guess it’s true when they say time fly’s when you’re having fun. It doesn’t seem like two

years have passed since I was first elected to the board but it has and I’m again asking for your

support. I’ve had the pleasure, mostly, to be the GBYC secretary these last couple of years and

the Vice Commodore this past year. I’d like to thank the Commodores and board members I’ve

served with for making my first term productive and enjoyable, mostly. We’ve been able to make

some improvements to the facilities and have been working on plans and funding to improve our

docks. I again thank you for your past support and look forward to working with you in the future.

Thanks, Jim Manlick

Jim Manlick

Patrick Foley

My name is Jim Thompson. My wife and I have been members of the club for the last 10 years. I've been self-employed for the last 16 years with my two brothers in a family business and I'm running for the board because I guess I'm just nuts.

Hello GBYC Family! For those of you who don’t know me, I have been a rather permanent fixture around the club for the last decade plus. My wife, Bridget and I have lived aboard our boat here at the club every summer since we joined. That being said, I am around quite often to help out at the club where needed. In past years, I have already served on the Board as the Secretary and Treasurer. In my professional life, I am a Builder/Home Remodeler…which also means I have been very involved in many building/maintenance and dock projects the club has worked on over the years. I have also served on the Nomination Committee and Dues and Fees Committee for several years…as well as was a part of the Membership Committee in years past. My wife and I have chaired a few events in our time here…and continue to help out wherever help is needed whether it is serving burgers and doing dishes, or setting up and helping with all of the fantastic events our club holds. I am interested in being elected to the Board again and feel I can be most beneficial as the Fleet Captain or Building and Grounds areas. However; I will take on whatever position I am elected to do. Thank you for your con-sideration in electing me.

~Patrick Foley
