The bui ld ing combines minimal i s t Scandinavian

aes thet ics with v ibrant textures , fabr ics and ceramics

sourced f rom ar t i sans in South Afr ica and Swazi land.

The s ta i rwel l funct ions as an exhibi t ions space , with

pieces curated by the Workplace Foundat ion,

showcas ing emerging and under-represented

contemporary ar t i s t s .

With susta inabi l i ty a t i t s core , The Conduit’s i s

character i sed by repurposed and ethica l mater ia l s .

The plas ter cover ing our wal l s i s made with renewable

and compostable hemp that reduces excess mois ture

and takes pol lutants out of the a i r. 100% of our energy

i s matched to renewable sources , a s cer t i f ied by energy

regulator Ofgem.

DID YOU KNOW?

Whenever possible, we avoid using tablecloths. This pol icy has saved 168kg of tablecloths per week, and the 1,400 l itres of water needed to wash them. That’s the equivalent of almost 73,000 l itres a year – or 485 bathtubs!
