Running backs• Tyler Renew was named Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week after one of the best rushing performances in conference history. He finished the win vs. No. 20 Samford with a career-high 285 rushing yards, the 7th-highest single-game total in SoCon history and the 3rd-best single-game rushing total in FCS in 2016, and a career-high three touchdowns on a career-high 45 carries. His touchdown total tied for the most in the SoCon and 18th in FCS this season.• Tyler Renew produced the first 200-yard rushing performance by a Bulldog since 2013 with 285 yards vs. Samford.• Cam Jackson currently holds The Citadel's record for career average yards per carry. offensive line• Isaiah Pinson was voted the Southern Conference Jacobs Blocking Award winner by the conference's coaches. Pinson became the second Bulldog to earn the award and first since 2012. Pinson and fellow tackle Nick Jeffreys earned first-team All-SoCon honors from both the coaches and media, and guard Kyle Weaver was voted second-team by both.• Since the beginning of the 2014 season, the Bulldogs’ offensive line has been one of the most efficient in the country. The Citadel offense has produced 37 100-yard rushing performances in that span, including a school-record 14 in 2015.• Isaiah Pinson and Kyle Weaver each started 37 consecutive games for the Bulldogs, and Ryan Bednar had 28 career starts. special teams• DeAndre Schoultz ranked 1st in the SoCon and 10th in FCS with an average of 11.9 yards per punt return.• Cody Clark made a career-high-tying three field goals, including a career-long 48 yarder that tied for the 10th longest in program history, in the win vs. No. 20 Samford. He connected on a 34 yarder with three seconds remaining to send the game to overtime and made the game-winning 36-yard field goal in the first overtime.• Cody Clark was named SoCon Special Teams Player of the Week after he made two field goals in the win vs. No. 5 Chattanooga. He connected on a 37 yarder on the final play of the 2nd quarter to give the Bulldogs a 17-14 halftime lead and made a 32-yard field goal with 24 seconds remaining in the game to push The Citadel's lead to 22-14.• DeAndre Schoultz was named SoCon Special Teams Player of the Week after he returned five punts for 120 yards, including an 81-yard punt return touchdown, in the 31-24 win at Gardner-Webb.
