The Prophetic Past, Present andFuture

� In review we know that the Gospel must bepresented to a lost and dying world.

� We know that the promise of power was given

by Jesus before His death, and then fulfilled onthe day of Pentecost. These are historical andverifiable truths.

� We know that the Holy Spirit was given to reveal

the will of God to mankind. Once that revelationis given to our understanding, (our mind) , thenwe must communicate that to man.



� We know that we dont always understand themethodology of God. We know that our minds are in abattle to believe and embrace Gods ways.

� 1 Corinthians 2:4-16 (King James Version)

�4And my speech and my preaching was not withenticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstrationof the Spirit and of power:

�5That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of

men, but in the power of God.�

6Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that areperfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of theprinces of this world, that come to nought:



�7But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, eventhe hidden wisdom, which God ordained before theworld unto our glory:

�8Which none of the princes of this world knew: for hadthey known it, they would not have crucified the Lordof glory.

�9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,neither have entered into the heart of man, the thingswhich God hath prepared for them that love him.

�10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: forthe Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.



�11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save thespirit of man which is in him? even so the things of Godknoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world,but the spirit which is of God; that we might know thethings that are freely given to us of God.

�13Which things also we speak, not in the words whichman's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghostteacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.



�14But the natural man receiveth not thethings of the Spirit of God: for they arefoolishness unto him: neither can he know

them, because they are spiritually discerned.

�15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yethe himself is judged of no man.

�16

For who hath known the mind of the Lord,that he may instruct him? but we have themind of Christ.



� Remember this is a mystery, God is revealing thingsto us and for us. We must pay attention to the thingsthat are going on around us. We are products of pastprophecy and we are participating in paving the way

for future prophecy.� It is not that God is trying to fool us or make us look

like idiots. It is that our minds have been born into thissystem and have been trained to think in terms of thissystem. When your born again you start thinking like

God thinks, this will seem foreign to you at firstbecause when you think about it, it doesnt alwaysmake sense to you.



� An example of this would be Paulsexplanation of the preaching of the cross

� 1 Corinthians 1:18 (King James Version)

�18For the preaching of the cross is to themthat perish foolishness; but unto us which aresaved it is the power of God.

� What I am saying is that God is orchestratingthings behind the scenes, you are part of thatrevelation and have to recognize it.



�P.O.W.E.R.Plan on Winning Every Race.This power is essential because it is the part that

we cant supply without being connected to

heaven through the Holy Ghost. We could walkaround all day saying and doing but unless there

is a result then we are idiots



� Faith and Obedience are the two keys of

operating in the Spirit.

�

This power is visible, remember that, it is nota colloquialism based on Bible language.

� We are going to learn how to operate in this

power through faith and obedience. Let us

establish another mystery first.



�Ecclesiastes 3:14,15

�14I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall

be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor anything taken from it: and God doeth it, thatmen should fear before him.

�15

That which hath been is now; and thatwhich is to be hath already been; and Godrequireth that which is past.



Isaiah 46:9,10

Remember the former things of old: for I amGod, and there is none else; I am God, and there isnone like me,

�10Declaring the end from the beginning, and

from ancient times the things that are not yetdone, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will doall my pleasure:



� Haggai 2:5-9 (King James Version)

�5According to the word that I covenantedwith you when ye came out of Egypt, so my

spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.

�6For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, itis a little while, and I will shake the heavens,

and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;�

7And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come:



� and I will fill this house with glory, saith the

LORD of hosts.

�8

The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saiththe LORD of hosts.

�9The glory of this latter house shall be greater

than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts:

and in this place will I give peace, saith the

LORD of hosts.



� I want you to understand that the zenith of the kingdom of Israel in mans eyes hadpassed. A long captivity with death, despise

and ridicule had since ensued. The glory haddeparted from the temple, and the presenceof God and the word of the Lord had becomeprecious in that it was rare. We see the

kingdom being represented through a fewmen, and that was Jeremiah in chapters 1 and2, and other prophets.



� Now deliverance from that captivity as

prophesied by Jeremiah had come to pass, but

what now.

� What if you were there and Haggai spoke this

to you. What would you think? I can tell you

that you would think he was crazy.

� Another Scenario



� Ezra 3:9-13 (King James Version)

�9Then stood Jeshua with his sons and his brethren, Kadmieland his sons, the sons of Judah, together, to set forward theworkmen in the house of God: the sons of Henadad, with

their sons and their brethren the Levites.�

10And when the builders laid the foundation of the templeof the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel withtrumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals,to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David king of Israel.

�11And they sang together by course in praising and givingthanks unto the LORD;



� because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever towardIsrael. And all the people shouted with a great shout, whenthey praised the LORD, because the foundation of thehouse of the LORD was laid.

But many of the priests and Levites and chief of thefathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the firsthouse, when the foundation of this house was laid beforetheir eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloudfor joy:

�13

So that the people could not discern the noise of theshout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people:for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noisewas heard afar off.



� There was confusion, lack of vision, unbelief, and

a lack of understanding from the old order of

things, represented in this promise of Haggais.

� Here we are some 2600 years later. Do you not

see the same pattern. This generation cant see

past the apostolic days, the early church and her

works. We cant see ourselves being greater ordoing more than they did, but in fact we are and

will.



� This generation is crucial to the future of the

church. We must come to a mutual

understanding and acceptance of who we are

and that the house of the latter will always be

greater than that of the former. The latter rain

always brings the harvest, the former rain

always brings the conditions conducive forplanting on good soil.



� It will be in the transition of this generation

into the power of God.

�

Deliverance� Revival

� Restoration

�Reformation

� Lets go one more place to build upon our

thought for the day.



� Nehemiah 13:17-25 (King James Version)

�17Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, andsaid unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do,

and profane the sabbath day?�

18Did not your fathers thus, and did not our Godbring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yetye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning thesabbath.

�19And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut



� concerning this also, and spare me according to thegreatness of thy mercy.

�23In those days also saw I Jews that had married wivesof Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab:

� 24And their children spake half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews' language, butaccording to the language of each people.

�25And I contended with them, and cursed them, and

smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, andmade them swear by God, saying, Ye shall not give yourdaughters unto their sons, nor take their daughtersunto your sons, or for yourselves.



� You see it was all about the fruit being

produced from the union of Gods people.

That remains the same today. This is why the

truth of the Gospel must be preached and not

merchandised.
