Each one of us places their

hope, faith, and trust in the LORD

our God. We each made our

confession of faith and believe

with our entire being in God.

We know that life may not

always go according to our plans.

We get frustrated when things do

not go right or seem to spiral out

of our control.

Each of us should approach

the LORD with the joys of our

hearts and those concerns which

burden our souls. This is what

God wants from us. God wants

our worship and our cares. God

wants us to be a faithful people

who love and serve the LORD

with all the fiber of our being.

Easter is a reminder of the

covenant we made with God.

Christ came into this world for

our salvation. He lived for us for

the remission of our sins. He

rose on the third day to remind

us of God’s unlimited power

and to remind us God’s grace is

available to all.

Hope and trust in the LORD .

God watches over each one of us

and seeks to protect and nurture

our souls. Our salvation is inherent

in Christ. Remember what Christ

did for us in his life. Remember

how Jesus lived and taught in this

world. His teaching is our guide

to live as a faithful people who

seek to serve the LORD .

Blessings,

Jason

Christ Lived For Us

Love the LORD, all his faithful people! The LORD preserves those who are true

to him, but the proud he pays back in full. Be strong and take heart,

Today, the last Wednesday of

March, is Manatee Appreciation

Day. Having a lifespan of about 60

years, manatees are calm herbivores

with no known natural enemies that

spend most of their time eating,

sleeping and traveling. Manatees like

slow rivers, canals, saltwater bays,

estuaries and coastal areas. The

most significant challenge manatees

face today is the loss of habitat.

Currently, there are approximately

3,200 manatees living in the USA.

Tonight’s Schedule

Bible Study 6 p.m. Tomorrow, March 29 is Maundy

Thursday. FCC will host a Come &

Go Communion Service from 6:30

to 8:30 p.m. that evening.

Good Friday is Friday, March 30.

FCC will hold a Good Friday Prayer

Vigil from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. There

is a sign up sheet for prayer time

slots in the Fellowship Hall. Each

slot is 45 minutes. The hours are

flexible if you need to come in

before or after the set times. There

are also prayer cards to write

whatever need, person, or subject you

feel deserves prayer. Please fill out the

cards and leave them in the basket.

On Saturday, March 31 there will

be a wedding shower for Gatlin

Didier and Christine Costello. The

shower is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m.

They are registered at Kohl’s and

Thomas Drug & Variety. They are

also registered online at Pottery

Barn and Crate & Barrel.

Easter Sunday is April 1. FCC

will host an Easter Egg Hunt for our

Sunday School kids during Sunday

School at 10 a.m. Parents, please

make sure to enter through the

North door with your kids before

the Easter Egg Hunt so we don’t

have any early seekers. :) We will

also be blessed to witness 6 baptisms

during our Easter Sunday Worship.

Our candidates for baptism are:

Harper Hamar, Lillie Hightower,

McCartney Lisle, Brittany Peden Olivia

Williams, and Savannah Williams.

Savannah is Jason Williams niece

and has placed her membership with

her home church, New Covenant

Christian Church in OKC.

Worship Committee will meet

Wednesday, April 4 at 5 p.m.

There is a Diaper Outreach table

in the Fellowship Hall for Susan

Godwin’s granddaughter Raylea Sue.

If you would like to take part in

this outreach, please bring diapers

size newborn or bigger and/or baby

wipes. FCC will include a card from

the entire church when the diapers

and wipes are delivered on or around

Friday, March 30.

That’s all I have for now,

Jennifer

WHEN WE CAN’T FIND EASTER Easter is the most joyous Christian holy day ...

except when it’s not. What do we do when our mood

isn’t what we think it “should” be? The kids are

sugared up, we’re juggling family gatherings (and

maybe conflicts), our everyday challenges remain,

and festive hymns - however rousing - fail to lift our

spirits. We wonder, “What’s wrong with me, that I

can’t seem to find Easter?”

Been there, done that. And it’s okay. You’re okay.

Jesus’ resurrection doesn’t scoop us out of our

troubles, but the death-defying Christ walks through

them beside us, on our own Emmaus road (Luke 24).

We aren’t alone. When we can’t find Easter, Easter

somehow finds us - if not on this designated Sunday,

perhaps two days from now, or next week or mid-

May. Watch for it; keep your heart open. Christ is

risen indeed - and you shall be too.
