1) Ext. Police Station. Klaipeda, Lithuania. Morning.Subtitled: “Klaipeda Police Department, Lithuania”

The camera opens on an old decrepit building with metal doors on the outside on asunny morning. The doors swing open and we see Velma, Casey Christina and

Agent Adrian Rezek walk out of the building and shield their eyes from the bright sun. They are escorted down a sidewalk and then let out of a gate that leads to thestreet. They all turn to each other not saying a word. They all look very tired and

not very happy.

Velma:(Sarcastically) Well, that was a hoot.

Casey:What did they say to you?

Adrian:I explained to them that I was FBI and that you two were aiding me in a case.

Casey:

(Sarcastically) How nice for you… I felt like I was a detainee on Jarvis Island…

Velma:My visit was quite pleasant, actually… but I think that’s because I can speak their

language.

Casey gives Velma and Adrian each a dirty look.

Casey:



Now what?

Adrian:Well, it depends. Velma, did you tell them what you told me Yvette said on the

phone yesterday?

Velma:Of course not.

Casey:I’m sorry, am I missing something here?

Adrian:Velma overheard Yvette speaking to someone on the phone yesterday…

Velma:She was talking to someone saying that she would keep the secret…

Adrian: That someone just happens to be my boss, Director General Snider.

Casey looks surprised.

Casey:Well… then… like I said, what next?

Adrian:I’m going back to D.C. You two should stick around here and keep an eye on our

geriatric spy.

Casey:Velma was almost JFK-ed this morning… that sniper had his target beam on her

forehead…

Velma:Oh, I’m fine…

Casey:What if they decide to come back? Adrian, you’re our protector here… we need you.

Velma: The two of you go, I’ll stay. We only need someone here to keep an eye Yvette and

see who she talks to… plus, I think I could get her to trust me; we share onething in common…

Casey:What’ that?

Velma:As Agent Rezek so politely stated, she’s a geriatric… as am I.



Velma flashes a big smile and Casey and Adrian follow along.

Velma:I can take care of myself; you two have work to do.

Adrian nods like he doesn’t like it.

Velma: Just go, Agent Rezek… I’m staying with or without you.

Casey and Adrian agree and Casey gives Velma a hug.

Casey:Be careful.

Adrian walks up to Velma and also hugs her. As he does this, he takes his gun frominside his jacket and puts it in Velma’s hand. She looks at him like “no,” but he nods

“yes.” He turns and he and Casey get into their car and drive off. Velma looks at thegun, then quickly puts it into her bag. The camera cuts to Adrian and Casey as they drive off. Casey says to Adrian:

Casey:So, what are you going to do?

He looks at her very seriously and says:

Adrian:I have a few things to take care of at the office…

Casey knows exactly what he means and looks forward as the camera cuts to:

2) Int. FBI Building. Washington, D.C. Evening.

The camera opens on Adrian as he walks into the building wearing the same clothesas earlier. He marches through the office and directly to Director General Snider’soffice. Without knocking, he throws the door open and walks right up to Snider’sdesk, who is reading over some documentation. Snider takes off his glasses andlooks up at a very furious Adrian. Snider sits back in his chair smugly as he says:

Snider:Ah, Agent Rezek, I was just reading up about your vacation to Lithuania.

Adrian: Yeah, I’m sure you know all about it… got some old friends in Lithuania, don’t you?

Snider:I’m sorry?

Adrian:



Yvette Nikilov. I know you spoke to her on the phone yesterday.

Snider:Is that so? Let me ask you something, why is it you were in Lithuania speaking with

Nikilov anyway?

Adrian:I found out who she was… but apparently, you already knew exactly who she was

and what she did.

Snider: You’re treading on some very thin ice here, Rezek. Who ordered you to go to Europe

in the first place?

Adrian:I was working a case.

Snider:

Yes, I see that… with that Australian journalist and a 68 year old woman… what thehell were you thinking?

Adrian:I was thinking that I may have had a break on a huge case!

Snider:Adrian, sit down…

Adrian reluctantly sits. Snider gets up and walks around his desk and then sits onthe edge as he looks down at Adrian.

Snider: Yes, we know… we knew… we knew since the day JFK was shot… but we kept it a

secret for a reason.

Adrian:Government involvement? (Said accusingly)

Snider:Don’t be ridiculous. She was Russian, Rezek… a spy. You think we wanted to accuse

Russia of assassinating our president in 1963? The height of the damn Cold War?Cause, I’ll tell ya… if we did, you wouldn’t be sitting here right now… none of us

would.

Adrian:Who was the man following us? Was he government? Was he killed by us too?

Snider:I don’t know what you’re talking about.



Adrian reaches into his coat and he throws the badge that he found from the manfollowing them; the badge with a red upside-down triangle on it. Snider catches it and examines it. He looks puzzled as he throws it back to Adrian and says:

Snider:I’ve never seen anything like that so long as I’ve been working for the Bureau.

Adrian:Could it be CIA?

Snider:No, I’d know about that…. As for the man who was shot in Ms. Christina’s hotelroom… we’re looking into it. The Lithuanian government was kind enough tocooperate with us even though we had no clearance or documentation to be

sending a damned FBI agent to their country!!

Adrian looks down like he knows he was in the wrong. Snider walks back around hisdesk and sits down. He folds his hands and leans on his desk as he looks at Adrian

very sternly and says:

Snider: You’re suspended until further review and notice. If you continue working as anindependent contractor for Erik Jan Hanussen, you will be taken into custody and

you will most certainly face some serious prison time… and because of the nature of your investigation with Jan Hanussen… 2012… and you’re status as the lead agent

in that division here… you could be sent to Jarvis Island for detainment forconspiracy.

Adrian jumps up and looks outright pissed.

Adrian:What?!

Snider: You’ve used your FBI status to aide him in matters that are classified!!! If I weren’twho I am, sitting behind this desk, you’d already be on a plane to the middle of the

Pacific. Now get the hell out of my office…

Adrian, still very mad and obviously speechless, turns and walks out of theDirector’s office. We see Snider watching Adrian go in the background as Adrianmakes a turn and walks down the hall. We see his partner, Agent David Foster,waiting for Adrian in the hallway. He comes rushing up to Adrian as Adrian, with adetermined and pissed off look, just keeps walking.

Agent Foster:Hey, what happened in there??

Adrian doesn’t respond. Foster grabs Adrian and stops him and looks at him in theeye and says softly:



Agent Foster:What happened?

Adrian:I’m suspended. (He begins walking again)

Agent Foster:What? Why?!

Adrian:Not now, David… not now.

Adrian keeps walking and as he walks past the glass “2012 Division” office doorsthe camera stays on the doors and then quick cut red-toned cuts to:

3) FLASH. Ext. Hong Kong, China. Dusk.

The camera opens on Adrian right where it left off in the first flash of episode 1 with

him standing in the middle of rubble as he looks around the city of Hong Kong as it is majorly devastated by whatever it is that happened while Adrian was in thesubway tunnels below. Black smoke, debris, dead people and fire are all aroundhim. The sky has a red haze over it and it seems like the end of days. Adrian snapsout of it and he looks around at where he is. Just then, about a block away, he seeshis black sedan that he and his partner, Agent Nino Espinaso, were transporting afemale suspect in. It’s on fire, but it occurs to Adrian that Nino is still out there.

Adrian says to himself as he remembers…

Adrian:Nino…

Adrian starts to frantically look around him, but there is just too much chaos. Just then, he hears a meek cry. He turns to try to hear where it’s coming from, but can’t find it. He hears it again and then runs in the direction of the voice. He jumps over debris and dodges fire from various cars on fire until he comes to where the cries of help are originating. He spots a young boy trapped under a car that is ablaze. Thechild is bleeding and his leg is trapped under the frame of the car, crushed. Adrianlooks over the situation for a moment then runs up to the boy, who is crying.

Adrian:I’m gonna get you out of here, alright? Just stay calm…

Asian Boy:我的母亲。…

Adrian looks at the boy, but doesn’t understand what he’s saying. The boy keepssaying it over and over until he points and that’s when Adrian looks over and sees awoman lying dead with a huge piece of concrete on top of her. He looks up andsees a building from above that is on the verge of toppling over. The piece of concrete on the woman is a piece of that building. Adrian now sees the urgency of the situation as he rushes back to the child and begins trying to lift the car off of



him, but he just can’t do it. He stops and thinks for a moment. He then reaches intohis pocket and pulls out a pocket knife. He looks at the child’s leg that is pinned andwe hear a loud creaking of the building from above. Adrian looks the boy in theeyes and they both look very nervous. Adrian puts the knife to the child’s leg, but

just as he is about to begin cutting, we hear a voice. He turns around and we see Agent Espinaso running up behind Adrian.

Nino:Papi!!

Adrian jumps up as he rushes to Nino and grabs him and they hug. Adrian says:

Adrian:Where is she?! Where’s the suspect??

Nino:She knew… she knew this was going to happen…

Adrian:What?

Nino:We were running from the plane… she hit me, I fell… she kept running. She’s gone.

Adrian:Damn it!

Adrian turns in disgust, but then looks at the boy. He turns back to Nino.

Adrian:We gotta get him outta there.

Nino:We need some sort of leverage, go find…

As Nino is speaking, we see an explosion happen right next to them. They bothduck and look at it. Acting more urgently, Nino grabs Adrian and says:

Nino:We need leverage, go find something to jimmy under the car… a strong metal

pole… go!

Adrian nods and then runs off to find some sort of metal pole. He rummagesaround, and then finally finds a beam, but there is a dead guy on top of it. Adrianbegins to lift the body off and when he does, he starts to pick the beam up, but then we hear it… a really loud creaking noise. Adrian looks up and we see thebuilding, about 10 stories tall, is starting to lean further over the road and is about to collapse. Adrian tries to get the beam out, but it’s stuck. He stands up and thebuilding is now starting to fall. Pieces fall off and Adrian screams to Nino:



Adrian:Nino!!! GET THE HELL OUT!!! GET OUT OF THERE!

Nino looks up, but doesn’t move. He turns back to the boy and tries to get him free,but as he is doing this, the building is starting to completely collapse! Adrian beginsto run towards them all the while screaming for Nino to get out, but Nino is

determined to get the boy out. Just as Adrian is beginning to reach the area, we seethe top 4 floors of the building completely separate from the rest of the structureand the 4 floors, intact, fall towards the street. Nino looks up one last time and thenhe leans over the boy as if shielding him. Adrian stops and he watches what ishappening. The building falls… right on top of Nino and the boy. Adrian looks onhorrified as the shot moves into slow motion. As the building slams into the street we see a dust cloud rush from every direction and as it rushes towards Adrian wewatch his expression and the dust (in slow motion) slowly engulfs Adrian, whodoesn’t even shield himself… he just stares at where Nino was. As the cloud engulfs

Adrian, the camera cuts to:

-COMMERCIAL-

4) Int. Benefactor’s Boardroom. New York City, NY. Night.

The camera opens on a familiar scene with most of our team sitting around thegiant shiny boardroom table with Abby being projected onto the wall. Casey,Cynthia, Draven, Conor and Jeremy are seated around the table with Erik at thehead of the table and Cassandra standing by the door.

Erik:I’m so glad that you could make it on such short notice… but then again, that’s

what I’m paying you for (He smiles). Unfortunately, Captain Tagalog, Agent Rezekand Dr. Tesla won’t be joining us. In fact, Captain Tagalog will be out for a while

longer. He is out of the ICU and is stable, but he needs time to heal...

Jeremy:I don’t think that Nick will be joining us anymore either…

Jeremy slides the letter that Nick wrote to Erik in the previous episode over to Erik.He opens it and reads,” To: Mr. Jan Hanussen, I quit.” Erik closes the envelopeand looks very upset. He looks at Jeremy very angrily and in a loud voice says:

Erik:When did you know about this?!

Jeremy is a bit taken back and says:

Jeremy:



I uh… this morning, I went to his room… his door was open. He had the file thatHenry, the guy with one arm that we met… his folder on the bed. This note was on

his desk.

Erik:Henry? What?!

Jeremy: The man that Abby set us up with; to talk to us about the Philadelphia Experiment.

Erik looks dumbfounded. He stands up and slowly walks to the huge window behindhim that is overlooking the New York City night skyline. He calmly starts off:

Erik: The two of you helped Dr. Tesla and went to Philadelphia… did you inform

Cassandra of this?

Abby:

No.

Erik:(Still looking out the window with his back to them, calmly says) Jeremy, did you

inform me of this?

Jeremy:…no.

Erik turns around and quickly walks to the conference table and slams his handsdown as he looks at Jeremy with a death-stare and yells:

Erik:What the hell do you think I’m paying you for?!

Everyone looks a little stunned as this is the first time Erik has ever raised his voice.

Jeremy:He told me last night that we’d tell you today… but he wasn’t around. He left. I

didn’t know what to do…

Erik:What you do… what you do is you inform me of your every move as soon as

something happens!!!

Cassandra:Mr. Jan Hanussen, please… calm down… sit.

Erik, looking furious, looks at Cassandra and she gives him a stern look. Hecomplies and he sits. Calmly:

Erik:



From here on forward, all of you are to inform me of your travels and your events.Understand?

Abby, via video, nods yes. The rest of the room does the same.

Erik:

Jeremy, inform Cassandra of the details after the meeting. I want to know who andwhat happened in Philadelphia and everything that Dr. Tesla said to you.

Jeremy: Yes, sir.

Erik:Ms. Christina, I am to understand you were followed in Lithuania.

Casey: Yes, the man… well… he was shot. We got no information of who he was or why he

was following us, but this is serious. Velma was almost shot.

Erik:All of you are to be extra vigilant from now on, as I told Agent Rezek, you are all in

danger.

Conor:I analyzed the video feed from Tagalog’s shooting. After I cleared up the video I

realized that the shooter’s face still wouldn’t be identified. However, I did get this:

He slides a photo of the “symbol (look at the casting sheet)” to Draven. He passes it around the table.

Cynthia: That’s the same symbol we found with the Black Dahlia suspect, Red Manley. If hewas associated with Yvette Nikilov, then she should know what this symbol means…

Casey:I’ll call Velma and forward it to her.

Just then, Adrian comes into the room and just stares at Erik. The look that Adrian isgiving him is obvious, its anger and he wants to talk to Erik alone.

Erik:Everyone, meeting over.

Everyone gets up and walks out of the room leaving Adrian with Erik.

Erik:What is it, Agent Rezek?

Adrian:



They knew I was working for you. I’ve been suspended! You promised me I wouldn’tbe found out!

Erik:Well, when you promised Arthur Kensington 81 million dollars for his campaign, I

suspect you brought some attention to me, which in turn brought attention to

yourself…

Adrian:It was 18 million…

Erik looks away in thought, then he looks back at Adrian:

Erik:I must apologize; I have a touch of the dyslexia. Regardless, you drew attention to

me. Your suspension is partially your fault as well, Agent Rezek.

We hear from the doorway:

Cynthia:It’s the best thing that could have happened to you, Adrian…

Adrian spins around and looks at Cynthia with a look of anger and contempt.Cynthia smugly leans against the doorframe as the camera cuts back to Adrian andthen the red-toned quick cut beings:

5) FLASHBACK. Ext. Café. Boston, Massachusetts. Afternoon.

The camera opens on a beautiful woman (played by Jennifer Esposito) as she issitting at a table at a very quaint outdoor café wearing a sundress. It issummertime. She takes a drink of her iced tea and then as she puts it down, shesmiles. The camera pulls back and we see Adrian walk up to the table and he kissesher on the cheek. She smiles as she says:

Woman:Late, again!

Adrian:I’m really sorry, work… you know.

Woman: You need to work out some sort of arrangement with Kensington…

Adrian: The man is running for president… his schedule is my schedule.

Woman:I thought the Secret Service only protected the president.

Adrian:



Well, he’s a senator… they get us too when they run for president.

Woman:Like he’s going to beat Obama… What’s he even thinking?

She shows Adrian the newspaper. The date in the top left is “July 6th , 2012” and

the title of the headline is “Kensington in Shadow of Obama in Polls.” Adrianlooks at it and laughs.

Adrian: Yeah, well, the man is determined… enough about him.

Adrian looks fidgety and nervous. The woman notices this and takes Adrian’s handacross the table.

Woman:Adrian, calm down… she’s just my mother. She’s going to love you!

Adrian:Sorry, it’s just that I should have met her already; it’s been almost a year that we’ve

been together.

Woman:Almost a year?!

She looks pissed off and she rips her hand away from Adrian. He looks at her confused.

Woman:It’s a year today, you ass!

Adrian:Oh, I uh… I’m… I’m sorry.

She doesn’t say anything to him. She turns away.

Adrian:Come on, Jacklyn, I’m really sorry.

She still doesn’t say anything.

Adrian: You want me to beg you for forgiveness?

Adrian smiles, but she doesn’t. He cocks his head to the side and gives a smirk ashe gets down on his knees in the middle of the outdoor dining area. She looksaround and she looks embarrassed.

Jacklyn:Get up, you idiot… you’re embarrassing me!



Adrian takes her hand and then he lifts one leg up so that he’s only on one kneenow. Jacklyn’s eyes get huge and her jaw drops as she realizes what is going on.

Adrian holds the ring up and says:

Adrian:

Maybe this will make up for it.

He smiles and she goes ballistic as she shakes her head yes and begins to cry andshe grabs the ring off of him and puts it on her finger and holds it up to the light.The camera focuses on the ring as she holds it up and then we see someone walk into the background. The camera focuses on the background and we see itsCynthia. Jacklyn looks at her and then at Adrian as he is still kneeling.

Jacklyn:Adrian, I’d like you to meet my mother, Cynthia Brand!

Jeremy, still on one knee, looks up at Cynthia as she looks back at him and smiles.

He stands up and the two of them cordially shake hands. The camera focuses onCynthia as the red-toned quick cut cuts to:

6) END OF FLASHBACK. Int. Benefactor’s Boardroom. Night.

The camera is focused on Cynthia. Adrian turns back to the Benefactor.

Adrian: You know more than you told me about all of this, Erik.

Erik:I told you, this all leads to 2012…

Adrian: Yes, you said that, but how do you know this??

Erik looks at Adrian then looks down. Cynthia excuses herself from the doorway,but Erik says:

Erik: You may as well stay, Ms. Brand…

Cynthia turns and walks into the room closing the door behind her. Erik goes to thefar bookshelf and takes out a book. It’s “Brave New World” by “AldousHuxley.” He removes something from the book and goes to his seat and sits. He

puts on his reading glasses and looks at Cynthia and Adrian who are still standing.He just stares until they realize he wants them to sit down. They sit. He says:

Erik:My sister wrote this to me and it was delivered to me by her lawyer the day after…

she knew she was in danger and that her murder was inevitable.



Adrian:I uh… well…

Cynthia:I think what Adrian is trying to say is this: Are you sure that your sister wasn’t

missing a few chromosomes?

Erik, looking appalled at Cynthia’s accusation, simply says to her:

Erik:She was right about JFK and Ms. Short, was she not?

Cynthia shuts up and nods. Just then, Adrian’s cell phone rings. He answers and it’sVelma:

Velma:Adrian, you’re not going to believe this, but… The translator at the police station

earlier, the one who was questioning us about the murder of the gunman in Casey’s

room?

Adrian: Yeah?

Velma:Well, she called me and told me that they identified him… but, it’s not a name.

Adrian:Oh?

Velma:It’s a serial number. They found a computer chip in his hand. The translator gave

me a copy of the information on it so I sent it to Abby. She decoded it… thesignature on the encryption is a familiar one. It’s the same used by the United

States Federal Bureau of Investigation… the FBI. He’s one of yours.

Adrian looks pissed.Adrian:

Snider knew… he lied to my face. Did they send that information to the Bureau?

Velma:No, I told her to tell them to hold off, that I’d relay the information. You’re the only

agent that knows we know. Something else… the chip also had two otherschematics on it. One in Russian and one in German.

Cynthia looks at Erik, who somewhat smugly nods because those are two of thethreats that his sister talked about in the letter. The camera cuts to Adrian whotakes a deep breath and the camera cuts to:

7) Int. Adrian’s Car. Leaving New York City. Morning.

The camera opens on Adrian driving over the George Washington Bridge into New Jersey with the radio on and the announcer says:

Announcer:

Comin’ at ya with all the hits from the start of the Millennium for the retro-morningcommute…

The song “If U Seek Amy” by Britney Spears comes on the radio.( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-HYQHuBut8) Adrian looks at the radio andseems to be disinterested in the song and that’s when we see a hand from the

passenger’s seat reach over and turn the radio off.

Cynthia:If I’m going to be stuck in a car with you for four hours, I will not listen to that

garbage. It wasn’t good 10 years ago and it’s still not good today…

Adrian:Well, look at that! We actually agree on something…

Cynthia turns forward and rests her head on her hand as she looks miserable. Adrian looks at her and says:

Adrian: You didn’t have to come, you could have declined.

Cynthia:Why did you invite me along?

Adrian:If we have to work together, then I want it to be under good terms.

Cynthia: You screwed up good terms the day you made your decision and chose the wrong

thing.

Adrian: That’s not fair, Cynthia. I had my duties.

Cynthia:When you put that ring on my daughter’s finger, you had your duties there too…

Adrian looks away knowing she is right. He changes the topic.

Adrian:So why are you going to D.C. anyway?

Cynthia:I’m having lunch with Jacklyn.

Adrian rolls his eyes as the attempt to change the subject failed.

Adrian:How is she anyway?

Cynthia:I rarely talk to her since she moved to D.C…. to be with you. What a bad call that

was…

Adrian has a pained look of annoyance and regret on his face for asking Cynthiacome along. He reaches over and turns the radio back on as Britney is the lesser of two evils in the car. Neither of them touch the radio again and just endure the song.The camera cuts to:

8) Int. Cassandra’s Office. New York City, NY. Morning.

The camera opens as we see Cassandra sitting at her desk. She looks up and sees

Jeremy walking through the door and she jumps out of her seat. She smiles at him,but you can tell she is upset. She walks over to him and gives him a hug. He hugsback, but seems confused.

Jeremy:(Laughing) What’s this all about?

Cassandra: You want to sit down? You may need to…

Jeremy:Uh, the last time you told me that I needed to sit, it was in prison… and that was

horrible news.

Cassandra:Unfortunately, so is this. Sit.

Jeremy sits and he isn’t happy about it. He looks worried as Cassandra sits on her desk in front of him.

Cassandra: There’s no easy way to say this, so I’m just going to say it. (She takes a deep

breath) I had a blood sample analyzed… your blood sample. The technicians foundsomething. They found something that’s less than desirable.

Jeremy:Blood sample? I never gave you a blood sample.

Cassandra:I know, but… I got one. (She hastily looks away and then continues)

Cassandra:



Jeremy, you have a rare disease. It’s called Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease.

Jeremy looks confused and he just stares at her.

Cassandra: Typically people in their 50s or 60s get CDJ, but it’s been documented that people

from the age of 15 can get it. Typically, however, anyone under 50 who has itgenerally inherited it through a gene deformation.

Jeremy:What the hell are you talking about? I feel fine.

Cassandra:We caught it early on. Have you felt… confused or misplaced lately? Have you lost

things or can’t remember things?

Jeremy:No.

Cassandra:Have you had any sort of delusional thoughts or feelings? Have you seen anything

or heard anything that isn’t there?

Jeremy:No, seriously Ms. Millerick, you’re freaking me out.

Cassandra:I know and I’m sorry. (She thinks for a moment then closes her eyes and just says it

:) CJD is a rapidly progressive dementia, leadingto memory loss, personality changes and hallucinations. It’s basically Alzheimer’s on

steroids. It only happens to one in a million people a year… unfortunately for you,you are that one.

Jeremy stands up and walks to the window. He looks out and there is silence in theroom. Cassandra is about to say something, but he turns around furious andscreams:

Jeremy: You find me in prison, swear to help me, steal a blood sample then tell me I’m losing

my mind?! Are you freakin’ kidding me?! You’re all insane! I’m not the one goingcrazy, Ms. Millerick… you are and so is that old bastard who’s chasing spies and

people who claim to time travel!!! This whole thing was ridiculous; I shouldn’t haveever come to New York… I’m done. Done with all of you!!!

Jeremy storms out and as he goes he knocks over a vase. He looks down at it andthen to Cassandra like he’s sorry for breaking it, but then he just turns and walksout. The camera cuts to:

Adrian:Hun, I told you to reschedule that. It’s the day before the elections; you knew that

he’d need me.

Jacklyn:

Wow… this is how it’s always going to be isn’t it? Your job takes precedent over us.

Adrian: The man could be our next president, Jackie… come on… this is bigger than me or

you.

There is silence over the phone. Adrian cringes because he knows what he just saidwas the wrong thing.

Jacklyn:Maybe my mother was right about you…

With that, she hangs up. Just then, we see a limo pull up to the entrance of thehotel. Adrian does a sweep of the crowd looking for anything suspicious. As thecamera pans around the crowd, we see a very familiar face: Nicolas Tesla Senior,Nick’s father! Adrian continues looking and then gives a signal to the Secret Serviceman that opens the door to the limo. He opens the door and we see Kensington get out of the car and he waves to the crowd. He begins walking towards the hotel ashe shakes hands. The Secret Service rushes him towards the entrance of the hotel,but that’s when we hear a BANG!!! The crowd scatters and the Secret Service break into tactical mode and take out their guns and begin scouring the crowd. Adriangrabs onto Kensington and pushes him towards the hotel, but that’s when Adrianspots the gunman. It isn’t anyone we know, but Adrian pulls his gun out and aims at him. The gunman manages to get one more bullet out, and as he fires, Adrian divesin front of Kensington and pushes him to the ground! We see the bullet strike

Adrian in the leg (this explains the bullet wound that the body scanner at the FBIbuilding found in Adrian’s leg when he was scanned). Adrian falls to the ground andthe gunman escapes. We also see Nicolas Tesla Sr. turn and walk away down thestreet. Adrian grabs his leg as the Secret Service rush Kensington into the hotel.The camera focuses on Adrian holding his leg as the camera red-toned quick cutsto:

11) END OF FLASHBACK. Ext. FDR Memorial. Washington, D.C. Noon.

The camera opens on Adrian as he and Kensington are now sitting on a bench and Adrian is rubbing his leg where he was shot. We see Secret Service all aroundguarding the two. Kensington is looking at them and says:

Kensington: You know, I don’t think any one of these guys would actually take a bullet for me.

Adrian:I’m just sorry we never caught the guy who shot at you…



Kensington:Well, that happened a month before the 2012 ordeal… I guess he got lost once all

that happened.

Adrian: That’s actually why I’m here, Arty. I’ve been suspended…

Kensington:What, why?! What happened?

Adrian:I’ve been doing a little work on the side about 2012… and Snider didn’t like it.

Kensington:Doesn’t surprise me, that guy’s got his fingers on so many honey combs he can’t

tell which one the bees are stinging him from.

Adrian looks at him like that was the stupidest thing he’s ever heard. Kensington

chuckles and says:

Kensington:What I mean is that guy is so involved with so much crap that I don’t think he

remembers who he’s working for.

Adrian: You’re saying his alliances maybe elsewhere?

Kensington:No, I didn’t say that. (He looks at Adrian and comically nods “yes” very

enthusiastically)

Adrian: That’s what I thought… hey, have you ever seen this before?

Adrian pulls out the upside down triangle badge he got from the gunman inLithuania. He hands it over.

Kensington:I uh… no. No, Adrian, I never saw it.

Adrian: You’re not a good liar, Arty… we both know your lack of skill for lying is what made

you lose in the past two elections.

Kensington looks at Adrian and says rather bluntly:

Kensington:Alright… yes. I’ve seen this… but more-so in rumors around the senate offices.

Adrian:



What is it?

Kensington:It’s the badge, supposedly for a super secret FBI division. (He pauses and looks at

Adrian) Ever hear of the men in black?

Adrian:(Adrian questions with an unbelieving skeptical tone) The UFO cover-up guys?

Kensington: Yep, but… I think it was more than just UFOs. I think they were more like the

government’s insurance policy on top secret materials. Anyone who would stumbleonto something, the men in black would show up at their door.

Adrian: You’re saying this is a real thing? These guys actually existed?

Kensington:

Well, I don’t know if they were the men in black, exactly… but yeah, of coursesomething like that existed… it had to.

Adrian: You think it still does?

Kensington:Where’d you get this, Adrian?

Adrian:From a guy who tried to kill me in Lithuania while I was researching the JFK files.

Kensington’s expression is surprised as he says:

Kensington: JFK, huh? Well, I think you just answered your own question.

Adrian:It does still exist… and Snider is part of it.

Kensington:Be careful, Adrian… Snider is a powerful man… you don’t want to mess with him. He

could make you disappear.

Adrian nods like he knows that is exactly true. The two men sit back and watch thePotomac as the camera cuts to:

12) Int. Abby’s House. Silicon Valley, California. Morning.

The camera opens on Abby as she is sitting at her computer going over theinformation from the Man in Black who was shot to death in Lithuania. It looks likeshe’s decoding something when there is a knock on her door. She looks at the door



suspiciously as she walks towards it. She opens the eye-slot and when she does thisshe sees a man’s face with black sunglasses on. Without a word, he reachesthrough the eye-slot and drops something inside of her door. Abby jumps back andlooks at the little black device that was dropped in. She backs away from it as it starts to light up and we hear an extremely loud high-pitched frequency and thenwe see all of her computers flicker and then completely shut off. She turns and

looks at her computers and looks devastated. She runs back to the door and swingsit open to see a car peel out and down the road. Abby just stares as the car speedsaway and the camera cuts to:

13) Int. Adrian’s Car. Washington, D.C. Afternoon.

Adrian is driving along as his phone rings. He projects who’s calling onto hiswindshield. It’s Jacklyn and Cynthia is next to her at a restaurant. Adrian looks very taken back.

Adrian: Jacklyn… wow.

Jacklyn:My mother told me that you two are back in each other’s lives.

Adrian:I’m sure she did…

Jacklyn:She also told me how you tried to reconcile with her by driving her down here with

you. That was nice, Adrian…

Adrian: Thank you, I think.

Jacklyn:If you’re still in D.C., I was thinking that maybe we could catch up over dinner.

Adrian:I… don’t know, Jackie…

Jacklyn:Come on, my mother is totally opposed to it.

Adrian:In that case, I’d meet you at the Hendrix around 8. How’s that?

Jacklyn smiles and Adrian’s projected screen splits into two with Agent Foster on theother side. Adrian says:

I got to go Jackie, see you later tonight. (He switches over to Foster). Hey man, whatyou got for me?

Agent Foster:I did what you asked, Adrian… and I don’t like it. You owe me.

Adrian:Sure, shoot, what is it?

Agent Foster:Snider has a meeting tonight. New York City in the DUMBO area of Brooklyn.

Adrian:In DUMBO? That’s a sort of seedy area, isn’t it? How’d you find this out?

Agent Foster:Let’s just say that Agent Rousseau from the tech. department owed me one.

Adrian:Rousseau, the woman with the eye that…

Agent Foster:(Interrupting and looking ashamed) Yeah, buddy… that’s why you owe me. I gotta

go, we’ll keep in touch.

Foster hangs up and Adrian looks happy about the news. He says to himself:

Adrian:What are you up to, Snider??

The camera beings to red-toned quick cut to:

14) FLASHBACK. Int. Director General Snider’s Office. Washington D.C.Day.

Adrian is sitting in the chair across from Snider’s desk as Snider walks into the roomand sits down in his chair. He looks at Adrian then opens Adrian’s Secret Servicefiles as well as his FBI files. He says to Adrian:

Snider:I understand you transferred to the FBI from the Secret Service after a leg injury

sustained from protecting Senator Kensington.

Adrian: That’s correct.

Snider:Shows you’re determined and loyal… seeing as how my dog’s life is more valuable

than Kensington’s.



Snider laughs and Adrian follows in a rather fake way.

Snider:A transfer from the Secret Service to the FBI is rather backwards. You must be very

good at what you do to have started out as Secret Service.

Adrian:I like to think that I am.

Snider:I also see here that you were active in the FBI during the events that took place two

months ago.

Adrian:Also correct.

Snider:I’ve looked over your files and heard stellar recommendations about you, Agent

Rezek. I’m sure you heard that the Bureau is opening up a 2012 division to get tothe bottom of what happened that day. Because of your loyalty, devotion and

outright determination I have scouted you out.

Adrian:So, I’m here because you want me to join this division?

Snider:No, I want you to head up the division. Well, you would be co-head with two others

for diplomatic reasons, but yes… you would be in charge.

Adrian looks stunned.

Adrian:Sir, I wasn’t expecting this at all.

Snider: You do realize that you will be working with highly confidential matters. You can’t

talk about work with anyone, including your wife.

Adrian:Oh, it’s fiancé. We’ve pushed the date back indefinitely after I was shot… then well,

2012 happened.

Snider:Regardless, I want you to know this will take a toll on your personal life, but it’s a

sacrifice we must all make to protect this country… do you understand?

Adrian: Yes sir.

Snider:



So, you accept then?

Adrian:Fully, sir. I accept.

Adrian stands up and he and Snider shake hands as the red-toned quick cut cuts to:

15) END OF FLASH. Int. Benefactor’s Office. New York City, NY. Afternoon.

The camera is focused on Erik as he is looking through the files that Jeremy found inNick’s room before Nick quit. He focuses on a photo of Henry Galveston, the one-armed informant who exploded with his car. Benefactor looks somewhat perplexedby the photo. Just then, Cassandra walks in.

Cassandra: You wanted to see me, sir?

Erik:

Yes… have you told him?

Cassandra: Jeremy? Yes… he didn’t take it so well.

Erik: That much is expected. He’ll be back, I’m sure of it.

Cassandra:Is that all?

Erik:No. I haven’t taken this quitting business that Dr. Tesla pulled very lightly. We need

him on this team, Cassandra… you know that.

Cassandra:I do.

Erik:His involvement with 2012 is one of our biggest leads. I want you to set up a

meeting with our mutual friend.

Cassandra: You mean…

Erik: Yes. I know it’s risky, but… do it.

Cassandra nods. Draven walks into the office.

Erik:Ah… Mr. Draven. Cassandra, you may leave us now.



Cassandra walks out and Draven takes a seat and crosses his legs.

Draven:Obviously something bad has happened or you wouldn’t have called me.

Erik:Indeed. Someone attacked Ms. Mercer in her home earlier today. She’s fine,

however, her computers and all her information she has collected for us is not.

Draven:Someone sent her a virus?

Erik:No, it was a little more physical than that. Someone set off an electromagnetic

pulse device inside her home. The EMP wiped out everything.

Draven:

Someone knows she’s working with us. I have to say, Mr. Jan Hanussen, everyonebeing attacked only days after you get us together… it’s odd.

Conor:I agree.

They turn and see Conor has let himself in. Erik ignores him and says to Draven:

Erik:I want you to go to California and retrieve Ms. Mercer. You may find out that it isn’tas easy a task as it sounds… Ms. Mercer is a recluse. She rarely leaves her home.

Draven:What do you suggest I do, drag her out?

Conor:Drug her… throw her on a plane and get back. It’s not difficult.

Erik looks at Conor disapprovingly.

Erik:No! You most certainly will not do that. She needs to come willingly or we are at riskof losing her like we lost Dr. Tesla… which we can’t afford to do. Cassandra has the

details for you in her office, Mr. Draven.

Draven nods and he excuses himself. Conor walks over to Erik’s desk and puts hishands on the edge as he leans over and blatantly states:

Conor:We have a traitor in our midst.

Erik:



Excuse me?

Conor:As moronic as Simon Draven is, he had a point. We’ve been attacked on a dailybasis by someone who’s finding out everything about us rather quickly. Tagalog

being shot, Henry Galveston being blown up, the man in Lithuania following Casey

and now Abby being attacked. How could all this happen so quickly?

Erik: You’re suggesting that one of the team members is working for someone else?

Conor: Yes.

Erik:I hand selected and pruned these people, Conor… you know that.

Conor:

Well, your sister did the same with the people she worked with… and look wherethat got her.

Erik slams his hand on the desk and angrily says:

Erik:How dare you speak about…

Conor:I’m just stating the facts.

Erik thinks. He says:

Erik:Who do you suggest?

Conor:Adrian Rezek. We both know the FBI is looking for the same thing we are. His loyaltyto them has cost him his fiancé and his family. What makes you think he would give

all of that up for 500 thousand dollars?

Erik:Agent Rezek… I don’t think so.

Conor:Well, he’s heading to Brooklyn tonight to check up on his superior, Snider. He called

me and asked me to go along… and you bet your ass I’m going along.

Erik: You? Why would he ask you?

Conor:



Precisely, he most likely suspects that I suspect him… he’s going to try to provehimself. I’ll let you know what I find out.

Conor turns to walk out of the room, but Erik flatly says:

Erik:

I know about you and Cassandra.

Conor stops dead in his tracks, but doesn’t turn around.

Erik:I don’t think your mother would be too keen about the two of you.

Erik almost says this all in a threatening way. Conor turns around.

Conor:Well, she’s not here, now is she?

Conor turns and walks out. Erik watches him go as he sinks back into his plushleather chair. Cut to:

16) Ext. Seedy Warehouse Area. Brooklyn, New York. Night.

The camera opens on Adrian as he is sitting in his black sedan with binocularslooking at a warehouse a block away. The camera cuts to Conor who is sitting in the

passenger seat. You can sort of tell there has been a silence between them for awhile.

Conor:So…

Adrian:I know what you’re thinking… I asked you to come because of what Casey told me

about you…

Conor:Only good things, I hope.

Adrian looks at Conor like “no.”

Adrian:She said you were very helpful with the Black Dahlia case… that you knew your

stuff.

Conor:Oh.

Adrian:She said you are a conspiracy theorist… and I thought you could help me out with

this one.



Conor:Oh?

Adrian: Yeah… ever hear of the men in black?

Conor busts out laughing. He seemingly can’t control his laughter. He looks at Adrian who is looking at him dead seriously. Conor abruptly stops:

Conor:Oh, you’re serious.

Adrian: Yes, very.

Conor throws the badge at Conor. Conor looks at it and says:

Conor: This is your proof?

Adrian: The man who was following us had it on him… he dropped it. I think he was

affiliated with a secret faction of the FBI and that Snider’s a part of it. That’s whywe’re here.

Conor:Look… of all conspiracies, the men in black is one of them with the least proof…

Besides, you think they’d just meet in an old warehouse in Brooklyn?

Adrian, looking through the binoculars hands them to Conor. Conor takes them andwe see what he’s seeing.

Adrian: That’s Director General Snider walking into the old warehouse in Brooklyn…

Conor watches as Snider gets out of a vehicle, looks around, then walks into an oldboat warehouse. Convinced, Conor says with conviction:

Conor:Let’s go.

Adrian:Hold up… we can’t just bust in there. We don’t even have backup.

Conor just looks at Adrian and then gets out of the car and starts to run towards thewarehouse. Adrian closes his eyes in disappointment as he swings open the door and follows.

Adrian:



Son of a bitch…

The two men are outside of the warehouse and walk to a window and look in.There’s no one in there. The building is completely empty. Adrian turns to Conor and says:

Adrian:Where’d they go?

Conor:Maybe a basement?

They hear a crack behind them and Adrian turns around first. There’s a mandressed like all the other MIB’s (Men in Black) we’ve seen so far standing behindhim. The MIB punches Adrian in the face and he falls, but quickly, Conor pulls out agun and shoots the MIB and he falls to the ground and convulses. Adrian, laying onthe ground, sits up and says:

Adrian:What’d you do?!

Conor:Sent 3 million volts through his body… I never understood why you guys don’t carry

these. Instead of killing the guy, you just stun the crap out of him and then canquestion him later… which is exactly what we’re gonna do. Get up, pansy, grab his

legs…

Adrian, looking rather surprised at Conor’s handling of the situation, gets up andthen appears to be impressed. Adrian goes for the man’s legs as the camera cutsto:

17) Int. Dark Room. Location Unknown. Time Unknown.

The camera opens on a man (Played by Eric Winters) as he is sitting in a chair tiedup. Suddenly, the lights turn on and we see Conor and Adrian standing in the corner of the empty room. The man, who is tied up, looks at them with hatred.

Adrian:Who are you?

The man says nothing. Conor asks this time:

Conor:He asked you a question, who are you?

Again, no answer.

Conor:



I can see this is going nowhere fast.

Adrian:What was the meeting with Snider about?

Nothing.

Adrian:Who were the other men walking into the building?

Conor: You better start giving some answers or this is going to get very ugly…

The man looks at Conor and gives him a very dirty look. Conor rushes up to him and punches the guy in the face. Adrian looks concerned. Conor grabs the guy and getsin his face and says:

Conor:

Who are you and who do you work for?!

Adrian rolls his eyes.

Adrian: This isn’t a Bond movie, Vith… (Adrian walks to the man) This can be over really fast

if you just give us what we’re looking for, but I know you aren’t going to do that… You’re government. Trust me; I know what it’s like. You’re afraid you will sabotageyour agency or put the nation at risk. I’m FBI, if you didn’t already know that… I’vebeen through all the drills and training in case I was taken into a hostage situationlike this. I know what they tell you to do… keep quiet. Well, this isn’t a drill… and if you keep quiet, it’s only going to last longer. Now, I’ll ask you again. Who are you?

Man:My name is Philus, Simon… but people call me Si.

Conor says:

Conor:Ok, good…

Adrian:Si Philus… seriously, man… syphilis?

Conor gets it now and it pisses him off even more. He kicks the guys chair over withhim in it and starts kicking him in the gut! Adrian pulls Conor off and says:

Adrian:Cool it, Vith!!! Step back, now!!

Conor steps back. Adrian picks the guy up off the ground and sits his chair upright.The guy is bleeding from the mouth now. Adrian pulls out the badge with the upside



down triangle and shows it to the guy sitting in the chair. The guy looks a littlesurprised, but barely as he tries to maintain his blank composure.

Adrian: This look familiar to you? I took it off one of your buddies… he’s dead now. I know

you’re a man in black and I know all about the agency’s involvement with 2012.

(Adrian is bluffing)

Man:It doesn’t matter, Agent… or should I say, Suspended Agent Rezek. You won’t findanything out. The answers you seek can only be answered by one of us… and we

won’t talk.

Conor:Oh, you’ll talk.

Conor pulls out a syringe and he sticks the man in the arm with it. Conor pushes the plunger and the man begins to scream in agonizing pain! Adrian turns around and

knocks the needle out of Conor’s hand. Adrian then screams:Adrian:

I told you to step back!!!

Adrian throws Conor to the floor then stands over him continuously punching him inthe face as the red-toned quick cut cuts to:

18) FLASHBACK. Ext. Landing Pad. Jarvis Island, US Pacific Territory.Night.

The camera cuts to Adrian as he gets off of a helicopter and a man greets him. They shake hands as the military man yells to Adrian over the sound of the blades:

Military Man:Welcome to Jarvis Island detainee camp, Agent Rezek… they’re waiting for you

inside!!!

The camera cuts to Adrian as he walks into a heavily guarded building with barbedwire, cameras, dogs and gunmen all around. He walks down a hall and into a roomwith a two-way mirror. He looks through the mirror to a small room with a manstrapped to a chair and a table full of strange devices next to him.

Adrian:I was told this man has information regarding the technology used in the 2012

attacks…

Military Man: Yes… out of all the detainees here because of what they know about 2012, this is

the one who knows the most, but he won’t cooperate. He hasn’t said a word.

Adrian:



I see you have it all set up to get the answers out of him… (He looks at the tablewith the devices)

Military Man:It’s come to that, yes sir.

Adrian: That’s illegal, captain…

Military Man:Nothing leaves Jarvis Island, sir… whatever needs to be done to prevent this from

happening again.

Adrian:Open the door.

Adrian goes into the room and we see the man strapped to the chair (Played by David de Lautour). Adrian says to him:

Adrian: Jackson Webber? We have to talk…

Jackson spits on Adrian. Adrian wipes the spit off and says this very slowly anddirectly:

Adrian: You know something… and one way or another, I’m going to get it out of you…

Jackson proceeds to spit on Adrian again. Adrian nods as we see his hand reach for a strange torture device on the table. The camera cuts to:

19) FLASHBACK CONTINUED. Interior. Adrian’s Townhouse. Washington,D.C. Day.

Adrian walks into the door of his townhouse and Jacklyn rushes up to him and shekisses him hard.

Jacklyn:Where’ve you been?! I tried calling your cell, but it said you were out of service.

Adrian:I was… somewhere that doesn’t have any towers…

Jacklyn:Well, I’m glad you’re home! I just made my mother’s famous tomato sauce and I

want you to try it!

Adrian:Maybe later, babe… I really just want to shower.



There is something off about Adrian as he walks up the stairs of his townhouse and Jacklyn notices. The camera cuts to Adrian as he is standing in the shower with hishands against the wall. Suddenly, he busts out crying and he slides down into asitting position. We see Jacklyn come in and see him through the glass. She rushesover and opens the door to the shower and bends down next to him as she says:

Jacklyn:Adrian! Are you alright?! What happened?!

Adrian just looks at her and grabs her for a hug. He says while crying:

Adrian:I did something bad…

Jacklyn looks upset and she says:

Jacklyn: That’s it… you have to quit… you have to quit this job…

The camera pulls back as Jacklyn hugs Adrian close on the shower floor. Thecamera red-toned quick cuts to:

20) END OF FLASHBACK. Int. Dark Room. Location Unknown. TimeUnknown.

The camera cuts back to Adrian as he relentlessly hits Conor. He suddenly snapsout of it and he stands up. Conor lays on the floor bloody and angry.

Conor:What the hell?!! Get the hell away from me!!!

Adrian stumbles backwards and goes back to the tied up MIB who is screaming inagony. Adrian turns around and asks Conor:

Adrian:What’d you give him?

Conor:I gave him an injection that induces nerve stimulant… it wears off in a minute…

damn it.

Adrian:(To MIB) Tell me right now what your agency is protecting!

MIB:(Still in pain and sweating) It doesn’t matter! They know where I am now… they’re

coming!

Adrian thinks for a minute then grabs the MIB’s hands. He feels around them and hefeels something under the skin. He takes out his pocket knife and he cuts into the



MIB’s hand. He finds what he’s looking for; a microchip like the one Velma told himabout in the MIB from Lithuania. Adrian throws it on the floor and steps on it.

Adrian: They’re not coming now…

MIB:(Defiantly) Doesn’t matter… you need one of us to take you where you’re lookingfor. You could capture a thousand of us and none of us would ever tell you a damn

thing.

Adrian:I’ll take my chances.

Adrian turns back to Conor and as he does this, we see the MIB’s hand wassomewhat freed when Adrian cut the chip out of it. He manages to get it completely free and he reaches into his suit-coat pocket and pulls something out then pops it inhis mouth. Adrian sees him put something in his mouth and rushes over and shoves

his hand into the MIB’s mouth. The MIB smiles and says:

MIB: Too late.

At that same moment, we see the MIB convulse then his eyes roll back in his head.He took a suicide pill. Adrian shakes his head and looks extremely upset as he goesto the door and just walks out leaving Conor there alone. Conor gets up and walksover to the MIB and takes his cell phone out of his pocket. He also finds an upsidedown triangle badge in his pocket. Conor wipes the blood off his mouth as he looksback towards the door with an extreme look of anger on his face. The camera cutsto:

21) Ext. Time Square. New York City, NY. Night.

The camera opens on Jeremy as he is walking through the crowd holding Beth’s, thewoman he met in the previous episode, hand. She looks very happy, but Jeremy doesn’t look himself.

Beth:What’s wrong?

Jeremy:Oh… (He snaps out of it) Nothing’s wrong. I just… I’m tired.

Beth: You want to go back to the hotel? I guess it is sorta late… and I should walk Foxy

Brown.

Jeremy laughs.

Jeremy:

Beth:About 2 years now… I moved here from my nowhere town in Indiana… You know,big city, big dreams… wanting to be an actress and all, this was the place to be!

(She says with a sunny disposition)

Jeremy:I’ve been here for a few days and I still can’t get over this place. It’s insane!

Jeremy looks excited as he says it. He decides to say it again as he stands in themiddle of the road and screams while throwing his hands up:

Jeremy: THIS CITY IS INSANE!!!

Beth laughs and she grabs his hand before a car plows into him.

Beth: You’re crazy!!

Jeremy looks down and thinks.

Jeremy:Maybe I am… (He turns to Beth and grabs her hands) Let’s do something nuts… I

want to do something totally crazy…

Beth:Oh? Like what?!

Jeremy:I don’t know… let’s… let’s go skydiving! I always wanted to do that! Or… how about

base jumping, I heard that’s more dangerous… or how about…

Beth looks at him strangely as he is being very erratic and he is talking extremely quickly. She interrupts:

Beth:…or we could just go home… Come on, I think you’ve had too much excitement for

one day.

Jeremy:No… no, let’s go get a drink.

Beth:I’d rather just…

As Beth says this, Jeremy looks behind her and in the distance he spots somethingthat grabs his interest. He looks harder and we see he’s looking at a man who is



walking through the crowd with his back to us. The camera zooms in and the manturns around as if checking to see if anyone is following him, he looks anxious.That’s when we see who it is; it’s Henry Galveston!!! The camera quickly flashes tothe previous scene in the last episode where Henry is fumbling for his keys andthen gets into his car that explodes. Jeremy’s expression turns to shock as he isnow completely ignoring Beth and pushes past her as he crosses the street and

doesn’t even seem to notice that oncoming traffic is about to hit him. Henry turnsthe corner and Jeremy begins to run after him pushing people out of the way.

Jeremy gets to the corner and turns it, but there is no one there. He looks harder and sees a man walking away so Jeremy runs up to him, grabs him and turns himaround! The man isn’t Henry, though. The man says:

Man:Hey, pal! Get your hands off me!

Jeremy:I’m… I’m sorry… I thought you were someone else…

Jeremy looks totally confused and still surprised. Beth comes up behind him andsays:

Beth: Jeremy! What’s wrong with you!? You almost got yourself killed!

Jeremy is still looking around for Henry, but Beth grabs his face and looks into hiseyes.

Beth: Jeremy! What’s gotten into you?!

Jeremy:I… I don’t know…

Beth:Come on… let’s go back to the hotel…

Beth grabs him and drags him back towards Time Square. As they’re walking away Jeremy turns his head back still looking for Henry. The camera cuts to:

22) Interior. Cassandra’s Office. New York City, NY. Morning.

Cassandra is sitting at her desk looking at a photo of her and Conor together. Shedoesn’t look too happy as she looks at the photo. There is a knock on her door andwe see Jeremy walk in very slowly and somewhat shyly. She places the photo back into her drawer and she stands up.

Cassandra: Jeremy… I wasn’t expecting to see you again…



Jeremy:I… I’m sorry for the way I acted yesterday.

Cassandra:No, I understand.

Jeremy looks really upset and Cassandra rushes over to him and hugs him. As they hug he says:

Jeremy:How long do I have?

Cassandra:I don’t know.

They end the hug and she grabs his shoulders as she looks him in the eye and says:

Cassandra:We need to get you to the labs to see what we can do to help you.

Jeremy nods.

Cassandra:What made you change your mind?

Jeremy:I saw something last night… someone. Someone who was definitely not there. You

said symptoms of this CDJ were hallucinations. Well, I had one… I thought I sawHenry Galveston, but I couldn’t have. I watched him blow up.

Cassandra:I see.

She turns and goes back to her desk. She looks up a phone number and says tohim:

Cassandra:We’ll get you checked out Jeremy. We’ll do everything we can to help you. Ok?

Jeremy nods, but he doesn’t look too confident. The camera cuts to:

23) Int. Abby’s House. Silicon Valley, California. Morning.

The camera opens on Abby as she is tearing apart her computer systems. We hear a knock on the door and her eyes dart to the door. She quickly gets up and looks for something and then she picks up a book-end and slowly makes her way to the door as she says in a paranoid tone:

Abby:



Who’s there?! I got a weapon!!!

Voice:It’s me, Draven. Simon Draven…

She opens the eye slot and sure enough, it’s Draven. She opens the door and he

walks in. He looks around and you can tell by his look that he wasn’t expecting sucha dismal house. He looks at her as he says:

Draven: You can put that down now…

She puts it down and says:

Abby:What are you doing here?

Draven:

Erik didn’t tell you? I’m here to bring you back to New York.

Abby looks like she had no idea about this. She sits the bookend down and shethinks. She then begins to shake her head no:

Abby:No… I’m not going anywhere. I can’t go anywhere.

Draven:Ms. Mercer, you aren’t safe here… I mean, you think you can properly assault

someone with a plastic book-holder. You can’t be here alone.

Abby:I can take care of myself… (She says that in a very disbelieving way)

Draven:I’m sure you can, but it would make all of us more comfortable if you’d just come

with me.

Abby:I thought you were supposed to be here last night.

Draven:I had a few things to take care of before I came… wait, I thought you didn’t know I

was coming…

Abby:Oh… well, I did.

Draven:How?



Abby:I sort of… hacked into Cassandra’s phone using my phone…

Draven: You can do that?!

Abby: You’d be surprised what I can do.

Abby says that in a very serious and almost ruthless way. Draven is taken back alittle.

Draven:Well, here I had you pegged for a nice girl… come on, Abby… get some of your stuff

together.

Abby:What don’t you understand about this? I can’t leave! My sister is here!

Draven:Oh? I’m sure she would understand…

Abby:She doesn’t understand anything!! She’s mentally ill and it’s my fault!

Abby breaks down and Draven grabs a hold of her. He holds her as Abby loses it.The camera cuts to:

24) Ext. New York City Street. Morning.

The camera opens on Adrian as he walks down the street wearing the same thingas the night before. He looks a bit lost in thought as he looks into the window of acake shop and sees a wedding cake sitting there. Just as he does this, his phonerings and he looks at it. It’s Jacklyn. Suddenly, he realizes that he forgot about her and he closes his eyes knowing he is an idiot.

Adrian:I’m so sorry…

Jacklyn:Save it. I don’t know why I thought it would be a good idea to see you.

Adrian:It’s not that… I just had a huge break on this case and…

Jacklyn:A huge break. I sat at the restaurant last night for two hours… it’s always a huge

break, Adrian. You’ll never change. You have been and always will be the man whoputs his work before himself. I pity you, Adrian… I really do. Goodbye.



Jacklyn hangs up. Adrian looks like he’s at an all time low as the red-toned quick cut cuts to:

25) FLASHBACK. Int. Church. Providence, RI. Afternoon.

The camera cuts to Jacklyn and she’s wearing a wedding dress. She is dialing her

phone and we see Cynthia looking at one of the placeholders for the reception. It reads, “Adrian & Jacklyn July 6th , 2013.” Cynthia crumples the placeholder inher hand as Jacklyn reaches Adrian on her phone. The camera cuts to Adrian andhe’s wearing his tux as he walks down a long hallway.

Jacklyn:Where are you?!

Adrian:I’m going to be about an hour late… maybe two.

Jacklyn:

What?! Are you kidding?! You’re going to be late for your own damn wedding?!

Adrian:We got a huge break, Jacklyn! Seriously, this could be the one!

Jacklyn:Unbelievable.

Adrian:I know, all my work may have paid off…

Jacklyn:No, you are unbelievable. Adrian, either you get here right now… or…

Adrian:(He stops walking) Or what?

Jacklyn:I think you know… I can’t do this anymore. I can’t watch you kill yourself physically,

mentally… emotionally. Either you be here within the hour or don’t bother.

Cynthia is in the background watching as Jacklyn tears up. The camera cuts to Adrian who is standing against the wall and after a few moments he finally says:

Adrian:I’ll be there as soon as I can. I love you.

Jacklyn doesn’t say anything. She just hangs up the phone and turns to Cynthia whohugs her. The camera now cuts to Adrian as he composes himself then walks into adoorway. Agent Foster is in the room already as Adrian says to him:

Adrian:



What you got?

Agent Foster:She’s somehow connected with the underground group we uncovered a month agothat built some sort of electronic code that was capable of taking out an entire city’s

power, cell phones batteries… everything. The last guy we got gave her initials as

A.M.M. Well, she fits it and when we searched her home, it was nothing butelectronic equipment and extremely advanced computers and software. I think

she’s our girl, but she’s not talking.

Adrian:What have you tried?

Agent Foster:We gave her that new experimental drug, amobarbital… it’s like sodium pentathol in

that it’s a truth serum, but this one has more highly effective statistics.

Adrian:

Has she talked at all since on it?

Agent Foster:No… and she’s beginning to show the side effects…

Adrian:Which are?

Agent Foster:She’s seeming to lose her sense of reality… slipping into a catatonic state. The

doctor said if we continue, it could be permanent, but that decision is totally up toyou.

Adrian nods and he flips a switch on the wall which raises some blinds showing atwo-way window. As the blinds rise, we see who is sitting in the chair, its Abby’ssister, April Mercer! Adrian looks at her and says:

Adrian:If she’s our only connection, then do it. Continue the drugs…

The camera cuts to April who looks blank, but aware of what’s going on around her.She looks scared. The red-toned quick cut cuts to:

26) Int. Italian Café. Little Italy, New York City, NY. Noon.

The camera opens on Erik Jan Hanussen as he takes a sip from his cappuccino. Hesits it down and says:

Erik: This was very risky, but I found it completely necessary to meet with you. Nicolas

has quit the team and has seemingly disappeared… I’ve tried to track him, but oncehe found out about his relation to Nikola Tesla he vanished… with good reason, I



suppose. I think you understand the gravity of him leaving… we need him back. You’re the only one who can help me.

The camera does a 180 and it is revealed that he is speaking to Nicolas Tesla Sr.,Nick’s father who he thinks is dead! He looks very serious as he says:

Nicolas: Yes, you need him back… most definitely. Nick is a stubborn boy, in that I can sayhe takes after me. If you want him back you need to let him decide to come back onhis own. You can’t force him. The more you pursue him, the more he will resist. You

need to entice him back.

Erik:How do you suggest I do that?

Nicolas: You offer him something that he is looking for. I assure you he is keeping track of your team and their investigations. You just need to plant something that will spark

his interest.

Erik:Such as?

Nicolas:Agent Rezek has caught on to the men in black, yes?

Erik: Yes, but he has hit a dead end.

Nicolas:What if I give him a new road?

Erik: You mean…

Nicolas: Yes. We’ll anonymously inform Agent Rezek of Jacob Winston…

Erik:We haven’t spoke to him in years, what makes you think he’ll cooperate now?

Nicolas:Leave that up to me… Once Agent Rezek gets his hand on a cooperating man inblack who will show him what he’s looking for… well, that will lead to something

that will bring Nick back.

Erik:How can you be so positive?

Nicolas:

Erik looks concerned, but Nicolas looks sure. The camera cuts to:

27) Int. Starbucks. New York City, NY. Noon.

Adrian is paying for coffee when he gets a text message. He looks at his phone andit says the number is unknown, but the text says, “Your search for a man inblack ends here: Jacob Winston. Mandalay, Louisiana.” Adrian reads this andthen looks around him as if someone is watching him. He rushes out of theStarbucks as the barista yells:

Barista:Sir, you forgot your latte!

The camera cuts to:

28) Ext. Old Plantation House. Mandalay, Louisiana. Evening.

Adrian pulls up a dirt road to a beautiful, but somewhat dilapidated, old plantationhouse in the swamps of Louisiana. He gets out of his car and loosens his tie due tothe sweat pouring down his face and neck. It’s obviously very humid and hot andthe crickets are almost deafening. He cautiously walks up to the house and knockson the door. He looks around the porch and gives it a good once over. Finally, thedoor swings open and Adrian looks in and swallows hard as he reaches for his gun.Suddenly, a man comes walking out very quickly and he’s wearing a yellowraincoat. He is holding another one and Adrian draws his gun at him because of howquickly he rushed out of the door. The man looks up and we see that he is older,much older (He’s played by Adam West!). Adrian lowers his gun as Jacob Winstonsays:

Jacob: You’re going to need this; the Weather Channel’s calling for thunderstorms.

Adrian:(A bit confused and speechless) Wh… thunderstorms? Where are we going?

Winston says almost as if it is common knowledge:

Jacob:Why, Area 51 of course…

Jacob looks completely serious as Adrian is still confused and a bit surprised. Adrian just stares at Jacob as he holds the yellow raincoat out for Adrian. Adrian reluctantly takes it as the camera cuts to:
