THE CANADIAN SOCIAL SCIENCE RESEARCH COUNCIL

GRANTS-IN-AID OF RESEARCH

The Canadian Social Science Research Council has received funds from the Rockefeller Foundation which enable it to assist Canadian scholars in carrying on research in the social sciences. Application for aid should state the project for which the grant is sought, the present stage of the research, the rank held in university, references, the specific purpose for which the grant would be spent, and the approximate amount required. Application for grants-in-aid (usually $300 in amount, save in exceptional circumstances) should be made to Dr. C. Cecil Lingard, Secretary, Canadian Social Science Research Council, 166 Marlborough Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario, prior to January 10, 1952.

PRE-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS

The Canadian Social Science Research Council has received funds from the Rockefeller Foundation which enable it to offer a number of pre-doctoral fellowships for advanced postgraduate work in the social sciences. The value of the fellowships normally ranges from $750 to $1,500. Application forms and additional information may be obtained from Dr. C. Cecil Lingard, Secretary, Canadian Social Science Research Council, 166 Marlborough Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario, and should be completed and returned prior to January 10, 1952.
