WELCOME TO THE CORRIDORS OF THE SHEPHERDS LIGHTHOUSE

BUGLE MAGAZINE

The Shepherds Bugle is the voice of Shepherds Without Borders Lighthouse

Ministries Magazine; which comes out once monthly to highlight messages,

news, visions, projects, strength & weakness of the United Body of the

Kingdom of God. Inspired Shepherds come together monthly to write message

etc for the community of God chosen.

Every shepherd chosen, charged, and called by God (YHWH) to care for His

flocks is officially a member. Shepherds serve as an ambassadors of the

Kingdom of God , advocates for petitioning God for mankind, administrators

for the handling and distributing the truth of God's Word and they need a

watch tower on the hilltop to help them not to crash against the stones of

temptations placed in their path by the Devil.

This magazine is the shepherds’ consultant for wisdom and direction when it

comes to how the work of the Kingdom of God is being carried out in different

places around the world. It is also a confronter of the evil practices that are

carried out in the name of the kingdom of God. It is no respecter of any

particular doctrine, tradition, color, language, social status, or geographical

locations. It is the voice for the united kingdom of God's body of workers in

the vineyard here on earth.

This magazine is the discussion leader of any topic concerning the kingdom

of God and the warfare of God's people. Here you will see and post the work

you do for the kingdom; however it should be clear that every work you see

here is the responsibility/views of the writer who placed it there and not always

necessarily the views of everyone. It is a medium to serve as an encourager for

the shepherds around the world who are striving to get the truth of God's

Word out even at a risk to their own families and lives. As a spotlight, we

intend to also serve as a ground inspector of the work of every ministry we can

and highlight their strengths and weaknesses.

Shepherds, we say a big welcome to you and your flocks. Let this place be a

companion and knowledge dispenser, a place where you can rest and discover

your God given talents, your historian where you can view the past and log

the present, the nurturer of your visions, your opportunities spotter, and critic.

I know many times when you are in the wrong and we speak about it, you

might be hurt, go home and pray about it, and please come for a second look.

Partake and make this place a home away from home. Make this place a

secret corner for airing your views and questions that have been bothering you

CHRISTMAS SHOULD WE CELEBRATE IT? : BY TIM & RHONDA

I have prayed about this question many years, a year after I

got saved I was convicted of celebrating Halloween without knowing anything

about it, I later found out why, The Holy Spirit convicted me then showed me

why, He also taught me about being raised Catholic and the truth behind that,

by learning to listen to His voice and confirming by the word of God He has

taught me many things and convicted me of many things even of eating raw

hamburger, after much prayer on Christmas and many discussions with my

wife and I the same Lord who has convicted me and taught me about

everything else led me to change some things about Christmas and what I can

and cannot do or celebrate, one year we was going to a Church I was youth

Pastor at, I was teaching about Halloween, that year right after the teaching

the whole Church celebrated it our family was the only one who didn't, I was

criticized, laughed at, and mocked and told we was to hard on our children we

still took our stand, my children suffered because of this but i never

compromised and still never did after 26 years, my family, my Church, and my

friends all have got mad, teased and mocked me we still take that stand and

still people get mad, now saying all this you can understand how I feel and

stand, if the Lord convicts me I will take the stand no matter what, After

praying one year about Christmas the Lord showed me some things and it

changed us and the way we raised our kids in a crooked and perverse

generation, (1) I never told them to expect Santa or celebrate Santa I told

them every gift was given by the Lord, (2) I always taught them about the real

Birth out of the scriptures, (3) we never sang yuletide carols or any pagan

songs (4) I taught my children about paganism and the scriptures on decor

rating the tree and worshiping it but also taught them how to really worship

which we did as a family during this time (5) we taught them many Biblical

stories of the decorations and symbols both from Paganism and the Biblical

symbols Now concerning the virgin Birth and Paganism: (1) I taught my

children of many of the pagan gods and goddesses and their birth then taught

the real story of Jesus and the time of His Birth, which was not in December,

(2) I use this time to Evangelize because whether they believe it or not the

whole world is celebrating the birth of Jesus The Christ, for those who don't

believe in Him they are getting in many cases a day off with pay and are

celebrating a birth they don't believe in, so they are the real hypocrites and I

use this time to challenge them since they don't believe, (3) Also during

Christmas time we can challenge the truths about paganism and share the real

truth including the virgin birth and the real pagan story and then bring the

truth of each part of the Christmas story like how many shepherds and wise

men was really there and how old the child was when they came to visit Him

(4) During this time the Jews are making peace and reconciling with all their

enemies they made all through the year, all over the world there is a special

release of love and peace during this time and a real need to be with family so

we also reach out for those who don't have family, (5) we also during this time

don't go crazy and go in debt let me tell you the usual schedule we did

celebrate with our children My company I worked for always had a Christmas

party and gave out our bonuses so we would go to that, then the parade, then a

church here puts on a big play called the Gospel according to Scrooge an

awesome Evangelizing Play where Scrooge gets saved they always give the

Salvation Message so we try and take someone who isn't saved, and allot of

times we have them over for dinner and follow through teaching them So to

me this is the best time of the year to reach out and preach and teach truth, I

know many will criticize me for this but how many have taught their children

about paganism and truth so they know about the false religions, and about

various forms of paganism, my children can teach and tell you the truth about

Christmas and paganism also they can tell you the real truth that happened

during the Birth of Christ so they can share with others about the real story so

for those who have children teach them about the different gods in paganism

but teach them the real Biblical Christmas story I challenge you. Now for

those who say we shouldn't celebrate at all if we take Halloween ( which we

should) and we take Easter, and we take Christmas, and we take Thanksgiving

away in which we can find ties to paganism and reasons to take it then what

do we celebrate as a family, after raising my children and taking the stand for

years I know children will resent and despise you if you take it all so the best

way is to bring truth and teach them the ways of the Lord and let it be taught

during these times so they can teach others especially their friends, and for

those who are real religious study Jesus celebrating Hanukkah, God Bless

time for you to bring forth.

Laboring in prayer and in travail walking the

floor and interceding for lost souls and for

the wounded to be made whole, with sinners being

converted. Bring forth the beautiful ministry

birthed out of pain! it is worth it to be

used as His instrument to bring forth pure gold

having been tried in the fire being tested and is

now approved bring forth and continually pray!!!!

A Kingdom Word for 2012 (Complete) BY DR. LEONARD ROBINSON

Go where you are sent, not where you are celebrated. Go where you are sent.

You may not be tolerated. Go where you are sent. No doubt you will be

misunderstood. But go where you are sent because Jesus is sending you as

sheep among wolves.

When you arrive do as He said. Speak truth to power even in the face of

dread. Why fear him that can kill the body. Fear Him that can kill body and

soul casting it into hell.

You may have to stand alone in this walk in comparison to those who stand

outside of it. But the Father will add people for your life and you will discover

those of "like precious faith".

So you may not be celebrated. You may not be tolerated. But the assignment

you are on has been tailor made for you. You have been predestined to walk in

such good works that when people see it, they will know that you've been with

Jesus.

Live the Kingdom driven life today! Deny the devil the pleasure of seducing

you away from the treasure that the Kingdom is in power, glory and honor

that comes from serving the King.

In 2012 go where you are sent. You may not be celebrated. You may not be

tolerated. Even those who seek to kill you will think they will be honoring God,

but no one will be able to gainsay against your anointing of wisdom, power

and might for the Father has sent you expressly for this hour, of deciphering

and separating the profane from the profound, the religious and tradition of

preaching, from the revelation and simplicity of the Kingdom.

Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Discover the power of

truth and avoid the vain philosophies of man. Its Kingdom time! You are

under assignment to go where you are sent. (Matthew 6:33; Matthew 24:14;

Acts 17:1-7)

People struggle with the concept of the Kingdom being the "only" message

we are to preach. What they fail to understand is that every message the

apostles preached, even the epistles of Peter, James and Paul were all in the

context of advancing the Kingdom.

Today we preach all kinds of messages out of context and usually geared

towards people having faith in a faithful God... who is going to bring them the

breakthrough they have been needing.

The disciples preached from the context of "being a breakthrough" as they

advanced the Kingdom throughout the nations of the world. Even in the midst

of Roman persecution when they were scattered abroad they went everywhere

preaching Christ, that He was the risen King.

The Church was one Church, with one heart, with one message and they had

all things in common. The true Church walks in the same reality of truth as

the first century Church did. We have the same understanding and the same

commitment and instead of looking for a blessing we look to be a blessing.

As we continue to make the Kingdom of God and His righteousness our

number one priority the Father supplies what we need materially as well as

spiritually.

The true Church is a Kingdom Church that walks in the unity of the faith

fulfilling her assignment to turn the world upside down just as Paul and Silas

did, preaching that which was contrary to Ceaser, preaching Christ is King.

May every Church that claims to be the Lord's Church come into the

revelation and understanding of their right now Kingdom citizenship and

collective responsibility to advance the Kingdom and cause the return of Jesus

Christ. (Matthew 24:14)

OR IN SIMPLE TERMS...IT'S THE DAY WE CELEBRATE THE

BIRTH OF OUR LORD

SO MANY PEOPLE WHO, THOUGH THEY MAY BE AVID CHURCH

GOERS, DON'T KNOW

THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS. SOME DON'T REALLY KNOW

WHO JESUS IS.

AND MOST HAVE NOT BUILT UP A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP

WITH HIM. IN OTHER

WORDS, GOING TO CHURCH ON SUNDAY, SINGING IN THE

CHOIR OR SERVING ON

THE USHER BOARD IS ALL THEY REALLY KNOW. THEY MAY OR

MAY NOT LISTEN TO

THE PREACHING OF THE GOSPEL. ONE REASON MAY BE IS

THAT THEIR PASTOR

MAY NOT BE PREACHING THE TRULY , UNADULTERATED GOSPEL

OF JESUS CHRIST.

HE MAY BE ONE WHO DWELLS ON PROSPERITY. AND HE MAY BE

ONE WHO JUST

SKIPS AROUND IN THE BIBLE AND BRINGS OUT SEVERAL

SCRIPTURES THAT MAY

HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST.

IT'S NO WONDER THAT SO MANY ARE DEPRESSED AT THIS

TIME OF YEAR BECAUSE

THEY ARE DISCOURAGED THAT THEY HAVE NO MONEY TO MAKE

PURCHASES TO

THEIR CHILDREN AND/OR GRAND CHILDREN. OR IT MAY BE

THAT THEY DON'T

EVEN HAVE MONEY TO BUY FOOD FOR THEIR FAMILY TO EAT.

SOME MAY EVEN BE

HOMELESS/POOR AND NEEDY. THEY MAY NOT HAVE A JOB OR

HAVE ONE THAT PAYS

SO VERY LITTLE THAT THEY ARE VERY FRUSTRATED AS TO

HOW TO EVEN MAKE

ENDS MEET.

BUT, IF THE REAL REASON OF THE CELEBRATION WAS KNOWN,

SOME WOULD BE

ABLE TO HOLD THEIR HEADS UP AND LIFT THEIR EYES UNTO

THE HILLS FROM

WHENCE COMES THEIR HELP, KNOWING THAT ALLL THEIR HELP

COMES FROM THE

LORD JESUS. YES, THE SAME ONE WHO CAME ALL THE WAY

DOWN THROUGH 42

GENERATIONS AND WAS BORN OF THE VIRGIN MARY. HE WAS

BORN IN BETHLEHEM

AND BECAUSE MARY AND JOSEPH COULDN'T FIND A HOTEL

THAT HAD ROOM FOR

THEM, THEY WERE TOLD TO PLACE THE BABY IN A MANGER

AND THEY SLEPT IN

VERY HUMBLE SURROUNDINGS WHERE THERE WAS NO BED , BUT

HAY TO SLEEP ON.

BUT, AS THE STORY GOES IN LUKE 2ND CHAPTER, THERE

WERE SHEPHERDS

WATCHING OVER THEM FROM A SHORT DISTANCE. AND THEY

WERE EXCITED ABOUT

HIS BIRTH. ALSO, THERE WERE THREE WISE MEN WHO

TRAVELED LONG DISTANCE

TO FIND THE BABE WRAPPED IN SWADDLING CLOTHES LYING

IN A MANGER AND

THEY BROUGHT EXPENSIVE GIFTS FOR HIM. IMAGINE THAT.

...THAT THESE WISE

MEN WOULD TRAVEL SO FAR TO FIND A BABE THAT THEY'D

HEARD WAS THE KING

OF THE JEWS. THEY KNEW ALSO THAT HE WOULD BE THE

SAVIOR OF THE WORLD.

WELL, YOU MAY SAY THAT YOU DON'T HAVE MONEY TO BUY

ANY EXPENSIVE GIFT

FOR ANYONE THIS YEAR. AS I FORESTATED, YOU MAY BE ONE

WHO HAS VERY

LITTLE MONEY OR NONE TO MAKE PURCHASES OF GIFTS FOR

ANYONE. IT MAY BE

ALL YOU CAN DO IS TO SCROUNGE UP MONEY TO BUY A

LITTLE FOOD TO MAKE

SURE YOUR FAMILY CAN EAT. BUT, THE LORD JESUS SEES

WHAT'S IN YOUR

HEART AND HE KNOWS THAT YOU HAVE THE DESIRE TO BUY

GIFTS TO REPRESENT

THE LOVE YOU HAVE FOR HIM AND HIS PEOPLE. HE KNOWS

AND HE IS SMILING

BAKING SOME COOKIES OR A CAKE FOR SOMEONE? OR IF YOU

CAN SEW, YOU

COULD SEW A BLANKET FOR A YOUNG PREGNANT WOMAN FOR

HER BABY. OR AN

ELDERLY PERSON WOULD JUST WANT YOU TO KEEP THEM

COMPANY FOR A SHORT

TIME AND MAYBE SING SOME CHRISTMAS SONGS. YOU COULD

VISIT A SICK

PERSON WHO IS NOT ABLE TO GET OUT AND ABOUT DURING

THE CHRISTMAS

SEASON THAT HAS BEEN SET ASIDE BY MAN TO CELEBRATE

JESUS' BIRTHDAY.

IN ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT IS IN YOUR HEART TO EXPRESS

THE LOVE OF JESUS

AND THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS. BUT, IF YOU ARE A

TRUE BELIEVER

(DISCIPLE OF CHRIST) YOU WILL FIND A WAY TO SHOW HIS

LOVE TO SOMEONE

IN NEED. AND THE LORD WILL REWARD YOU OPENLY AND MORE

BLESSINGS WILL

COME TO YOU THAN YOU ISSUED OUT. TRY JESUS' AGAPE'

LOVE AND YOU WILL

SEE THAT IT IS UNCONDITIONAL AND ETERNAL LOVE. HIS

LOVE WON'T ALLOW

YOU TO HAVE RESPECTER OF PERSONS EITHER. YOU WILL

FIND YOURSELF GIVING

TO A STRANGER ON THE STREET WITHOUT CONCERNING

YOURSELF OF WHAT COLOR

SKIN, HOW HE OR SHE IS DRESSED, WHAT THEY SMELL LIKE,

ETC. YOU WILL

JUST BE MOVED WITH COMPASSION JUST LIKE JESUS IS

MOVED.

MAY THE LORD JESUS TOUCH YOUR HEART MORE SO THIS

CHRISTMAS SEASON AND

THEN MAY IT LAST THROUGHOUT THE NEW YEAR OF 2012.

AFTER ALL, AS

CHRISTIANS WE CELEBRATE ALL THE YEAR LONG AND WE ARE

ALWAYS MOVED WITH

COMPASSION UPON THE POOR/NEEDY AND HOMELESS ONES.

ALSO, DON'T FORGET

THE ORPHANS AND WIDOWS NEED OUR ATTENTION. SHOW SOME

LOVE MORE THIS

YEAR AND MORE WILL BE SHOWN YOU AS WELL. GIVE AND IT

SHALL BE GIVEN

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness,

faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23

Although all of the fruit of the Spirit mentioned above are important, I

sometimes wonder if the last one mentioned is the one that many have "settled

for less" in pursuing. Interestingly, it is very difficult to cultivate any of the

other fruits of the Spirit in our lives without self-control. Can I love well if my

temper is out of control? Can I have true joy if I allow my flesh to be out of

control? I surely can't have peace if I have no self-control, let alone

forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and gentleness. All must be

cultivated in the "soil" of a self-controlled life.

The Value of Self-Control

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is

contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not

to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the

law. Galatians 5:16-18

Our flesh is deceptive, and its desires cause the people of God numerous

temptations. It is so easy to give into temporary satisfaction without

considering the long term cost these temporary gratifications demand. There

is an ongoing battle that all men and women face each and every day between

the flesh and the Spirit.

The good news is that even though the flesh demands our "work" to control it,

the Spirit – when we allow ourselves to be led and dependent upon Him –

gives us all that we need to resist temptation and to submit to what is true and

what is good for our lives. Self-control comes only through dependency upon

the Spirit.

The flesh is restless. It wants control of our lives. There is restlessness in the

lives of so many individuals – not only within those who do not know the Lord,

but also within the Body of Christ. We all desire comfort, satisfaction and

nurturing. God put that need within us and He is happy to satisfy those

longings with His Spirit; but it does not happen outside of intimate

relationship with Him. We must let Holy Spirit lead us and comfort us.

Getting Honest and Personal

I never feel it is honest to write these kinds of articles without including my

personal journey, since more often than not my writings come from something

the Lord is trying to teach me first. My personal struggle with self-control (or

the lack of it) has been in the area of taking care of my body. I tend to be the

type of person who takes care of everyone but me. And, though that is true, it

may also be an excuse to not have to deal with an area where I've allowed my

flesh to rule. The price I am paying for this negligence is beginning to affect

my daily life. I, too, desperately need to let the Spirit comfort me and nurture

me so that I am not "self comforting" by escaping into the pleasure of

something good to eat.

No matter what our struggle, any activity we use to comfort ourselves can

become an area that the flesh is declaring victory over the Spirit in our lives. It

is time for your spirit and my spirit to arise and declare victory over the works

of the flesh and the demands that it puts upon us. Its relentless demand and

deception is the greatest cause of the restlessness that so many deal with.

I remember hearing a minister's testimony of declaring victory over her

addiction to smoking cigarettes even as she lit one up. Day after day she

smoked, but as she did she would thank God that she was delivered from her

addiction. Gradually she stopped smoking and saw the victory that she saw in

the Spirit manifest in her life. She refused to let her flesh dictate what the

Spirit was telling her she had victory over. I think that many of us need to do

the same thing with our struggles.

He is the giver of self-control. Maybe self-control partly looks like agreeing

with Him regarding what He says He is delivering us from. I will exercise self-

control by not agreeing with the declaration of my flesh as it has shouted

claims of victory. And as much as possible, it is important to invite others into

your journey to stand with you as you contend for victory.

I can do all things through Him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

Arise With Hope

If I had one wish for Christmas day, it would be that the children of God

would let the Spirit lead them so that they can have the gift of self-control.

Fortunately, I not only can wish this but I can pray and declare this. It can

start with me and you! This Christmas we can give Jesus a gift of dependency

and declarations of His Word. He longs to see us free. Just as a parent wants

to see their child free from all hindrances that bring pain into their lives, so

does our Heavenly Father. He is happy to share this gift with us because it is a

joint effort of our submission and His strength.

Arise with hope in your heart and begin to declare the victory of your

deliverance over every area where your flesh has led you to believe you are

defeated. Neither the devil nor our flesh will be able to prosper in a heart that

seeks and longs for the fruit of the Spirit. Declare even now over your life the

words from Isaiah 54:

"...no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue

that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is

their vindication from me." Isaiah 54:17

I encourage you to read and declare the truths of all of Isaiah 54 over your

lives. I have begun doing this, and although the enemy comes to try to

discourage us in this, do not stop or give up! We must walk in the authority

given to us in Christ Jesus. Though the enemy has worked overtime to steal

the fruit of self-control in our lives, the Spirit is inviting us into His fruit

orchard to eat of this fruit and have it manifest in our lives.

Rather than another "New Year's" resolution, how about entering into a Holy

Spirit agreement and declaration that we have obtained freedom? Whom the

Son sets free is free indeed!

Blessings upon you and your family this Christmas, and I pray that 2012 will

begin with testimonies of "songs of deliverances" coming from God's people.

Sharma, etc yet, you need to know Him as the Prince of peace by revelation.

In your life, family home, business and ministry, may the Prince of peace give

you an experience of His peace that passes all understanding. Amen!

God Keeps His Word, Will You Keep Yours? Where there is love there is hope, God’s love for us has given us hope, For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope” (Ro 15:4). The Lord has brought me thus far by faith and hope in His word, knowing the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, and the just shall live by faith (Ro 1:17). Tis our walk towards God when He reveals to us light of His word that we step in the light. Abraham was justified by believing what God told hen and it was counted to him for righteousness, it did not say Abraham was righteous, because of his faith God placed him in the number of the righteous. Abraham acted on what God revealed to him, so faith is an action also. He could have heard from God, and just sat there waiting for God to make the next move, but said go, leave your family, all you own, and know and I will give you what I promise. So Abraham had to make a move in order to receive what the Lord had promised. We too as believers must first believe that God is, and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. We have to believe what God says He is going to do, He will do. Nor will he lie, or have part in any lies. He gave us His word and had it written down to preserve it for the generations to come, so we would hold fast, (with diligence),to His word, and not only be hearers, but doers as well.

The first written words of God were give to Moses, The Law, written on tables of stone, The commandments of God to lead us back to Him. "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith” (Gal 3:24). The children of Israel were expected to keep what God had given them, if they were going to keep and receive His promises as well. It is God’s way, He promises His people certain things, and all He asks of His people is to keep His word. History has shown us those that were given the Word of God and were asked to keep it, were not able to do so. From the time Moses went on the mountain, the children of Israel got impatient with him and the Lord. They came to Aaron and insisted he make them gods they could see, to go before them. So Aaron, told them to break of their earrings of gold, even their sons and daughters.

I found this interesting as I saw the importance, and truth of what an earring of gold really meant. I heard the word of Solomon, "As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear” (Pr 25:12). The children of Israel proving their disobedience to the Lord, had to take off the evidence of what would be a sign of obedience. The children of Israel did this willingly, to serve the gods of Egypt, instead of believing the one true God who made Himself known to them by delivering them out of the bondage of Pharaoh. In the Law God said of a servant, man or woman,when sold into servitude, in the seventh year they should be freed. They shall not be sent away empty, but be given liberally, of all the Lord had blessd the master with. The reasoning was to remind them of the bondage they had in Egypt and what the Lord had done for them. At the end of seven years, if the servant loved his master, and was willing to stay a servant in his master’s house as a servant, they were to take an aul, and bore a hole in his ear, (Ex 21:6; De 15:12-18). Aaron then took gold from the ears of the children of Israel, and the golden calf, and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

When he saw it, he built and altar making a proclamation, "To morrow is a feast of the Lord”. The next morning they rose up early, and offered unto their gods, and it said, "the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play” (Ex 32:1-6). This corruption of false worship caught God’s attention, and He told Moses He was going to destroy them, and Moses intervened on the children of Israel’s behave, because of the promise God had made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, if God killed them it would make God look badly to the nations. And the Lord withheld His punishment. Coming down from the mountain Moses, with the two tables of God Law, written with the finger of God, Joshua and Moses heard the shouts of the people, and Joshua thought it was the shouts of war. Moses said it was not the shouts of might, valour or bravery. And as they came near the camp, he saw the calf and the people dancing, and his anger was stirred within him. He broke the tables of the Law, which he thought they were no worthy of, and destroyed the golden calf, grinding it to powder, and made the people drink it. This is our admonition to not do as the children of Israel did in not keeping what God had told them. We are to believe what God reveals to us in His word and keep what He tells us to do. Jesus said, "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love (Jo 15:10). "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Ro 10:17), God is looking for a people to keep His word, and worship Him, believing all He has said. ”But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (Joh 4:23-24). God commanded the children of Israel to present themelves to him, three times a year, in the place where He shall choose.

These times were called the "Feast of the Lord”, His feast, and times he set aside to worship Him. You may say, "we are not under the law, we do not have to keep the feast in the law”. Jesus said, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill” (Mt 5:17). One of these feast is so important, called the feast of Passover, Jesus died on that day, as our passover Lamb. Another feast, called Pentecost, so important when it had fully come in Acts 2 Jesus sent the Holy Ghost. And last but not least, the feast of tabernacles, a feast in which the children of Israel were to build booths outside, to remind them of their time in the wilderness, in which God took care of them for forty years.The feast of tabernacles is so important that when King Jesus comes it will be kept, and every year the nations of the world will go to Jerusalem and bow the knee, (Zec 14:1-21).

"Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face. Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them” (De 7:9-11). The time has come that we as believers keep the word of God, or we will miss out on the promises he has for us. I ask, are we keeping what He has said? Or have we made up our own ways and called them the Lord’s? Are we feasting on His days? Or we caught up in the ways of the world? "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (1Jo 2:15). If we want to know, if what we are doing is God’s will or not, all we have to do is look in His word. It is all there. All He has for us to know, and believe. May the Lord keep you and give you understanding to all He has for those that love Him and are called by His name.

It is going to be glorious when we stand before Him and hear Him say, ‘Well done thou good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of the Lord”. "Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand” (Rev 1:3).

There is no fear in love. But perfect Love drives out fear (1 John 4:18).

As we bring 2011 to an end let us beware that there are many antichrists

which are false prophets and false teachers spoken into our spirit and lives.

The antichrist is a liar and this has hindered our fellowship with the True

Living God. Do not believe every spirit but test the spirits to see whether they

are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This

is how we can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that

Jesus Christ has come in flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not

acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which

you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world (1 John 4:1-3).

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world the

love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—craving of

sinful man, the boasting of what he does—come not from the Father but from

the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will

of God lives forever.

Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist

is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the

last hour (1 John 2:15-18).

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. I

am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray.

As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do

not need anyone to teach you.

But his anointing teaches you about things and as that anointing is real, not

counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him (1 John 4: 20, 26).

This is the one who came by water and blood—Christ Jesus. He did not come

by water only, but by water and blood. And this is the Spirit who testifies,

because the Spirit is the Truth. For there are three that testify: the Spirit, the

water, and the blood; and the three are in agreement. We accept man’s

testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God,

which he has given about his Son (1 John 5:6-9).

We know that everyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was

born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him. We know that

we are children of God, and that the world is under the control of the evil one.

We also know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding,

so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true—even in

his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. Dear children keep

yourself from idols (1 John 5:18-21). Here we have the Victory and assurance

through our faith in God.

God is life...God is light…God is love. As we bring 2011 to an end and we

enter into 2012. Let us remember the key words here "Fellowship‖; "Love.‖ If

we are to walk in the fellowship with God we must walk in obedience and

truth. We must walk in the love for one another. Christ Jesus first loved us

enough that he laid down his life. The love God has for us is totally

unconditional. Only the blood of Christ can cleanse us from all our sins. True

love with will manifest itself in actions, not just words.

Abba-Father,

I want to Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of

sharing in his suffering, becoming like him in his death, and so somehow, to

attain the resurrection from death ( Philippians 3:10-11). My prayer for each

of us that You would bring down the fire and revelation of "WHO" you are in

our lives. Fill us with a greater understanding and anointing to go with that

understand as you govern out lives this coming year. May our hearts be as

sacred as that of Christ Jesus the Anointed One. May we walk in Fellowship

with you, O God, as with one another. May we put into action the love that

flows from you within us to one another freely. Let the Jesus in me love the

Jesus in each of my brethrens so easily.

That your joy may be complete in each of us, for your joy is our strength in

2012. This I ask in no other name than the name given all power. Christ

Jesus. Amen!!

The true sorrow of sin is a recognition from the heart, though we may have

caused harm to another, it is God, creator of all things good or the God in the

person, that we have actually sinned against. Daid writes; Psa 51:1 <to

the="" chief="" musician="" a="" psalm="" of="" david="" when=""

nathan="" prophet="" came="" unto="" him="" after="" he="" had=""

gone="" in="" to="" bathsheba.=""> Have mercy upon me, O God,

according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender

mercies blot out my transgressions.</to>

Psa 51:2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my

sin.

Psa 51:3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Psa 51:4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy

sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when

thou judgest.

David was faced with his sin and grew heavy hearted for what he had done,

why? David understood something that we no longer seem to be aware of, the

reverent fear of God! I went to church today and listened as they sang the

song "Heart of Worship‖, God made me very aware of my surroundings and

pointed out to me, they were merely singing. He made it clear when He spoke

these words; it’s just a song and the worship leader was only acting, there is

no sorrow for the things they’ve done, it’s just lip service.

This broke my heart, God is not just a word we throw around to guilt people

or make them feel good, God is a Father, a real Father who’s love far exceeds

words or expressions. So why then do we insist on treating Him like just

another feel good for the moment, activity? The answer is simple, the church,

the leadership has stopped teaching the reverent fear of God, so for most in

the church today, it’s just another moment of waste, but it’s my obligation to

go to church.

If only people realized, they’re setting themselves up for an eternity of

torment, some think living is hell , yet they fear dying. Could it be they fear

dying because they have no idea who God is? Could it be, they know deep in

their hearts that their lives are not right with God? The true remnant of God

may never know, but this same true remnant needs to pray for their fellow

man. Consider the story of the ten virgins, 5 are ready and prepared and 5 are

not and expect man to pull them from the fire in the time of due, when Christ

returns for His bride. We must pray for an awakening for those who think

they’re walking on water, when in fact, they walk only a slippery wet road.

We, the remnant must make certain in love, no condemnation, that the

unprepared are aware that God doesn’t accept half hearted half measures.

Anytime we place anything before God, we fail to honor Him, worship Him,

and glorify Him, who has loved us beyond measure. Just because we may

recognise for a moment the goodness of God’s blessings, doesn’t mean we’re

safe from a hateful eternity. When we honor God with our whole being, 24/7,

then God is worshipped and served in the proper context, then love is shown.

When we screw up and commit a sin and come to recognition we have sinned,

true sorrow comes and we can then, from our whole being, ask forgivness.

People, learn what the reverent fear of God truly is, leaders, start teaching

what the reverent fear of God is, and ALL, stop seeking your own agendas.

God is going to judge the church 1st, and there is nothing anyone of us can do

to change His judgment, as an after effect. Let us get right with God right

now, walk in His satatutes and ordinances, from His Word, and be the virgin

Holy bride we are called to be. Stop with the lip service, give God everything

and see what He will do with this human flesh mess, when we allow Him.

It is my hope that we all will step up, and step in to everything God has for

us, God really loves each of us and wants the best for us, as does the praying

true remnant.

God bless you as you turn the right direction, that being His way. Let sorrow

effect your hearts, drawing you closer to God who loves you, so much more

than you can imagine!

I do want to add one thing, there were those in our service who actually felt

sorrow and God is pleased with their hearts

A PROPHECY OF LIGHT: BY JOSEPH KING

YOU ARE ENTERING 2012, THE YEAR OF GLORY SHINING BRIGHT

Isa 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen

upon thee.

Isa 60:2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness

the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen

upon thee.

I have been patiently waiting for this word just for you. The SPIRIT of the

LORD informed me that HE had a word of power to release into your spirit as

early as last October in regards to prophetic unction to accompany the books

that HE has ministered through me, titled- A SEASON OF LIGHT &

BIRTHING AT ANOTHER LEVEL. This word is intended to provoke your

spirit to activate the revelation of light so that your faith which has been

hidden will now be made visible and manifest to all.

Do not just enter into 2012 because mortal man says the previous year is

spent. You are different and is ordained to be different from the world. This

word has come to direct you before the news media does, before the financial

markets does, before your government does, before your family does; it seeks

to lay down for you your steps as ordained of the MOST HIGH.

Read this word of prophecy in prayer. Do not read it once; read it again and

again till it inundates your spirit. Meditate on it, and then boldly confess it.

And while you are at it, refuse to be intimidated by the circumstances of life

that threaten to snuff your light. Beloved, the life of the believer is in the word

and this is your word to ensure your life of glory. Listen to the SPIRIT, HE

speaks thus:

There is a mighty stirring, a move of the SPIRIT that is quickening in the

saints in these last days. The year 2011 is passing away with all its trials, tests,

and temptations and for those who have learnt to eat the word, those who have

learnt to depend on the word; your devotion is being paid with a glorious shift

from believing for the light to living in it. You are entering a new year 2012, a

year of glory and in it you are going to shine forth in glory, proving to all the

light of faith. Truly even as our LORD spoke and declared, miracles, signs,

and wonders shall follow you rather than having you believing for them.

Your faith which has been hitherto fore hidden under a bushel is going to be

brought out to manifest exhibition. Listen, if you thought you have been

under, get ready to be exposed in the light of faith. The sick shall see it and

seek your hand in healing; the poor shall see it and seek your hand in

provision; the old shall see it and seek your hand in renewal of strength; the

lonely shall see it and seek your hand in friendship; the defeated shall see it

and seek your hand in victory; the confused shall see it and seek your hand in

wisdom and direction.

Yes, I see you shining your faith; I see your faith talking more than your

mouth can utter; I see your faith pronouncing, declaring, manifesting,

blessing, empowering, and revealing the anointing of CHRIST shining on

you. Yes, this is your season for rising, for shining, for living out the

prophecies on your life. Many that have seen you praying and praying are

now set to see you receiving and receiving. The burden is removed, the yoke is

destroyed, and the liberty of the SPIRIT is yours for greater glory.

You have prayed, believed, and sought GOD for yourself; now, your faith has

worked, its results are bear for all to see; from henceforth, you are going to be

the temple the LORD said all would seek in the last days.

Many shall seek you to pray for them because it will be obvious to all that God

hears and answers your prayers. And when you pray, your answers shall rain

down like fire. Healings are flowing from you, prosperity too, and wisdom as

well; its all coming together, that plan and perfect purpose of GOD for you in

CHRIST:

Psalm 85:9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may

dwell in our land.

Psalm 85:10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have

kissed each other.

Psalm 85:11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look

down from heaven.

Psalm 85:12 Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall

yield her increase.

Psalm 85:13 Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of

his steps.

Your time is come and you must shine forth the kingdom of heaven that is

abundantly revealed in you. The hour of darkness is far spent and now here

comes your light. You cannot be hidden anymore, you cannot be marginalized

anymore, you are a city set on a hill that must light up your marriage, family,

neighborhood, your city, nation, indeed your generation.

What a joy, what a day, what a marvel; I am so glad to live in your day when I

can see you flourish in the light of your faith in CHRIST. YES, PROVE

CHRIST TO THE WORLD; PROVE HIM TO DOUBTING SAINTS;

PROVE HIM TO THIS ADULTEROUS AND PERVERTED GENERATION.

(This word is richly given to you all in CHRIST confident that it is the word

of the SPIRIT declaring to you that which belongs to our LORD. Kindly

believe it, receive it, and pray it into your spirit and through you to the

material realm. Precious and I will be praying for you to shine in this word. It

is yours for you to abide in and demonstrate to all the faithfulness of CHRIST.

I will notify you when I am able to share the full word. But I have this to say;

it is going to get a lot darker for the world and those who are not walking by

faith but by sight. If you are a believer, do not waste your faith and live about

confident in the affairs of the flesh. If you have ever been spiritual, 2012 is it;

it is the year that Isaiah saw and prophesied, the year that Malachi saw and

prophesied; both declaring that the time would come when GOD would clearly

BEGINNING AND ENDINGS! BY LINDA FAWKES

Well it will soon be the end of 2011 and 2012 will be here. I am glad that I

cannot see the future. If I had known in advance all the things that would

have beset me - I would have been in despair! But God is good. He tells us to

take one day at a time and His GRACE IS SUFFICIENT for each day! I am

sure that 2012 will also have its sad times but REMEMBERING how God has

brought me through every suffering gives me confidence IN HIM to KNOW

that whatever happens He will see me through! God will not give us more

then we can handle - HIS PROMISE - and I believe Him!

A lot of things have tested us as a family but I pray that when times are sad

and traumatic - my family may turn to Jesus in the darkness and find New

Life in Him! I turned to Jesus 37 years ago when everything was really

difficult. Because of this I invited Jesus to come into life and help me deal

with the mess. I could not help myself and I COULD SEE NO HOPE. He

came into my open heart and became my Saviour and Lord and now there is

nothing that is too dark that HIS LIGHT cannot penetrate and shatter.

I used to be afraid of traumatic events and sadness but I have learnt that I am

in the hands of a Good God and He knows what He is doing. I know that He

knows my future and that He loves me and my family and although painful

things can happen - God is already planning the next move.

I have learnt not to look back but to embrace the PRESENT and leave the

future in God's hands! I pray that in the coming year many people will turn

to the LORD AND FIND HELP IN THEIR DISTRESS AND NEW LIFE!

We must never lose heart but PERSEVERE in prayer and though we may sow

in tears we will one day reap in joy!

NEVER FORGET that Jesus HAS PROMISED to see us through to the end

and in THIS we have hope and strength! Keep persevering precious ones.

God KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING!

Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and keep following Him. He will never fail us

and we will see His hand at work in our lives as we allow Him to live in us!

May you know joy and Peace this Christmas and may the coming year be full

of God's blessings and a wonderful sense of His strength and loving

presence! LOVE TO YOU ALL!

CHRIST DIED SO YOU CAN LIVE!

First of all, the word "Christ" comes from "Christos," a Greek word meaning

"anointed". It is the equivalent of the word "Meshach," or Messiah, in

Hebrew. But what does that mean? To be anointed is literally to have sacred

anointing oil poured on one's head because God has chosen the person for a

special task. Kings were anointed during their coronation rather than

receiving a crown. Even though prophets and priests were anointed, the

phrase "anointed one" or "the Lord's anointed" was most often used to refer

to a king.

Christmas is known as a special holiday toward the end of the year. Yet we

know that it truly represents a period in time when God wrapped himself in

flesh and was born of a virgin woman becoming the Son of God in the form of

Christ Jesus. That we may have a personal relations and fellowship with Him!

The Bible tells us in Matthew 2: 1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in

Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi[a] from the east came to

Jerusalem 2 and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the

Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.‖

"Three Kings", or "Three Wise Men", redirects here. For other uses, see

Three Kings (disambiguation) and Wise men. The Magi (ˈmædʒaɪ/;[1]

Greek: μάγοι, magoi), also referred to as the (Three) Wise Men, (Three)

Kings, (Three) Astrologers, or Kings from the East, were a group of

distinguished foreigners who were said to have visited Jesus after his birth,

bearing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. They are regular figures in

traditional accounts of the nativity celebrations of Christmas and are an

important part of the Christian tradition.

The Gospel of Matthew,[2] the only one of the four Canonical gospels to

mention the Magi, states that they came "from the east" to worship the Christ,

"born King of the Jews." Although the account does not tell how many they

were, the three gifts led to a widespread assumption that they were three as

well.[3] [4] In the East, the magi traditionally number twelve.[4] Their

identification as kings in later Christian writings is probably linked to Psalms

72:11, "May all kings fall down before him‖.[4]

Exodus 34: 20 says ………‖No one is to appear before me empty handed‖. We

are to bring an offering unto the Lord God and I believe this is where we got

the idea of giving gifts was on born. A time when a miracle took place in the

lives of (Man A Savior) was born unto us.

IN SPITE OF THE DARKNESS! : BY Margaret Mullings

Friend.....in spite of the many challenges, heartache, the grief

of loss of loved ones....what ever you are going through be

comforted in this fact in spite of the darkness....The God of

all comfort is with you and He will bring you VICTORIOUSLY

through.....Be Blessed as you read....IN SPITE OF THE DARKNESS !

A young woman experiences the loss of her mother, and the pain

of being estranged from the only daddy she knew. This young lady's

world seemed all so dark. In spite of the darkness, she began to

move forward, marrying at an early age to the gentleman who won

her heart. Very early in the marriage, her only son then grew

gravely ill and was diagnosed with meningitis. In spite of

the darkness which seemed to be closing in around her, she kept

holding on to hope. praying consistently to Abba Father. Things

kept on getting worse. Her second child was diagnosed with a

deformity, and the third child suffered from severe seizures. The

fourth child ! It seemed almost unbearable for the young woman to

see her youngest child not being able to function. What a harsh

reality but in spite of the darkness she continued to seek God and

to pray.

What is so wonderful, this young woman learned to praise

and be thankful in spite of the darkness.. Yes, there were times

when the darkness seemed too much, and she felt like giving up.

Instead she fasted and prayed, she kept on studying the word. Some-

thing unusual happened very early one morning, her son who suffered

from seizures experienced a severe seizure while asleep. Having him

in her bed was very fortunate, she was able to assist him to some

degree until the ambulance arrived. At this point, this young lady

began to fall apart. It seemed to her God was too far away, and it was

just more than she could bear. She was giving up.....hope was fading.

Just at that very moment, the young woman felt a strong hand on her

shoulders. She heard a comforting voice saying to her "My grace is

sufficient for you, I am holding you up, I will carry you through".

The young woman's tears stopped and immediately she felt a renewed

strength and courage to go on. Yes, God, who felt so far away is

present with her.....her hope returned. The young woman looked at

her four young children, seeing them for the first time the way her

heavenly Father saw them as fearfully and wonderfully made for a

specific purpose. Her prayers were no longer the same. Instead she

prayed..... "Father in the name of Jesus: She inserted each of her

children's names".

With His stripes each one of them were healed

for each child to fulfill their purpose and destiny. This young

woman never stopped praying this prayer. In spite of the darkness,

and the many nights of traveling back and forth to the hospital with

each of her children during the wee hours of the morning, with the

ambulance frequenting her home, yet she persevered in prayer and

fasting....staying in prayer.

Today....The oldest son, who suffered meningitis which left him

looking deformed has been completely healed. The second child suffered

a deformity in the leg, having to wear a brace around her waist, and

steel strapped to her legs with special made shoes. She has been

completely healed. The younger son who suffered from severe seizures

has been miraculously healed. The youngest daughter whom the doctors

diagnosed as having cerebral palsy and was told she would never walk

or talk. She is walking and talking.....Yes in spite of the darkness

this young woman stayed focused on Jesus Christ and on the word of God,

and her prayers were answered. The darkness which had eluded her at

times has turned into a bright light which could help others to get

through their darkness. When I reopened the book Seeds Of Hope 2 from

which I extracted this chapter.....I wept! Reflecting on from where

What Yahweh has brought me victoriously through. Now in what may seem

like the darkest time of your life......I challenge you to hold on to

your faith. Continue to pray and read the word of Yahweh...The God who

redeems you...read His word daily.....that in spite of the darkness in

your life.....you will be able to embrace the love and compassion of

your heavenly Father.....receiving His strength and grace to take you

through the darkness. Persistent prayer will light your path.....This

path is compared to lights on the runway of every airport helping air

planes to land safely in spite of the darkness. Keep on praying and

trusting in Yahweh, the true and the living God. Allow the light of

Jesus to shine brightly through you, so that someone will see the light

in spite of the darkness !

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I

always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first

day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you

will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart;

for whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you

share in God’s grace with me. God can testify how I long for all of you with

the affection of Christ Jesus.

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in

knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best

and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of

righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of

God. Philippians 1:3-11

If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort

from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and

compassion, then make my joy complete by being liked minded, have the same

love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or

vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than you. Each of you

should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interest of others.

Your attitudes should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the very nature of God, did not consider equality with God

something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of

a servant, being made in human likeness.

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became

obedient to death—even death on the cross! Therefore God exalted him to be

the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the

name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the

earth, and every tongue confess Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God and

the Father. Philippians 2:1-11

I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of

sharing in his suffering, becoming more like him in his death, and so

somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead. Philippians 3:10

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be

evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in

everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to

God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard

your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

THE BURDEN OF THE MANGER, A MOTHER & THE MISSION TO

HE WAS BORN IN A MANGER AMONG ANIMALS DEMOSTRATING

THAT EARTH IS AND ALL WITHIN IT IS VANITY AND JUST AN

SHADOW OF ADBUBDANT LIFE!

Our future was born among the animals and laid in their eating bowl animals

for a bed. Straw was the first mattress He was laid upon and the animals the

first to witness His entry in this world. Only things He personally created were

used as their materials for His comfort and welcome. Why would the Creator

of heaven and earth, the maker and owner of all things not allowed His son to

be born in the palace of an earthly ruler, in a hospital or even in a church or

place of worship? He who created the world could have send angels to bring

His only child to earth, trumpets blowing to announce His presence, a

Heavenly chorus announcing His entry to the entire world and not just a

group of poor shepherds or He could have send angels to build a Palace and

worked as servants;

but He choose to allow this Holy child to be born in a manger. When I was a

little boy I asked my grandmother to buy me a manger for a bed, I really love

Jesus and was taught in Sunday school that we were to be like Jesus. I wanted

to be like Jesus but had not heard of any of my friends who ever slept in a

manger. She laugh and said to me; "Alex, my Dear child; the burden of the

manger is far greater then a bed‖. I will never forget those words for I

remember being sad that my grandmother who love me so much and got me

anything I ask ;even if it was her last penny ,had denied me a manger.

The burden of a manger is laid aside for only one person who was capable of

carrying a responsibility far beyond the normal capability of a man; but yet

had to be a man to achieve the destiny of such a person. He could have been

born to a queen mother but it was not a matter of status and royalty that was

earthly; but purity and a chosen empty vessel from a promised linage willing

to be filled without questions. It was a very blessed yet heavy and many times

risky, heart broken and painful task. It took a special type of person to bear

the burden of such a child. Imagine the Creator of all things not being able to

find a decent room to enter the earth. Everywhere was filthy with sin and the

Holy child could not be born in any of those places; therefore He had to come

in the room of the animals like Adam. That is our real dwelling place for from

the dust we were created and back to the dust we go when we return. All else

on this earth is vanity; our silver or gold, cars or houses.

The mother of this Holy child who had yet to get over the mysterious

circumstances of His concievement, unable to named Him for one was chosen

for him and getting over the fear of disgrace from her husband and kinsmen

for having a child before marriage and his strange dream and final

acceptance; was puzzled even more by the mysterious events that happened

when this child was born and laid in the manger. The animals were her first

guest and my personal view is that they came quietly to behold the child. Later

shepherds came running from the fields from different directions with stories

of angels and songs of glory sang by a heavenly chorus group. More

amazingly were they when three men7Kings/wiremen from different parts of

the world came from the east and told them about a star hanging over the

manger and precious gifts; including gifts of royalty, and final preparation of

the dead. She had hardly gotten over her amazement or even rested properly to

regain a little strength when they were warned of a threat against the young

child life. Darkness, principalities and powers in high places had now sense a

threat to their freedom and had launch an attack to attack the young child,

thinking that He was weak because He was now flesh.

Many innocent souls were slaughter in this attack. Pain, weeping and agony

which He came to do away with were also present. The Family was warn and

had to flee their land and become refugees in a strange land whose people,

culture and language they did not know. The burden of the manger is not a

usual one and it took a special type of family go through the unusual

circumstances. Let examine a little of the mixture the needed to go through for

the rest of their lives.

The burden of bearing this Holy child was not just for any woman. Certain

blessing goes with responsibilities so heavy that they can not just be bestowed

upon just anyone. A Queen could not be able to carried out such a

responsibility and if was born in Africa could run the risk of been killed or

thrown away as an evil child into the evil forest. Many women not prepared

for such a responsibility would have fear or even harm their child. It had to be

a special type of vessel. There was a period when the young child remain in

the temple without their knowledge causing them to panicked as they search

for Him, only to be told by Him that He was doing His Father duty; as a

young man He deserted the carpenter shop and begin to teach and preach

declaring Himself the Savior of the world and Lamb of God who would be

sacrifice for the sins of the world. He was declared insane by the righteous

Leaders of the time and threaten with death but denied His mother and

brothers in their face when they came to take Him home. He challenge the

Leaders of the day, flogged them in the temple claiming they were making the

house of His father a market place, had special powers to healed the sick,

raise the dead, and even cast out demons but yet was arrested and charge as a

criminal by the very ones He came to save; and finally hung like a common

criminal on the cross, yet on the third day He rose again and finally ascended

to Heaven before her very eyes.. All these things happened when she was alive.

I imagine her life at times and just admired her strength as a mother. She

loved and followed Him from the manger to the cross and beyond. That is why

many women would have prayed to mothered Him but was not qualified for

the task that went with the responsibility. I never read once where she

regretted or complained ever given birth to Him but was with Him even

though many times she did not really understand. There were times in her

communities or beyond she was adored and hated as the mother of this child,

respected as a mother of a great teacher, healer, etc and scorn, shamed by

those religious leaders who ways He preached against, had many sleepless

night when she heard threat against His life and heart broken when she watch

nails driven in the hands of her son, amazed when he rose again and

perplexed when he ascended to heaven.

What a life, what a heavy load, what a responsibility, what a burden? It had to

be a unique family specially equipped by heaven to carry out such a burden.

Joseph a carpenter might have thought he was dreaming when he discovered

that his yet to be virgin wife was heavy with a child. He was very angry and

might harbor thoughts to driving her out of the home to be disgrace and stone

to death; despite her story of angel and heavenly encounter which resulted

into the birth of the child she was carrying and the proof she provided by

saying that a more than eighty years old cousin of hers and wife of the Priest

Zechariah was also heavy with child. Before he could action, he was warned

in a dream that such action would affect him for his wife had spoken only the

facts. Joseph therefore had to accept and marry Mary the mother of the child.

We don’t hear much about Joseph beyond the fact that the young Christ

worked in the shop with him as a young man, he fathered other children by

Mary and when the child got lost as the returned from the temple. Have you

ever wondered why Joseph a carpenter and not a Priest, religious Leader,

scribe or Pharisee; and learned as trade carpentry and not a temple where He

could study the scriptures according to man? What else was there for the Holy

Child to learn when He was in the beginning and He is the LIVING WORD

that came to be fulfilled in our lives. What he needed to learn was about was

the instrument built by man to punished criminals; even though both the

punished and punisher were guilty of sin before the eyes of Heaven and all

condemned to death. As a carpenter he might have built many crosses for

criminals, might have even had the chance to try it out. This was training for

the final battle with the devil. We know that God is all knowing and all those

years as He build crosses for others and watch criminals crucified; He knew

that one day He had to face the powers of darkness for the freedom of man.

He was born for one reason only and that was to save man from destroying

himself. We worship vanity and forget most times that the clock is ticking and

at any given hour it could all end. He came to open our eyes to the reality that

this stage is only an illusion and what we think we have is not permanent and

will pass away with time. He wanted us to understand that there is a more

perfect place where we belong and are heading for. Here on earth words like

love, peace, justice and many more are abstract and can never be achieved

fully until we reach our final destination where only God can give us

wholeness. That is why He came personally to give us one final opportunity to

make things right with God for our inequities in order to be granted pardon

and gain entrance to a place where the life we hope for without pain or sorrow

will be forever.

He came that we may understand that He is always with us during this stage

of our journey. This stage is heavy and painful at times but in Him we can

reach to the destination, leaning on His arms in times.

Know that vanity and illusion is all we can gain here if God is not in our lives

and if we do not follow the footsteps of Christ our Master. There is no full life

here; there is no permanent home or property that one can own here. During

His birth & life He demonstrated to us that all we see touch or think we feel

here is just vanity. This is while as we celebrate Christ daily in our lives, in

and out of seasons, holidays, times of pain or joy, we must never forget the

burden of a Child born in a manger for our sins. When we decide to become

proud and arrogant over the vanities we call our possessions on this earth ;

think back to a King who laid down Him Crown and comfort and exchange it

all for a manger, shame and a cross for He understood the illusions of vanities

that cause our hearts to be desperately wicked. When we celebrate Christ daily

we draw closer to reality and understand that this earth is just a stage we are

passing through; a stage liken to the valley of the shadow of death where we

need the hands of our Savior to guide us along the way. As we pass through

this valley, if we must arrive at our final destination; we must dwell under the

shadow of the Almighty for protection and guidance. May God bless us as we

travel along to eternal life!
