Dear Friends,

Welcome to our Fair Under the Stars. We are so grateful you’re here as we come together in support of Family Service of Glencoe.

Tonight would not be possible without the support of our hosts Mr. Bruce Bachmann and his late wife, Mrs. Ann Bachmann, who recently passed away. Our deepest sympathies are with the Bachmann family, and our gratitude remains for their unwavering support over the years.

We’d also like to thank our benefit co-chairs, Julie Finerty, Anne McPhee and Claudia Mion-Spiesz, along with their committee members, for their hard work and creativity in planning tonight’s event. Our thanks extend to the rest of the FSG board for their tremendous dedication and support – not just for tonight’s event, but throughout the year.

Our annual benefit is a critical source of support for FSG. Your generosity makes it possible for our talented staff to do what they do best: strengthen families and support friends, neighbors and those who work in Glencoe, including many who cannot pay for our services, during challenging times.

Together, we are creating a stronger, healthier Glencoe. Thank you, and enjoy the evening. Sheilah Burnham and Kim Cornell Co-Presidents of the Board Family Service of Glencoe

following possible: • Professional and affordable family, couples, youth and

individual counseling, available on a sliding scale

• 24-hour crisis intervention in partnership with Glencoe Public Safety

• Parent education and support through our Youth and Family Outreach work and Glencoe Parent Connection

• Domestic violence intervention and prevention

Your contribution to Family Service of Glencoe is an investment in strengthening our community.

1. Silent auction tables will open at 6:30 p.m. and close at 9:30 p.m. Last calls for bidding will be announced at that time. You may pay and collect your merchandise beginning at 10 p.m.

2. All bids must be made with the bid number on the paddle you will receive at check-in. Each silent auction item has a lot number and a minimum bid amount.

3. Each silent auction item has a bid sheet. Place your bid by writing your PADDLE NUMBER and the bid amount legibly on the bid sheet. Minimum bids are indicated on each bid sheet. Subsequent bids must increase at least by the increment noted on the bid sheet to be considered valid.

4. The final bid for all silent auction items will be circled by a committee member upon closing and will represent the winning bid.

5. Raffle: The Raffle winner will receive fifty percent of the total price of raffle tickets sold for the event, splitting the pot with Family Service of Glencoe. FSG will provide the winner with a check for the winning amount within one week of the event.

6. Heads or Tails Game: The Heads or Tails game will take place at 9:45 p.m. on the dance floor. The band leader will announce the game rules and the winner will be chosen at the end of the game. The winner will pick up his or her prize at checkout.

7. Live Auction: To bid, signal the Auctioneer. It is the responsibility of the bidder to make certain that his or her bid is acknowledged by the Auctioneer. The Auctioneer’s decision as to the successful bidder is final.

8. When the auctioneer announces “SOLD” for a Live Auction item, title for that item will pass to the highest bidder.

9. No pets or unaccompanied minors may take part in any of the auction experiences.

10. Payments must be made in full on the night of the benefit, May 4, 2013. Checks should be made payable to Family Service of Glencoe.

11. All sales are final; no exchanges or refunds.

12. Values set for the items being auctioned are estimates given by the donors and are not guaranteed by FSG. Purchases are tax-deductible only to the extent that the amount paid exceeds the fair market value of the item.

13. Please note any and all restrictions for auction items stated in the displays and gift certificates. Items are not redeemable for cash. Restrictions have been outlined as provided by donors. Unless otherwise stated, gift certificates do not include tax, gratuity or alcoholic beverages.

14. By his or her purchase, the buyer waives any claims for liabilities against FSG or the donor of the respective item or service. Neither FSG nor the donors are responsible for any personal injury or damage to self and property that may result from the use of the item or service sold.

15. Items will not be released without payment in full. All items must be removed from the premises the night of the auction.
