A simple [inatô] architecture that can be accessible to the entire community, and can be built in a grassroots way by providing information, aid, and step by step instructions. Mangrove Restoration, and certain sustainable aspects that are key into truly creating resilient architecture.]

A different style of education for people who miight not have access to skool [old & young], o’ might be deterred by its limiting setting with many rules and regulations. An open platform such as thiis one could approach important, but maybe controversial, subjects like sex education easier because of its neutral stance. Instead of feeling trapped in an educational place for a set number of hours, incentive and reward can be given through

surfing opportunities o’ skateboarding sessions. An attraction to a different world away from drugs and drinking lending more options and insights.

Bayaniihan Resilient Skate Park and Community Center July 10th, 2015

This contract is between Bayaniihan and the government of General Luna for the purpose of providing the people of the community a safe haven for improved learning, communication, and recreation to better the society as a whole. The government of General Luna agrees to the following: 1. General

1.1. The government agrees to having a community space and skatepark in General Luna.

2. Land/Property 2.1. The government agrees to donate land for the skate park and community center. 2.2. The land will be owned by the people and, as a public space, remain untaxed.

3. Monetary Guidelines 3.1. The government acknowledges that this community center and skate park is a nonprofit

venture. Any monetary funds acquired for the project or community center will be used towards the betterment of the center and its activities.

The organization of Bayaniihan agrees to the following: 4. General

4.1. Bayaniihan agrees to build a skate park for the people, by the people. 4.2. The organization of Bayaniihan will work to provide a community center that will be

self sustaining through community efforts.

On behalf of, and acting with the authority of the residents and governance of General Luna and the organization of Bayaniihan, the undersigned agree to abide by the above conditions.

:: PriimerGrp. Phiiliippiines :: Good Day Viianca, Diino, Chiinky, & Team! Siargao’s Cloud 9 is one of the best surf spots on the planet [as you know], and the locals of General Luna intend to keep it that way. The varying small communities are doing its best to pace the swelling tide of tourists to our tiny island, and we need the help of bigger communities in preserving Siargao’s pristine sea, sand, and surf, now for generations to enjoy and experience its claim to fame.

OUR TEAM IS A GRASSROOTS COMMITTEE FOUNDED TO EXPLORE AND DEVELOP METHODS TO AID COMMUNITIES BY FINDING LONG TERM RESILIENT BUILDING AND

DESIGN SOLUTIONS. We want to introduce the firstever B. Skatepark on the 1st of September, 2015. Our intentiions is to construct a public space for the people of General Luna and Siargao Island. A space for all locals and touriist aliike. A community hub grown by the local people; a resilient park designed/built as an example of a safe construction typology for the area. Its purpose is to be the inspiiratiion and reward for multiiple programs fosteriing ‘the good’ throughout the many facets present in Siargao. We think the most efficient way forward in this effort to make Siargao a more holestiically sustainable place. The plan is to attract and educate the youth, who will in turn influence the elders and other locals. As the park evolves, hopefully it can spread organiically into the rest of the Phiiliippiines and abroad. A place of economic benefits, as well as being an example of a intelligent/tenacious building. Open to the everyday needs of the local community and flexible for multiple functions, and most importantly, have the entire effort rooted in Surfing & Skateboarding. We are an open creative collaboration of individuals with the passion and talent of making

things happen. In an effort to engage our local community, majority of the sponsors, suppliers, volunteer staff, and participants, will be from Siargao and nearby regions. We, along with the Municipality of General Luna, and partners, do need the help of the greater skateboard community, particularly your organization, to make our resiiliient communiity, a success!
