Logline

Three men are secretly abducted by the military, experimented on, injected with alien DNA, then shot into outer space. Seventy years later, NASA has a UFO sighting and a alien visitor who wants to return home.

Pitch

DARRELL RIPKIN, only a year removed from WWII, volunteers for what he believes to be a free medical program. This was actually the Tuskegee Syphillis Study that spanned over forty years. The military used this study to secretly recruit Darrell and two of his army buddies. They were sent to AREA 51 in Nevada, injected with alien DNA. DNA that was recovered from a alien crash landing in Roswell, New Mexico. These men were shot into outer space in 1947. Seventy years later, Darrell returns to earth to what he thinks is his home. By sheer coincidence, Darrell's grandson, DARRELL 'SATCHEL' RIPKIN, works for NASA and is in charge of apprehending this alien....his grandfather.

Synopsis

Act I

In Tuskegee, Alabama 1946... DARRELL RIPKIN lives with his wife SUTPIE and their nine year old son DARRELL JR. Home from the war Darrell is looking for work, but he's not feeling well. Sutpie is worried about his health, she suspects he has bad blood. Darrell is a fan of the old Negro baseball league, and Satchel Paige is his favorite player. Almost daily Darrell and his son Darrell Jr.. would play catch, with the hope of Jr. becoming a major league baseball player like Satchel Paige.

The Ripkin's neighbor, Mr. NATE, recruits ABRAM, MALCOLM and Darrell to volunteer for the free medical program, only the program was at the health clinic, but they were told to got to the army base. The three men get sucked into the program,....there is a massive explosion at the base. Darrell, Abram and Malcolm have disappeared in the explosion, their bodies were never recovered.

Act II

The three men awaken in Area 51, with armed guards watching their every move.

For the next eighteen months the men are trained and are prepared to launch into space. DR. STEIN, THE GENERAL, and the GERMAN SCIENTIST explain to the men whats has happened to them. They are overcome with the news that they will never see their families again. Dr. Stein is excited about making history, if the experiment works. Darrell, Abram and Malcolm discover that they can communicate to each other without speaking, an apparent affect of the alien DNA. Dr. Stein informs the men that their families would receive a generous monthly stipend. As long as they cooperated, the money would continue to come in. Darrell realizes that he has to let Sutpie know he was alive without jeopardizing the money they are receiving.

The General decides its time and that the men are ready, he informs them that want to be the first country to put a man on the moon. The men realize that were just ginea pigs and would probably die. Malcolm becomes emotional and ultimately is shot and killed trying to escape. Abram dies during the flight into space, apparently the alien DNA had some adverse affect on him. Somehow Darrell survives because of the sickle cell anemia condition he has.

Technology in 1947 was archaic at best. There was a miscalculation and the rocket ship went off course and crashed landed on planet Rhea.

ACT III

Brooklyn,New York 2017, DARRELL 'SATCHEL' RIPKIN spends time with his fourteen year old daughter PAIGE. Satchel is divorced from his wife GLORIA, but still loves her. Satchel gets called to work, the nation faces its first real life UFO. Because he works for NASA, Satchel and his team are first call investigators. He gets a mysterious message to start his investigation at AREA 51. Here he meets MR. SMITH, a man who represents the small group of people who run the US. Mr. Smith threatens Satchel's family , and wants him to report directly to him about the UFO.Hovering over Tuskegee, the alien is deposited deep into the Tuskegee National Forest. Soon our alien has his first encounter.

Satchel and Paige have a great relationship and talk all the time. Paige is working on a family tree and has a lot of questions about her great grandfather. In fact, because of Paige's inquisitive mind, she helps Satchel discover who her great grandfather really is. Satchel's team searches for the alien, while balancing his job duties, worrying about the safety of his family whose been threatened by a Mr. Smith. He really would like to make up with Gloria, Paige would like for her parents to get back together, but Gloria is not gonna forgive Satchel.

The alien is leaving a trail of people he encounters. He has the ability to see DNA. This ability enables him to see if they are sick, he puts them in a frozen like trance which heals them. As the investigation continues, Mr. Smith interferes, the pressure mounts for Satchel. On top of this DARRELL JR, Satchel's father dies. Satchel and his team close in on the alien and have him on the run, along with the military and black ops ,but soon find themselves on the run as well.
