The Attitude of Faith

Faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses!

To live by faith means to accept something as real fact even when it is not revealed to your five senses.

Living by faith is an attitude that believes it has something before the five senses give confirmation. As believers living by faith, we can be confident that the fulfillment of God’s promises is in fact a reality in our lives before we experience those promises in the realm of our five senses.

Just because something is not revealed to the five physical senses does not mean it doesn’t exist. Faith makes invisible things real. (John 3:8, 1 Kings 19:11-12)

Faith is the proof that what you cannot see will become a reality in your life.

Faith doesn’t wait for the five physical senses to confirm the Word of God in your life because faith knows that God’s promises are trustworthy. (Hebrews 6:13)

Has anyone ever told you had an Attitude? If someone ask if you have an attitude, just let them know

that Yes you have one. (Phil 4:8, 4:13)

Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”

Hmmm...as a matter of fact—yes! You know, come to think about it, I have been accused of simply believing that I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me; that God meets all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus! I also believe that should any sickness or disease come upon me, that I will live and not die and declare |the works of the Lord, and that all things are possible to them that believe God.

I have an attitude that I can do anything through Jesus! Someone might say…."What kind of attitude is that?" The answer is simple… An attitude of faith and expectation in God Almighty!

Don’t lose your joy in the mist of trouble. James writes that we need to cling to Joy when tribulation comes.

(James 1:3)

Being Positive also sets the mood, tone and reaction to our trials in Life.People who take a positive approach tend to always see the big picture and the blessing that God

has awaiting for us down the road.

Lets examine the Story of Joshua and Caleb.Numbers 13:1-20The background and events that lead up to Numbers 13.• God sends Moses into the land of Egypt to rescue and deliver His people from their slavery to the Egyptians.

• He throws 10 plagues at the Pharaoh in order to get him to release His people from their bondage.

• God parts the Red Sea to complete the deliverance mission. God the Father performs one of the most powerful, supernatural displays of signs and wonders that the world has ever seen to get His people pulled out of Egypt.

• Moses tells God’s people that God will give them what He calls the Promised Land.

• God purposely tested His people to see if they would hold fast to Him and follow all of His ways while in this wilderness setting. And time after time, they continued to get themselves in major trouble with the Lord.

• 2 years into this 40 year wilderness journey is where they finally blew it for the last time with God the Father.

• The Israelites sent twelve spies into the Promised Land to check out who the enemy was and to develop battle strategies to defeat them.

• God was going to allow them to go into the Promised Land, but they first had to defeat and drive out some of their enemies in order to conquer and possess the land.

• Let’s Discuss the story in Depth.

Positive Thinking through Faith?

God instructed Moses to send out spies to the Land that was promised to the Children of Israel.

• 12 spies sent out. 1 from each Tribe.• Joshua and Caleb were among the twelve. • They spent 40 days surveying the land.• When they came back they brought back a report that was mostly negative.• How did the Report Affect the People? It Was Negative? • Is Negativity Contagious? Yes and Can Spread. As it did with the Israelites.• What did it do their Faith? It SABOTAGE them..• It turned to a depressive state. (Mourning and Weeping 14:1)• They Regressed. (14:2-3) We believe also that we were better off in our “Used to be” state.• Their doubt led to Suppression. Had forgotten there “from to Story”. (14:11) • They began to then go “Haywire”. (14:4) The Negative or Lack of Faith began to affect decision making.

A Nation Saved by three Men.• Joshua and Caleb Positive Discourse..We can Take It!!! (14:6-9)• Stood with Jehovah-Jireh. Didn't let the people deter their Faith. Rose above the detractors!• The People wasn’t trying to hear it! (14:10)• God’s Reaction to the people’s lack of Faith. (14:11-12)• Moses Plea for a Nation (14:19)• Not this Generation….God's “Wandering” Punishment• Why did He Punish? and Who?
