The September 11 attacks (often referred to as September 11th or 9/11) were a series of coordinated suicide attacks by Al-queda upon the United States on September 11, 2001.

On that morning, 19 al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four commercial passenger jet airlines

The hijackers intentionally crashed two of the airliners into the Twin Towers of the world trade center in New York city

Nearly 3,000 victims and the 19 hijackers died in the attacks

According to the New York State Health Department, 836 responders, including firefighters and police personnel, have died as of June 2009

The attacks on pearl harbor from the Japanese naval force were a surprise to the united states.

It happened at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on the morning of December 7, 1941.

The next day the United States declared war on Japan.

I am of East Indian descent, from Trinidad and Tobago (fourth generation). At the time of 9/11 I lived in New Jersey and commuted to NYC to work on First Avenue and Houston.

After 9/11 I was very nervous about going into the City, as nervous as everyone else. I was particularly affected by the fear of leaving my home that enveloped me on a daily basis.

You see, although I come from a country in the Caribbean, Americans thought I was Iraqi, Pakistani, you name it.

The U.S made camps for Japanese or Asian people so they don’t cause harm to the city of Hawaii. Despite the fact that most people who were Japanese were against their own country.

I think that both attacks were awful and they were both racist related so I think what Afghanistan and Japan got they deserved don’t you?
