If you manage your files correctly, these questions won’t be a problem
How do I store files?
All of your files should be saved into
folders within the Documents folder.
TO DO
› Open the Documents folder on your laptop
How do I create folders?
› Right click – add folder
› Name the folder e.g. Food Technology,
geography, Maths etc
› Once a folder is created you can create
subfolders inside it.
For example: Food Technology>Assigment1
Things to remember
File names should be relevant› You can use date or numeric format:
20120319_Task1 meaning that this task was given on the 19 March 2012
0319_Task 1 19th March › You can use an alphabetical format

Can I create folders in mail?› The simple answer here is YES? › How do you do it you may ask…..
Scroll down to MORE > Create name From here you can drag and drop relevant
emails into the folder so you can access them easily.
Managing Files
It is important to;
› be consistent when naming files
› Save files and folders in the proper
place
› Maintain your folders and sub folders
› Back up your data
