It is believed that the American Revolution didn’t just start because they wanted to, but because there were motives. Britain gained some territory from France, and British officials and bureaucrats decided that they wanted to expand their control over to the colonies. During the 1740’s, British population had grown in size. In the colonies they have doubled in population, forcing Britain to start paying attention to the colonies. During the eighteenth century over population caused the colonists to start moving away from the thirteen mile strip of territory and into what is known now as Tennessee and Georgia. The colonies also went through an economic growth, the colonies made it a custom part of their economy. The colonies took 25% of English exports involvement. It was believed that during this time George III was a tyrant because he chose his own minister. The British government also had a decrease in revenue and decided they would try to gain more money by taxing more on the trading goods.

In 1760 and 1764 there was an increase in unsold goods. Some tobacco crops even dropped down to 75 percent.

American’s anger was directed to England’s government for not having good sells in the colonies

In 1764 the parliament passed the new Currency act, which prohibited the use of paper money.

When royal authorities passed the Stamp act, a great opposition started in the colonies and most Americans protested by not importing anymore British goods.

When Britain heard that the stamp act wasn't enforced, Britain started the tax other goods such as paint, when that didn’t work Britain sent its army to the colony shores.

As this got worse Thomas Jefferson and John Adams argued about Britain's issues and the issues of all the colonies.
