Putting these together through interviews with inhabitants of the Big Easy and writing down their stories she has created a mosaic of culture, creole-kitchen, Mardi Gras, music and more. In order to introduce the audience to the flavors of the city, Tom McDermott will accompany the book presentation on the piano. McDermott is not only the person who stands for the music chapter of the book, but is one of the leading jazz pianists and composers in New Orleans today.
