Welcome to the Seventh Scientific Agricultural Conference (SSAC-2012). This conference will be held by Faculty of Agriculture of Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in Irbid, Jordan, on occasion of its silver jubilee, during the period 8-10 October 2012. SSAC-2012 will be held in collaboration with Faculties of Agriculture at Jordanian Universities, Association of Agricultural Engineers, National Center for Agricultural Research and Extension and Private Sector. The conference will include a two-days symposium (oral presentations and poster display) followed by a one day scientific tour. The symposium will be accompanied by Agricultural Exhibition.

CALL FOR PAPERS
The organizing committee invites you to submit an abstract of your work to be presented at the conference. The abstract should not exceed 300 words and must include a clear definition of the problem with objectives, methodology and obtained results. The deadline for abstract submission is September 6, 2012. The abstract will be reviewed by the conference scientific committee regarding its scientific or technical contribution toward the conference objectives and topics. Author(s) will be informed about the status of the abstract acceptance by September 6, 2012. English and Arabic will be used in the conference. Research papers in both languages are accepted. The Abstract Form is available on the conference web site (www.just.edu.jo/ssac-2012) and to be sent as attachment file to conference contacts. ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS
There will be oral presentations during plenary sessions and poster presentations during the poster session. Please indicate your preference for oral or poster presentation at the time of abstract submission. Only one oral presentation is allowed per registered participant. The preference for oral or poster presentation specified by the authors at submission is indicative only. FULL PAPERS
All authors of accepted abstracts (both oral and poster presentation) wish to publish their papers in Jordan Journal of Agricultural Sciences (http://journals.ju.edu.jo/JJAS), they might submit the full paper to conference organizers by date of conference. Negotiations with journal editor to publish special issue for conference papaers is going on. PROCEEDINGS
Abstracts of both oral and poster presentations will be printed in a special Abstract book. VENUE

REGISTRATION
To register for the Seventh Scientific Agricultural Conference, please submit a registration form from the conference web site (www.just.edu.jo/ssac-2012). Registration fees are 150 U.S. Dollars (It covers conference package, publications of program and abstracts book, coffee breaks and lunches and scientific tour). PAYMENT

transfer document by email or fax. TRAVELLING TO IRBID
The host conference participants come to Jordan will arrive via Queen Alia International Airport in Amman and then travel by car to Irbid for about one hour (about 90 km from Amman). For participants arriving Amman airport on Sunday 7 October 2012, special shuttle service to the hotels site will be arranged by conference organizers for charge. Exact time and charge amount will be announced later. Therefore, participants who would like to take the shuttle service should provide the Conference Secretariat with information on flight numbers and the exact time of their arrival at Amman airport. PARTICIPANTS TRAVELLING TO IRBID ON THEIR OWN
There are two means of transportations from Amman airport to Irbid. Either by taking airport taxi cab from airport directly to your booked hotel in Irbid (cost about 75 US dollars), or by taking airport bus to Irbid travel complex in Amman (North Travel Complex) and then take public transport to Irbid (cost about 20 US dollars).

ACCOMMODATION
The main venue of the conference will be at JUST campus (about 18km from Irbid city). The cost of accommodation is not included in the conference registration fee. However the organizing committee has made arrangements for special accommodation rates to be offered to conference participants in two hotels in Irbid city as you will see next. The prices are per night per room in Jordan Dinars (JD). Shuttle service from the hotel to the conference site and back will be available. The reservation should be made directly by participant himself. The reservation form is available on the conference web site (www.just.edu.jo/ssac-2012) and to be sent as attachment file to hotel by e-mail or fax directly to the selected hotel and make copy to conference organizers.
