The 400-hectar park is filled with flowers, forests and activities!The park is roughly divided into four zones where flowers, forests and activities can be enjoyed in different seasons.

Visitors can view eight hundred species of seasonal plants and flowers in extensive fields of flower and herb gardens.

* By presenting the receipt from one parking lot, others in the park can be used free of charge on the same day.

An 18-hole park golf course is located near the Higashi Guchi gate. The course and equipment can be used free of charge.

Visitors can ride around the Keiryu Zone on bicycles. Rental service is also available.

Even beginners can enjoy fishing easily at Fishing Takino fishing pond, approx. 0.8 km from the Keiryu Guchi Entrance (charges apply).

There are four cooking areas in the park that can accommodate up to 1,000 people. Carts, blocks and log chairs can also be used free of charge.

Large playground equipment and facilities, including bikkuri (surprise) balls 1.2 m in diameter, an indoor net playground and a play pool, stimulate the adventurous spirits and curiosity of children.* Age restrictions on some facilities

The park has two restaurants and four snack shops. There are also rest areas for visitors to eat their own boxed lunch and vending machines. It’s also good to have a picnic on the grass on sunny days.

In Takino Park, the Takino no Mori Zone is especially abundant with nature. Visitors can feel connected with nature by viewing native wild plants, rice paddies and other features of the zone.

There are four attractive waterfalls, including the Ashiribetsu Fall chosen as one of Japan’s 100 famous waterfalls. Enjoy the different appearances and sounds of water flowing down these waterfalls.

The park has two accommodation facilities. Auto Resort Takino has a variety of sites ranging from cabins to free tent sites. Sapporo Youth Lodge can be used for group training on outdoor activities.

Takino Park promotes Nordic walking using poles. Special poles and pedometers are available for loan free of charge.

The Park Bridge, which is a symbol of Takino Park, welcomes approximately 600,000 visitors every year.

Takino Suzuran Hillside National Park, which is Hokkaido’s

only government-managed park, is situated in a quiet forest

approximately 50 minutes’ drive from downtown Sapporo.

Bird, plant and other nature observation, cycling, camping and

other activities can be enjoyed in an extensive natural setting,

including the Ashiribetsu-no-taki (Ashiribetsu Fall), which is the

origin of the name of Takino. Seasonal flowers await the

visitors in the Country Garden, where a rural landscape typical

of Hokkaido spreads. In winter, sledding, skiing, snowshoeing

and other snow activities can be enjoyed.

Be sure to visit Takino Park where the splendor of Hokkaido’s

changing seasons can be experienced with the five senses.
