6,000 graduates later...Academia Management Solutions International, AMSI, and its schools, have been dedicated to transforming the lives of students for over 30 years. AMSI schools have graduated over 6000 students and have been home to over 200000 students at one time or another. The walls of our schools now share a thousand secrets…As parents, all we want is the betterment of children’s education. As educators with a wealth of knowledge and international expertise, we have a daily quest for the betterment of our schools. As a management company that combines family values with a professional approach, we developed a sense of the urgency at both the schools level and the investor level. We became the solution provider we set out to be. Welcome to our world...Al Mawakeb… 31 years later… ISAS... 3 years later... over 400,000students who at some point or another made our schools theirhome… over 6000 graduates later… all are celebrating with ustonight every one of them proud of you…

It is never easy to bid a loved one farewell… you have watched themgrow…you shared some of their dreams…you have seen their pas-sion and you may have even glimpsed into their future…you haveseen them fall and rise again… you know their strength and theirweakness and they have made you proud…now they leave you andare left with the wonder of their memory, and the gnawing need tofind out what they have achieved…

We are teachers and it is our destiny…you pass through our livesevery year and move on…we are privileged for we touch your lives, and through them we better our own… We shall always hear of theriches of the world, and never see any of it. What we will always haveis the feeling that no profession can offer… The satisfaction thatcomes with a smile of gratitude, or with a handshake and a hug anda sincere expression of thanks.

At the end of today…there will be a lot of tears and a lot of smiles…And tonight right before they turn in, your teachers shall think backupon the years… those who worked with you in any class along theway, shall remember how you have progressed and they shall know, that they shall always be part of your lives…

Then they will switch off their lights, smile and sleep very well forthey know that you are going to be fine…

Fare well and know that you are in our hearts...

Al Mawakeb School... a special home for 14 years...

Another year goes by, and we find ourselves bidding our studentsfarewell as they set forth on another journey of learning and self-dis-covery. With the class of 2010, an elite group of students deserve a spe-cial mention – a group that spent 14 years within their second home, AlMawakeb. We proudly reminisce their first day of school. Their little handsgripped their parents’ as they opened the doors to the school thatwould later become a second abode. Every year, we saw the once anx-ious and frightened 3-year olds grow and prosper to become hopeful, spirited and curious young learners.

They now stand tall before us, fine young men and woman, each with tremendous confidence andintegrity. They leave us with the greatest of memories; a first dance or song on Mothers’ Day, tri-umph during a sports challenge, endless hours cramming for exams, or memorable performancesduring activities and shows...We are confident that their endless energy and fervour will continue to shine in any challenge thatwill come their way, whether big or small, academic or fun. We are proud of whom they’ve become,of how they created the highest, grandest vision possible for their lives. The next steps for you we expect will be glittering. You have the chance to follow your passion andcreate a successful life with all the values you learned, knowledge you attained and potential you pos-sess. Give it everything you have no matter what the destination is.

It has been 3 years since180 students arrived with their parentsand knocked on our doors, all eager to experience what ISAS hasto offer.

We started small, often no more than 10 students per class. Butdespite the small numbers, we were determined to create forthem an atmosphere where individuality and growth were wel-comed and encouraged.

As the second anniversary of our school approached, we saw thegrowth of our family, an increase in student body and staff, andmore opportunities and experiences shared.

But it was from its beginnings that ISAS saw the maturity of a cul-ture and spirit that would make it what it has become today.Although our students were young, with no juniors or seniors topave the way and lead the younger learners, they strove with suchfervent energy to create the most wonderful memories, impressiveaccomplishments and remarkable triumphs.

We are proud of how hard they worked together to create a har-mony among one another and a culture and spirit that have cap-tured us all...proud of how they conquered manychallenges...proud of how they whisked away the spotlights withtheir innovative genius at the young entrepreneur competi-tion...proud of how they exhibited their environmental awarenessat the Arab Forum for Environment and Development (AFED) inboth Bahrain and Beirut... proud of how such a small and younggroup beat their more experienced peers in Qatar with theirrobotics and computer skills...proud of their artistic talents be itat our own Art exhibitions or at the Dubai World Trade Centerand the Car Art Festival...

3 years later, we achieve our finest goal to date. We proudly wit-ness the commencement of 43 fine young ladies and gentle-men…The ISAS class of 2010, the first graduating class of theInternational School of Arts and Sciences.

A first graduating class that is truly First Class…

To the class of 2010, we say:

Congratulations! You made it!There is every reason to have an enormous amount of satis-faction at your success. You have worked hard, faced chal-lenges, and perhaps been overwhelmed at times. But now, youhave reached your first peak - we hope you have many more. As exciting as graduation is, it always comes with a barrage ofquestions about what your next steps will be. Don’t worryabout that. What truly matters is that you make the decision toface new challenges and experiences until you “figure it allout,” but make sure you experience it – successes, failures, everything! For it is with each new encounter that you willgrow and thrive.

No one knows what’s installed for each one of you or what experiences lay ahead, butthe best you can do is put yourselves out there and do your utmost. As graduates ofAl Mawakeb, in many ways, you’re prepared for what’s to come. Your school hasprepared you for life’s challenges because each one of you embodies focal character-istics that are key ingredients to success: spirit, character and a sense of community. The Al Mawakeb spirit instilled in all of you transcends beyond sports and competi-tions. It drives you to do your best in everything you set your mind to do – schoolwork, friendships forged, competitions, sports…Over the year, your school has instilled character in you. You’ve all spent time learn-ing in and out of the classroom, forming friendships, interacting with your teachers, being active in clubs, showing leadership, playing sports and competing in all kinds ofcontests. All of these activities have served to build your character by establishing astrong sense of right and wrong, a greater perspective on life, and a better under-standing of other people and yourselves. This kind of character will help you to expe-rience life’s future triumphs and hardships with dignity and courage. You’re all now lifetime members of the Al Mawakeb community. Over the next fewyears, college, jobs and relationships will pull you all in different directions. Although youmay see much less of each other, you’ll always have something in common: a sense ofbelonging to the place that has come to be known as your second home. This applies forall alumni who can now all relate to each other’s experiences here. So the next timeyou’re out there and life becomes stressful, scary or impossible, rest assured, take a shot– we’ll be pulling for you. The Al Mawakeb community is your community: support it,enjoy it, and lean on it when you need it.We have prepared you for what’s to come in many ways. Let the preparation, love andsupport from your family, friends and Al Mawakeb be your drive to put yourselvesout there and take your shots.
