Introduction to Team Foundation ServerTeam Foundation Server is a Microsoft product which provides source codemanagement, reporting, requirements management, project management,automated builds, lab management, testing and release managementcapabilities. It covers the entire Application Lifecycle Management. TeamFoundation Server delivers source control, work item tracking, TeamFoundation Build, a team project portal Web site, reporting, and projectmanagement capabilities. Team Foundation Server also includes a datawarehouse where data from work item tracking, source control, builds, andtesting tools are stored. Other Microsoft Visual Studio Team System serversinclude build servers and test servers. Depending on your business needs,you might choose to deploy some or all of these servers.
